Specifically, during an FBI five-year routine counterintelligence polygraph examination, [the FBI analyst] showed indications of countermeasures during the polygraph which led the examiner to conduct a post-polygraph interview." "During the interview, [name redacted] admitted to viewing and downloading CP of girls ranging in age between 9 and 17 while searching the internet," states the synopsis. "Specifically, [the FBI analyst] admitted to searching on pornographic sites, and "undoubtedly" viewed CP [child pornography]." "[The FBI analyst] stated that he preferred pornography depicting young females age 15-17, he then changed his preference during subsequent questioning, to females as young as 12 years old, and finally admitted to preferring females as young as 9 years old and just starting to show signs of maturation," reads the synopsis.Fired -- but not prosecuted. I'm not sure they've got the actual child porn. I guess just because they found pictures of very young looking girls, they can't prove the girls are underage. So... lack of proof of intent spares the FBI again.

Just apply all the facts in that case to some average guy. What happens to him? How closely did they look at his computer, how hard did they work at it? Did they browse through it, or run it through the super forensics machine to check through deleted files?

The rule is supposed to be half your age +7 as minimum age to date or have a relationship with but... as time goes on that window narrows for me rather than widens. The worldview differences, the understanding of the world is too great a gulf.

It was not rumors. There were numerous articles written about the fib and child pron. They were the largest supplier of it in the World back in the 90s.
In fact they busted two large dark web sites and took them over for the better part of a decade and busted people using credit cards to download cp on those sites.
99.99% of people caught up in that pleaded out. Extremely few went to trial and from what I recall they got off because of entrapment issues.

I know a guy who spent a year in federal prison for child pornography and has massive restrictions on his life for 5 years after, plus the life long sex offender label.
Saying these are hard to prosecute is not really true, IMO.

I know a guy who spent a year in federal prison for child pornography and has massive restrictions on his life for 5 years after, plus the life long sex offender label.
Saying these are hard to prosecute is not really true, IMO.
Someone is getting off because they are connected. If they weren't anyone, they would be going to jail.

I can shed some light on this. I worked a CP case on the federal side. Only discovered this dude because he was grooming a young girl online and parents got wind of it.
We knabbed him on CP charges because when we analyzed his laptop it had a trove of CP images and movies. Key was proving the images were real and could be traced back to the National Center for Missing and Exploited kids.
He got ten years in the Fed pen and 20 years supervised release.
It's really a horrendous thing to have to investigate.
Anyway, having read the OIG report excerpts listed above, dude got off (bad pun) because they didn't find actual images of CP. And therein lies the catch. He got canned, which is fine, but as i read it, he was trolling porno sites he used a google search for. Many of these mopes that are dealing and viewing actual CP are on the dark web or online forums or boards. You aren't going to run into this shit surfing the web- you gotta look for it.

As I said in the prior thread, it's really difficult to prosecute these cases. There needs to be proof, and that's not easy to get. Most of the models are unknown, and the global standard (right or wrong) is, any development means they can't "assume" the model is underage.

(And now a FBI bigshot has access to kiddie porn what with that database there . . .)
There are, of course, other methods not least of which is that in some, there is no question that kid is nowhere near the age of consent. I would venture to say that I have seen more kiddie porn than anyone else on this forum (although one pervert being here could prove me wrong). I've seen things that would gag a maggot but that perverts get off on. It has affected me. I don't know if it's second hand post traumatic stress disorder or what but I am haunted.

I've prosecuted many such cases. Although difficult, there are two methods for establishing the age of the kids. 1) The FBI maintains a huge database of kiddie porn that has been traced to individual kids. If the defendant's porn is there, you can get date of birth, date of photo etc. 2) Numerous experts will testify as to age based upon secondary sexual characteristics. Neither method is foolproof. (And now a FBI bigshot has access to kiddie porn what with that database there . . .)
There are, of course, other methods not least of which is that in some, there is no question that kid is nowhere near the age of consent. I would venture to say that I have seen more kiddie porn than anyone else on this forum (although one pervert being here could prove me wrong). I do think that the mere browsing of internet images that are illegal is much less likely to get you busted than storing them or especially trading or hosting them. I think its law in Oregon that its legal to see something online, but not to store it deliberately on your computer (That is you browse past an image of something, move on, rather than download it).

What's his connection to Clinton, Obama the Coup plotters? There should be proof on a computer (even a cloud computer) somewhere of the agent downloading child pornography. The only defense is the pedo was authorized to download as part of the pedo's job. Then it's just admitting to wanking without any corroboration, but this is speculation. I'm not sure how you prosecute for viewing something but not having a copy of it. Prosecutors love pictures (purely for evidence of course.) They can prosecute an unlimited number of cases for the same old pictures.
If just viewing leads to prosecution with no copies as evidence, imagine a hacker taking over the Superbowl half time show. Half the audience would just assume its just the continued moral decline of the NFL. Half the country goes to prison.

That's at least better than NJ. In the last few years there were at least 2 instances of employees of the state (i think in unemployment) who were caught with child porn on their work computers, and they were allowed to retire with full benefits. There was another who is still working because he claims a disability, despite being found with child porn and being arrested for whacking it on a bus.
