A video message is going viral in evangelical circles - i believe its gotten over a million views in just 3 or 4 days, and is spreading. I was sent it by people who *never* do the internet or social media.
I don't and won't vouch for everything in this; it's disturbing, and some elements I flat out disagree with. But the real evangelicals (the people fake Christians like David French hate most of all) are so far out of the mainstream that mainstream people never have any clue what they are thinking and talking to each other about. I put it here for those who. at a minimum, would like to know where a lot of the movement is today.
No one in the mainstream will ever see this, unless it is to scoff. 16 minutes long, the pastor is just a nobody from nowhere. I just wish I could get what he says out of my mind.

You have one of those too? Been more or less lucky this year just having to move and stack 3 full cords of fire wood, hand dig, plant and tend the garden plus normal other maintenance. A year ago I was handed a real chore list from heck in January. Honestly did not sit down to relax until late August. Only thing that got me through it was wifey had planned to go to central Asia this summer to visit one of our kids (I refuse to go) and I was looking forward to 2 weeks of blessed peace. Chinese bat soup lung flu has killed those plans and I am very much less than pleased.

I had strip the paint and refinish the stair balusters. Strip wall paper off the walls of her office, patch and repaint. Sand and repaint all of her kitchen cabinets plus build and install six new drawers. Sand and refinish all the second floor wood floors (convinced her to hire that one out). Reset and level a concrete stoop that weighed approximately 800 pounds. Remove 56 feet of rotted trim work along the seconf floor eaves and replace with PVC trim. Finally walk daughter the youngest down the aisle in August.

Depends on state law, as to what powers the legislature has granted and if the executive followed such laws. Now, if you get down to the nitty gritty, there appears to be no solid scientific backing that says masks are effective at reducing spread of C-19. And there is ample evidence to suspect that masks cause other problems. Read the link below.
So theoretically, you could take a case to court and win. How many people have the time or money. Things like Matthew 6:23-34 would seem to make a great basis for a lecture series.
If you want a grim message that is relevant for today then skip over to chapter 10 and preach 16-23 (but honestly the Clergy don't believe those passages either).

I have a problem with prosperity preachers and I have never given messages on God giving you a new car, job or lay. The message for tomorrow is chapter 5 of Galatians which is quite clear on the nature of sin without submission to the Holy Spirit.
I think that the men who find the church meaningless and useless should start their own home study groups/home churches if they haven't already, but I don't think us becoming like Islam to attract more men is the answer.
