Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Happy TGIF - Open ThreadA woman claims to make $200 a day by selling positive pregnancy tests on Craigslist. The Florida woman said she sells the tests to help pay for her college tuition. The woman, who wanted to remain anonymous, says she got the idea while searching for jobs to do while pregnant. “$200 in a day off, something I have to do no matter what,” she told WJAX-TV. “Me being in college working on a bachelor’s and needing all this money to pay for a degree, this was a no-brainer.” Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Between June 19 and July 5 the wife and I visited 21 states. The variation in coronavirus protocol was astounding. Rules even varied within states. In Yakima WA a mask was required to order in a drive through. Buc-ees in Baytown TX was wide open. Only 15% were wearing masks. No pens in most hotel room. Only one hotel had a hot breakfast although all had coffee. But in Abilene you could not get your own coffee. The desk clerk had to get it for you. We and everyone we visited along the way are still healthy.

By January 2017, the lead analyst had ample evidence the dossier was bogus. Auten could not get sources who provided information to Steele to support the dossier's allegations during interviews. And collections from the wiretaps of Trump aide Carter Page failed to reveal any confirmation of the claims. Auten even came across exculpatory evidence indicating Page was not the Russian asset the dossier alleged, but was in fact a CIA asset helping the U.S. spy on Moscow.
Nonetheless, he and the FBI continued to use the Steele material as a basis for renewing their FISA monitoring of Page, who was never charged with a crime. Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at July 10, 2020 08:52 PM (dNzKv) 227

The past two years have really sucked hind tit. Dad died in Aug. 18 after battling cancer, youngest daughter dies suddenly in Feb. 19 of severe asthma attack. 45 year family friend and mentor died in April 19 of a sudden heart attack. June 19 a small pinhole in the copper tubing for the swamp cooler caved in the guest room ceiling. They found asbestos. Not fully cleaned up until August. Then just as things were calm, 2020 comes along. And last weekend I bruised my ribs which is affecting my back.

I think that's true. I also think Mueller didn't know anything about anything considering his performance in front of Congress. Made statements that were the opposite of what was concluded. Didn't know the most basic, central facts of the "investigation". He was an elder statesman figurehead to lend gravitas to an ongoing coup and could be counted upon to look the other way on criminality because that had been a selective MO when he was more competent. He was a bad seed. He also exhibited signs of a demented one. Posted by: AnonyBotymousDrivel at July 10, 2020 09:08 PM (HhXSr) 296

Posted by: Blanco Basura - moronhorde.com lives again at July 10, 2020 08:52 PM (SchxB) My concept was tell me the specific name of my ancestor that you claim enslaved your ancestor. Then show me your genealogical research that proves you are indeed related to that claimed ancestor. Then I will show you my genealogical research that traces my lineage to that named "ancestor" and history of mine, and then, and only then, if everything matches, will I offer you (specifically you) a prorated share of 40 acres and a mule! A weird thing: Next weekend I am taking my 4th road trip, to Utah to see my son. In the past couple of months I've been to Utah, Montana and the Rifle/Meeker area of CO. And in all those places, masks are either rare or non-existent.
it was when we went to Utah that we were finally able to eat at a restaurant. I almost cried as I ate my pancakes and two eggs over easy with bacon. I hate all of this. My office had a BBQ this afternoon, and I ducked out. Masks, signs telling you to sanitize before putting your booger hooks in the beer cooler, or prepping your burger. the part that pisses me off so badly, is that nobody else is pissed off about all this. I have adopted the "hunker down, do my job, say little, and leave" method of office life. Posted by: Pug Mahon, what likes stuff at July 10, 2020 09:27 PM (x8Wzq) 379

The latest sunspot is a different polarity that previous sunspots. This means we are past the solar minimum, and heading to a solar max. All part of the natural 11 year solar cycle. Humidity....
On Tuesday afternoon at 12 UTC on June 20, 2017, the temperature at Safi-Abad Dezful, Iran hit 115.7°F (46.5°C) with a -27.8°F (-33.2°C) dewpoint, giving this city of 420,000 in western Iran a ridiculously low relative humidity of 0.36%. At that level of atmospheric moisture, the temperature would have had to plunge 143°F (80°C) in order for the moisture to condense out and form ground-level clouds Posted by: Martini Farmer at July 10, 2020 10:08 PM (3H9h1) 548

Great food at Shooter's. One of the male servers was strapped, as were two of the young ladies. Wonderfully friendly folks. Just added to our desire to move to sane part of Colorado.

Posted by: Trusted Mechanic Miklos at July 10, 2020 09:50 PM (QzkSJ) Heh. I was in a tool store yesterday, and they had a photo by the till of a mama wrench feeding her offspring. It was a pair of Vise Grips with a nut clamped in the tip of the jaws, hanging over two small open-end wrenches stuck in the ground. And it really did look like a mama bird feeding her chicks. Hi Mike Hammer, how are you? What did you do today?
Posted by: ALH --------- Sorry, was fixing dinner. Today was a day of epic non-achievement. Walked dog, coffee with the geezers this afternoon, nap. Did a brief bit of shopping. Milled a small aluminum fixture for a miniature heater that I'm making. Spend some time cursing a Snapper leaf-blower. Posted by: Mike Hammer, etc., etc. at July 10, 2020 10:21 PM (CTJwJ) 563

I just had a bad idea. If they want reparations make them prove your ancestor owned slaves. Gets your genealogical research done for free. Posted by: Commissar Hrothgar -YOU are all in this together!- at July 10, 2020 09:22 PM (eTZoJ) To be completely politically incorrect, the 40 acres and a mule should be offset by the benefit of living here in the USA instead of West Africa. If your great-great-great granddaddy had not owned his great-great-great granddaddy, he would be living in Ghana today. He owes you. I'm telling you all this now: the best thing that could happen would be for the D.C. Circuit to grant en banc review and send it back down, forcing Flynn to make Durham's prosecutions his defense-in-chief -- he was railroaded; evidence forged; impossibility of defending against forged evidence (this is THE single question you ask someone: what would you do? Right?); and, of course, the "why's?" and "what for's?" Flynn gets to call witnesses -- the same witnesses the Government's going to call when Durham's asking the questions. They could even pattern some of the question to stage an easy perjury trap. Durham gets a complete preview and the action's so hot, Vegas is taking side bets on potential Arkancide victims. I bet you some of those odds are pretty surprising. Flynn can survive. It's not like he's at the Hanoi Hilton. For all his flaws (and we're talking x10 to the double-decimal power), I've never heard anyone suggest that the movie "Capricorn One" was an allusion to McCain's captivity. Besides, Flynn gets a preview for his civil suits.
