The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

I’m a believer that we’re going to get a vaccine, but I think it’s going to take a while. The president himself — not that I usually quote him — finally admitted it’s going to get worse before it gets better. So we have to know that this isn’t going to get fixed tomorrow. But at some point, there’ll be a day after tomorrow, and we want to make sure the music industry and the musicians are still strong. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN)

Quote II

"I think there's certain things you're gonna have to deal with when you have a population of whatever the fuck L.A. is, it's like twenty million-plus people," Joe Rogan

Quote III

What they’ve proven over the last few months is this: They hate us and wish to torture us. Winnie the flu, that increasingly flimsy excuse, becomes day by day more obviously a paper tiger, and they stomp their little hooved feet and scream they won’t let us out to live our lives, and that we have no rights that don’t come from them. Sarah Hoyt

Health ambassadors? Really? More like Minimum Wage Brown Shirts.

Shoppers who refuse to wear a face mask will still be able to shop at Walmart, CVS and other retailers regardless of the companies' policies. The stores are apparently hoping to avoid confrontations between employees and angry customers.

Walmart said it will station "health ambassadors" at the store's entrances to remind shoppers about the mask requirement amid the coronavirus pandemic. But a training video spotted by CNN on Sunday tells employees to let a customer into the store and notify management if a customer refuses to wear a mask. The training video also tells employees to never physically engage with a customer or block them from entering the store.

I would like to remind the congress critter from NY to push his fat ass away from the buffet table to stop being a Nancy.

Democratic New York Rep. Jerry Nadler scolded three Republican congressmen for not wearing masks during a portion of the House Judiciary Committee’s questioning of Attorney General Bill Barr.

“I would remind Mr. Jordan, Mr. Biggs, and Mr. Johnson to stop violating the rules of the committee, to stop violating the safety of the members of the committee, to stop holding themselves out as not caring by refusing to wear their masks,” Nadler said.

How do you spell Asshole in polite company? Jerry Nadler.

BREAKING: Wisconsin police departments pulling out of DNC Convention

Police departments in Fond du Lac, Franklin and West Allis have backed out of the DNC convention, with some of them citing Milwaukee’s recent orders barring the police use of tear gas and pepper spray at demonstrations.

Milwaukee’s police chief tells @CharlesBenson4 today that more than 100 police agencies will not be coming to Milwaukee to assist with security for the Democratic National Convention

The chief would not say how many officers that was. The plan was to have 1,000 extra on hand

The projects you can accomplish with a Sawzall, amazing.
DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine — A man who cut his neighbor’s garage in half with a Sawzall was on friendly terms with the man who built the structure — just not with everyone who lived on the property after he died.

Gabriel Brawn used a land surveyor’s demarcation between the two lots as a guide to remove the half of the building sitting on his land when a dispute over the boundary line boiled over.

Tracy Brawn said Thursday that her husband’s actions on the day after Memorial Day marked the latest, and they hope the final, step of an often contentious relationship between her family, others in the neighborhood and various inhabitants of 148 Grove St. in recent years.

Brawn and her family moved back to Dover-Foxcroft in 2012 to live in the home where her husband had grown up at 140 Grove St. — a property that once included the 0.23 acres just to the south that is now 148 Grove St., where a small home was added several decades ago.

I wasn't going to mention in it in The ONT. But Kurt Schlichter and I have been receiving the same obnoxious text messages. In my case I responded, "Leave me the fuck alone" and I blocked the number.

One of the big problems with professional conservatism is that many of the people who are part of it are so remarkably bereft of humility while also having so much to be humble about. Take the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) – please. You would think that the organization that botched the 2018 midterms and lost the House might want to listen to its base. But no. No, we knuckle dragging voters are an obstacle to the real objective – which apparently is not victory. If only these people were as committed to fighting liberals as they are fighting conservatives.

Remember, all those Lincoln Project dorks were once “Republican” campaign consultants too. That’s the demo we’re dealing with here.

So, you know how you get all those text messages from various campaign entities that make you want to reach into your phone and throttle the sender? The ones that let you know that Donald Trump is greatly disappointed in you? Well, one popped up on my cell and I lost it. I got fed up. I was done. It read:

"We texted you TWICE. Why did you let your 500% Trump House Patriot match expire AGAIN? We'll give you 1 more chance. 500% match for 1 HR https://nrcc.news/30H8A."

So after drafting tonight's ONT I received the following text. Go ahead Morons run with that phone number.

+1(833) 505-8055
You CANNOT ignore this. 500% MATCHING EXPIRES in 3 HOURS. If you are a Trump Patriot & want to restore Trump's majority we NEED you NOW https://nrcc.news/307lSz

One of the very first online conservative columnists I read was Professor Mike Adams. A Not So Happy Warrior. Mike Adams, 1964-2020

At the time of his death Mike Adams was a professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington - although not a very popular one with the administration. You will generally see him described in the media as "Controversial Professor Mike Adams", as if it's the subject he teaches: Mike Adams, Head of the Department of Controversy. It wasn't always so. A two-time "Faculty Member of the Year" winner at the turn of the century, Adams grew more "controversial" as the university got more "woke". He got a book deal with Regnery (publishers of America Alone), and was quoted favorably by Rush:

mid protests taking place in major cities this weekend, universities were not immune to the violence.

Cities that experienced a rise in demonstrations this weekend included Portland, Oregon and Oakland, California. But violence spread to other cities, notably Richmond, Virginia, where police declared an “unlawful assembly” Saturday night, USA Today reports. The demonstrations were organized in advance and given the name of “Richmond Stands with Portland.” Six protesters were arrested on assorted charges.

On Sunday, Virginia Commonwealth University President Michael Rao told students and faculty that the school’s Monroe Park campus had been severely vandalized during Saturday’s protests. At least 80 windows were broken in at least a dozen buildings, Rao said. He said that furnishings were dragged out of the buildings and damaged, and multiple buildings were marked up with graffiti.

The pot calls the kettle black.

(Reuters) - Facebook Inc has taken the European Union to court for invading the privacy of its employees, the Financial Times reported on Monday citing two people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The social media company claims EU regulators have asked broad questions beyond the scope of two ongoing antitrust probes, and it has requested that the General Court in Luxembourg intervene, the report added. (on.ft.com/332lc0q)

Facebook and the EU did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.

Practice makes perfect. Or does it? Genius Award Runner Up.

Perhaps you can stop the police chase if they are laughing uncontrollably. Genius Award Winner.

A 40-year-old man who was allegedly blocking traffic in Orlando, Florida, by doing gymnastics in the road was caught on video on Tuesday, July 21, attempting to evade arrest by cartwheeling away from police.

This video, shared by Olivier Francois, shows the man in the path of a truck at a Wawa in Orlando. At one point, the man lies down in the middle of the roadway.

Living the "Great Command". Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

Before the barbecue trailer, there was the toilet paper popemobile.

With toilet paper hard to come by as stay-at-home orders took effect in many states earlier this year to flatten the curve of the coronavirus, Chad McMillan put the pastor of First Baptist Church of Navasota, Texas, on a trailer surrounded by plexiglass, "like the popemobile," he said. He handed the pastor a T-shirt gun loaded with toilet paper, each roll wrapped with a Bible verse.

“And I said, ‘I want you to shoot toilet paper rolls to bless the community,’” said McMillan, the church’s pastor of students, evangelism and missions.

A worker with Barbecue Baptist Church dispenses a roll of toilet paper from a T-shirt cannon during an outreach stop. Photo courtesy of Barbecue Baptist Church

The toilet paper distribution went so well, he added a pulpit, sound system and piano so he could hold pop-up worship services while flinging the TP.

McMillan joked about adding a barbecue pit, too.

Then he did — and Barbecue Baptist Church was born.

Why was Donald Trump, Jr.'s Twitter account frozen today

I just clicked this link, thinking it was the Honest Doctors video about HCQ.

It isn't, it took me to the gmail login page.

The Honest Doctor links, there are 2 of them, yesterday and today are at Breitbart, and here:

Day 1 (yesterday) 45 minutes:
https://tinyurl.com/y3tc86rr

Day 2 (today) 27 minutes:
https://tinyurl.com/y6zlax3m

suggestion: skip day 2 after the presser is over. Just white noise from scraggler protesters.

Now, forward these links to people you know.

Every other source of information is censoring them.

Update: apparently Breitbart has been eliminated from Google searches! Hence, I am guessing, MisHum's link went to gmail instead of the Breitbart video that got Don Jr, the Prez, and others censored.

And update #2: The Honest Doctors website, which I looked at yesterday, has also been taken down. Squarespace was their internet provider.

We are witnessing the New War Against America, in real time!

The five or so that spoke have active practices and have treated hundreds and hundreds of Covid patients. Most have decades experience as a frontline doctor.

The gal physician from Texas said she treated over 350 patients and counting, and gives them all HCQ, z-pak, and zinc.

All 350 have recovered.

There is two stages, early and advanced. Most are using HCQ as a prophylaxis. SUCCESSFULLY.

Go listen to them.

Then compare what they say to those who are trying to smear their good name, which are all PROGDA.

Posted by: Fritz at July 28, 2020 10:16 PM (PBghA)

Joe Rogan, like Glenn Beck and Dave Rubin and a number of other people who are good at media, are unfortunately mid-wits. Not dumb, just limited in outlook and breadth of information.
This is an industry where Dennis Miller is considered to be a towering intellect, after all.

Some of them are honest enough to admit it, and wise enough to check things. They are real good at feelz, though, and I think that tends to lead them astray.
In a way I wonder if the ones in Recovery get a better angle on that.

309 "It is an outright lie and propaganda coming from the media that hydroxychloroquine is a dangerous drug. How could a drug given to lupus patients twice a day for years with no major issues all of a sudden be dangerous to take twice a day for 5 days?

If you listen to who is speaking out against this, they fall into three categories:

1. those who aren't primary care physicians and have never even treated patients with Covid (such as Sanjay Gupta, a neurosurgeon),

2. those who are choosing their political ideology over human life and know there is way more money to be made creating more expensive drugs and vaccines, and

3. far left democrats who are opportunistic and see this as their chance to win the next election. "

314 Mrs IMG, Grandson the Elder, and Son had a nice dinner at our around-the-corner Mexican place.

Son dropped in 15 min after Mrs and I laid down for a nap. He decided he'd help me with the boulder (granite, somewhere north of 3/4 ton) I've taken 3 days to move 20 ft.

The sisters have divvied up the various rocks and stones from the late in-laws. We, living next door, get the really big ones. I had already moved one that was overloading the 800 lb capacity hand truck.

So, Son managed to slide it off the skid I had the rock on and was vainly trying to roll it. Heh. The two of us did get it to roll into place.

Then, we took the truck and chain and moved a pair of foundation stones (2 x 2 x 3 sandstone) 100 ft or so. Those are in a temporary spot until prep work is done.

We were quite tired! He's a good kiddo. Grandson the Elder got some learning done, too.

343 Got some news today.

Our church has been reported to the Health Department. Apparently our mask theater was not convincing enough for some Karen.

I do not know if the reporting person attended in person, watched the service online, or just decided to cause trouble without even being there.

We currently have our congregation spread out over two gathering places with some congregants watching the livestream from home. I think we should decide that we cannot possibly conform as strictly to the mandates as some Karen would demand and we will get reported no matter what we do. Therefore, we should do away with all Covid theater in the main sanctuary. If someone needs to be more careful or feels unsafe, they can go to our auxiliary gathering place where protocols will be in place or participate from home. Then we can see if the sheriff would actually try to keep us from meeting.

Listen again to the first day Americas Frontline Doctors video.

As one person says, the number of new cases is irrelevant.
All that tells us is that we are getting closer and closer to heard immunity.

Like every other virus in human history. We should be cheering at that number.

Only look at the death count. Again, like every other virus in human history.

Oh, and the CDC website has a page describing the successful use of HCQ to fight the SARS virus, about 15 years ago. The doctor said to go read it, as SARS is close to Covid19. And the CDC won't get their website taken down.

389 Sedona: seems like every new resident devotes themselves to a quest to make sure that no one else is ever allowed to move there. At the public meetings, the residents don't speak - their attorneys do. And if they don't like the message, you might need police escort to safely leave town. True story. Some days, the best thing to happen might be to take a D9 with a ripper tooth and cut that town off from the rest of Arizona.

It's called Constructive Possession.

How. Ev. Urrrr.

Sawzall guy has been embroiled in a feud with the garage-owner's fambly since the garage guy croaked.

That feud might be what saves Sawzall guy's hide, as it negates his "neglect" of the Constructive Possession.

The argument will then be as to his relation with the original builder, and if they had any kind of agreement as to the nature of the property encroachment.

If it is established that the Garage Builder knew and agreed to the fact that his use of the land was of On Loan by Grace and Goodwill, then any further claim thereto is piffile.

This is a perfect illustration of Insomniac's assertion that you might not wanna hang all the Lawyers, first.

439 And, big news for those keeping track: I took the engine out of the poor wretched Panhard today. Took me about 3 hours, and really wasn't all that hard. The one dumb thing? You have to take the intake manifold off first, to get the engine out, because it passes behind the clutch housing. The other dumb thing? There is an aluminum spacer ring, about an inch and a half deep, between the engine and the clutch housing proper, that incorporates a mounting bushing for the transmission. That makes withdrawing the unbolted engine a bit of a struggle.

Anyway, I found out why the clutch was slipping like a bastard. The pressure plate was rusty, and the three levers were stuck in the half-released position, so the full spring pressure was never applied to the disc. I took the pressure plate off, and dropped it on the concrete floor, and it went "ga-doing", and popped out to the fully-extended position, as it should. I will lube the pivot points, and it ought to be OK.

The clutch disc isn't worn down to a nubbin, but it sure is thinner than a new one, and has been heated by the slippage. I happened to have an old 36 HP VW Beetle clutch on hand, and the disc is virtually identical, except for the splines in the hub. But it looks like the hub attaches to the spring steel disc web with six rivets on exactly the same spacing that the Panhard clutch uses. I am about 99% certain that I can drill out the rivets from both discs, and swap the Panhard hub into the VW disc, to make a "new" disc for the Panhard. For approximately zero dollars. If there is any slight mis-match, that's what lathes and drill presses are for.

Just to feature that local resident line, I had blogged that item on my somethingsomething blog and marked it satire, but I decided to delete it. Just a fine-line judgment call, y'know? This might have influenced me.

That site needs to be nuked from orbit for that dogshit scam, which isn't "satire".

Now getting to the new story as Goblin Slayer and Priestess are asked to rescue a party from goblins so the title is Goblin Slayer! Goblin's Crown

And then in really fine print we read "He does not let anyone roll the dice."

467 And Muldoon - sort of an Italian campaign story.

Not mine. Reading "The Brigade", about the British Army's Jewish brigade, raised from volunteers in British-controlled Palestine (and a few Brits).

Anyway, they saw a little action up near Bologna right as the war ended, then were based north, near the Austrian border. From which all kinds of amazing goings on were launched, starting with extra-judicial executions of Nazis (me likey), then mass rescue/smuggling of Jewish survivors to Italian ports to embark for Palestine.

The book is OK, but I recommend the documentary to be found, I think, on UToob, about this. Interviews with the actual guys.

They invented a bogus unit acronym for their human smuggling endeavors - TTG. It stood for a Palestinian Jewish slang term, which was an Arabic/Yiddish mash-up, translating as "up your ass". Positively American, them Jews of the Jewish Brigade.

Heh. Thanks! It was "percussive maintenance" of a sort. I was just curious to see what happened, when I dropped it about a foot. I was seated in a chair, and the engine was on a rolling lift platform in front of me, so i couldn't have dropped it more than about a foot and a half. I did not fling it with great force.

I put the 36 HP VW pressure plate on the floor next to the one from the Panhard, and stepped on both, to get a feel for the spring pressure. Result? Too close to call. Since the VW clutch was known to be good, presumably the Panhard one is also. The O.D. of the metal "basket" on the VW pressure plate is scarcely a millimeter bigger than the Panhard one, and the overall design is similar. I could make it work, if I absolutely had to.

483 One last thing before I go, since you mentioned Italy. Dad's journal entry from today in 1944.

July 29,1944
Ace took me to see Cassino and our first battlefront. It was a trip I'll never forget. Cassino and the Monastery are complete ruins. The wonder of it all is how any Germans ever survived such a pounding. On the other hand, considering the commanding view it held, the wonder is that we were ever able to take the place. We flew over Camino and looked down in the valley where our first CP was, ringed in by our battalions. Mauldin's expression of "Here they wuz, and there we wuz", couldn't have been more applicable.
The pink house CP was still intact. Apparently our shelling was its last. Very few people are living in the valley. The mines must be terrific.
I spent the afternoon eating fried chicken and ice cream with Van. Maj Webb is leaving in a few days for the States.

Some tourists from Germany walking in the tide suddenly began to scream, ( in German) an generally lose their shit....of course my roomy and I went to see what the fuss was all about and low and behold...a human head, not long dead, bobbing in the surf. Being medical an all, I scooped said head onto my frisbee and brought it to shore and sent my roomy to call the police.Mayhem ensued and Alameda PD sent everyone on the Island for the event while I sat on the beach with a head on my frisbee. I took off my tank top and tried to cover the head but that did not work out so well. When the city Coroner showed up , she began to try and wrestle her gurney over the the break wall until an officer told her that was not needed. She then went back to her van and brought out a tray....with something akin to a large napkin and then she relieved me of the head from my Frisbee.(I let her take my tank top as well.. got interviewed by the local news crew that night.

I should google that some night to see if it still exists in the video world of yore.

489 I've got to admit. I'm in a dark place right now.

8 years ago tonight, my Daughter committed suicide.

That's something you don't get over.

Now my Son in Denver, her twin, is in the middle of the AntiFa stuff. He's part of the protests in Denver.

I raised them as a single parent. They were on a good track when they left my house, yet somehow, when they went to College, both got lost.

My daughter, because she was a Lesbian, and was convinced that all her problems stemmed from that.

My Son, because the US Navy pretty much screwed him (every company in boot camp, will have ONE person who goes to mast, for something, as an example, its doctrine. He was it, which destroyed any chance of his being successful in the Navy.. including getting sent to commands which suck).

Now, I'm watching the cowardice of the people of this country, decide that the Constitution I swore to defend, that I did really shitty things to defend.

Is moot, if there is a bad flu.

No, I'm not going to do a Whiskey Lullaby.

Not too long back, with my step Mom, who passed in Jan '19.

Those are one set of notes to compare.

The other notes arise from my Old Man's Naval career.

Ranging from the USS Valley Forge, to the USS John Quncy Adams.

And over twenty hulls in the doing.

All of the Submarine Service was Westpac, from the early '60s to the early '70s. Which is all I need here, to say.

So follow the money of who is doing the over blowing ...

Medical companies stand to make millions. Democrats stand to buy votes. News/networks stay relevant.

...And you open the door and you step inside
We're inside our hearts
Now, imagine your pain as a white ball of healing light
That's right, your pain
The pain itself is a white ball of healing light

I don't think so

This is your life
Good to the last drop
Doesn't get any better than this

This is your life
And it's ending one minute at a time.

This isn't a seminar
This isn't a weekend retreat
Where you are now,
You can't even imagine what the bottom will be like

Only after disaster can we be resurrected
It's only after you've lost everything that you are free to do anything

Nothing is static
Everything is evolving
Everything is falling apart

This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
It doesn't get any better than this
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
And it
And its ending one minute at a time

You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake
You are the same decaying organic matter as everything else
We are all a part of the same compost heap
We are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world

You are not your bank account
You are not the clothes you wear
You are not the contents of your wallet
You are not your bowel cancer
You are not your grand latte
You are not the car you drive
You are not your f*cking khakis

You have to give up
You have to give up
You have to realize that someday you will die
Until you know that,
You are useless.

I say let me be never complete
I say may I never be content
I say deliver me from Swedish furniture
I say deliver me from clever art
I say deliver me from clear skin and perfect teeth

I say you have to give up
I say evolve and let the chips fall where they may

This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
Doesn't get any better than this
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
This is your life
And it
And its ending one minute at a time

You have to give up
You have to give up

[I want you to hit me as hard as you can]
[I want you to hit me as hard as you can]

Welcome to Fight Club

She is a perfect example. People who think the root of all problems is x (Catholic church/patriarchy/who cares). But really, are just at step 3 of 10, on their way to serious mental illness. We are seeing a serious outbreak in the AWFL girls. I wonder if people like Sinead were created, with drugs or bad experiences, or it was just in her DNA, which at first created a very creative person, but then was her undoing. She was one of my favorites. But last I read of her, she was suicidal and estranged from her family.

Walked in with a scarf around my neck, no mask. No hassle. Seated, drinks, food, adult conversation at one end, kids being kids at the other end.
Left the nice youngster 40%, as per the Moron Handbook of Social Graces in These Stupid Times.

Yesterday, dropped my critter at Vet, went across the street to the open air farmers' market... no entry without a mask!!

623 Things are pretty much in open revolt against the mask order here. It's about a 50% mix, and those wearing them are getting pretty sloppy about covering the nose and even the mouth. Temps in the 90s and humidity in the 70s and 80s contribute to this. Stores have signs up, none mentioning any enforcement, and they're posted just to keep the lawyer happy. Cops say they will not enforce.

Nevil Shte wrote a novel, set in the far future of 1968, where the UK had devolved into idiots in office.

His solution, shown in Australia, was multiple voting, based on various criteria. Everyone gets one vote. Then you get to add votes for achievements of various types.

I can see that system being gamed by over-controlling Libs. But what if military service gave an extra vote? Well, except the Air Force.

It's so Fucking dumb You know maybe you could argue that when you're checking out you should wear one but they already have put up the dumb barrier. You're walking by people. You're not in close constant proximity with them. If viral transmission worked like this then the country would shut down every winter as 90% of the population gets knocked out with the flu.

I've argued with my aunt about this and she keeps using doctors in surgery dentists and working with people with a respiratory infection. But those are cases of being directly over a mouth or sliced open body or you know, close proximity to someone infected. Not everyday normal behavior.

692 Oh yeah. #2 son got a kitten that a friend found yesterday Looks to be 5-6 weeks old. Croaks like a frog. I said he should name it "Froggy".

Hell yeah, croakymeow kittens. They're funny when they're all assertive, demanding to be acknowledged and croaking around like they own the place. Hey dude, I know you have very important opinions, but it's hard to take you seriously when you look like a fuzzy potato with a tail.

695 It's probably been mentioned but Hoft has a funny story about a grandmother who bought a protective vest for a rioter /grandson and was stupid enough to review it online. A nice picture included! That family must be in turmoil now. LOLGF granny

696 I'll just get the news from JJ today. Sundown Channel has a 12 hour Criminal Minds marathon on now, and I'll just leave the tv there. Far fewer crazy people than on the news. Crazy serial killer who save victims toes, or US Congressman, you be the judge.

697 I've had pretty good luck not wearing a mask where I am currently: I've been on vacation the last few weeks and not only have the businesses imposed the masks but the communities had also by ordinance. All masks, all the time, outside, inside, singly or in groups - doesn't matter. Signs everywhere.

But, no one has challenged me - not once. I am one of the few sans mask but other folks have been pleasant. Not one Karen.

I've been coming to these spots for over ten years and the number of visitors is down drastically - even though the town fathers claim the numbers of vacationers is near normal. Nope. Empty parking lots at attractions and the beach and no lines at restaurants.

Maybe that is why I get no pushback. Dunno.

700 Some good news

701 Yeah, I suppose the next thing will be, that mask you are wearing is no good and you need to get this other kind of mask! It's always going to be something. Some people just want to be bossy and hear themselves talk.

702 The way my hair looks lately I could just look at someone admonishing me about no mask and say (with a crazed look in my eyes) "It's an invisible mask baby" and they would probably leave me alone.

704 That's not my style. I go for specific things and then grab other things that catch my attention. Mrs f'd says she likes for me to do the shopping because she never knows what I might come home with.

I have openly wondered how that effects the bottom line of a number of stores.

Merchandising 101 is the reason for endcap and checkout counter product placement; where and how many facings on shelves used to matter; the whole use of packaging to lure you to buy Jiff over Skippy; the discovery of a new product or flavoring.

So customers like you without any sales resistance would grab crap that you likely would not order when sitting at home.

Then there is the ability to have a running total on your digital shopping cart which then makes it far more easier to pull things out or to substitute.

More important is that you won't get more than you order but likely will get less. For example, you might decide to grill hotdogs on the weekend and order the components for that only to discover they were out of the brand of hotdogs you ordered, so the picker doesn't fulfill it and now you have buns that likely will go stale.

That is one of the blessings of CoViD. Some other person is wandering among the damned gathering up stuff while I can do other things. I can do price comparisons on-line and only get those things I ought to get rather than impulse purchases.

It also helps to be more strategic in shopping, when, where and what kinds of items.

Overall, its a MUCH better experience, and will only get better as the on-line UX apps and back-end services evolve to compete with other on-line retailers.

705 611 Morning', Horde.
What's going on?!

Had a meal @ a restaurant Sun after Little's ballgame.
Civilized.

*twitches*

Someone could ask Joe Biden these!
I don't think no. 6--who is on the $10 bill?--is as vital to know as the others.
