Horrible: Democrats on DC Circuit Court of Appeals Agree to Full En Banc Hearing of Flynn Case
It's plain they're just trying to delay this until they can get a change of AG.
The entire Federal Appeals Court in Washington said on Thursday that it would take up a case involving Attorney General William P. Barr's decision to drop the prosecution of President Trump's former national security adviser Michael T. Flynn, erasing a split decision by a three-judge panel in June ordering an immediate end to the case. A terse order from the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said that a majority of its members had voted to erase a June 24 panel decision ordering the immediate dismissal of the case against Mr. Flynn, and set oral arguments before the full court for Aug. 11.A majority of the Court of Appeals' members are Democrats. By the way, the DC Court of Appeals is the most important court in America, after the Supreme Court. That's because it's the court of appeals for almost every single case involving the US government, which of course is located in DC. And of course it will be the court of appeals for most political trials. And expect many, many more political trials, if we lose in November. It was for the purposes of packing the DC Court with liberals that the Democrats fillibustered Miguel Estrada, who had been nominated to the court; it was for the purposes of packing the DC Court with liberals that the Democrats then got rid of the filibuster! First they used it to keep a conservative off the court, then they got rid of it to pack the court with liberals. The Democrats seem to understand the importance of judges, even if the "But Gorsuch" NeverTrump neoliberals don't (or pretend not to). Thanks to Tom Servo.

1) to hopefully get a new president in office to then railroad this guy
2) to delay any case which Flynn is somehow critical in.
The very day they announced they'd dropped the case against Flynn, the Trump administration announced a major push against the Coup members. Then, as soon as the judge decided he'd try Flynn anyway, that stalled.
There is something about Flynn's case or his ability to act freely which the Coup investigation hinges on or requires.

Federal Judges are, as I understand it, the only jurists who are legally able to keep a case going if both sides drop it. This is allegedly to prevent corruption from getting cases dropped, but in this case is using corruption to keep a case going.

The judge CAN request this, the process is being faithfully followed, its just being crookedly implemented. Sullivan has the legal right to do all this stuff, its just not meant to be used this way.

I think Flynn was onto the Obama admin's use of the intelligence community to go after their political enemies. He was looking at some sort of "audit" that would be or had been conducted on all the intelligence agencies.
So, if I'm remembering correctly, he knows a great deal about what the previous administration was up to, and who was in on it. Whether or not there's proof is another story. But given how badly certain people want to keep Flynn under wraps makes one wonder.

I don't know why people think Flynn has any sort of information that he can release once the case is dismissed of he is pardoned. I have never seen a compelling reason that he would have to keep such information hidden. Most likely, the entire effort to set up Flynn was because once he was in place as National Security Advisor he would be able expose all of the Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Brennan, etc. efforts to attack Trump. He could have exposed the fact that there was zero evidence of Russian collusion by the Trump campaign and the efforts to frame Trump and others. The Mueller attempted set up does not work with Flynn in place.

For the Left, this is a Hill to Die on....for two very important reasons.
1. It keeps Flynn in limbo and disallows him to actively participate in uncovering the corruption.

Essentially, the DC Court is saying..."Go ahead, bring your indictments of whomever (Brennan, Clapper etc.) This is what you are going to face in our court system. And, Barr is just naive enough to run any indictments through that same court system instead of doing so outside the DC zoo.

Certainly the coronavirus compliance and cowardice in the face of the "Floyd" rioters show how complacent people are (as did no reaction to a coup attempt). But the Left is impulsive and getting more reckless. They probably will overplay their hand and outrage the complacent at some point.
The best we can hope now is a relatively peaceful partition or life in a dismal police state. It probably will be the latter but with some luck could be the former.

Which is patently untrue, given the evidence even the DOJ has provided as to how their original evidence gathering in this case was illegal and it's prosecution demonstrated to be based on false information and discarding of exculpatory evidence. Sullivan wants Flynn's plea of guilty( done because he had terrible counsel originally) to stand and he wants to sentence him because of his own political bias.

No, that's not what this means. Sullivan wants to basically have a special counsel appointed to try the Flynn case after the DOJ dropped the charges. This just means that the court will now hear the merits of that, this isn't about sentencing.

reformation and revival in our nation. If people's hearts were virtuous
and good, if we turned back to morality and justice, then we wouldn't
have corrupt or partisan judges, we wouldn't have poor voter choices, we
wouldn't have corrupt cops or scum on the streets tearing things apart.
What needs to change is FROM WITHIN. Unless that changes, all the
civil wars and rebellion and fantasies of overthrowing corrupt
governments mean nothing. It will just result in a different flavor of
corruption. Meet the new boss, just the same as the old boss.
The problem with America is not bad leadership, its bad voters. We
don't have a sinister cabal of a few evil men manipulating things to
give them power, we have voters corrupted, greedy, hedonistic, and
lacking basic civic virtues PUTTING THEM INTO POWER.
Change the people's hearts, change the entire system. Don't change the people hearts and no good will come of any other change.

I have long given up trying to understand Trump's tactics, but I assume that he factors into his statements that whatever he says/tweets will force a whole lot of people into demanding the opposite.

Our judicial system is corrupt and beyond redemption. I propose before any issue may be brought before a judge the issue must be resolved by trial by combat. If either party refuses, then the other party wins. Only if trial by combat does not result in the death of a party will it proceed to a judge for final solution.
