CHOP Shop: Sixteen Year Old Dead, Fourteen Year Old Injured After Plowing Vehicle Into CHOP
They charged into CHOP and began shooting. But the CHOP Zone Vigilance Committee started shooting them up, killing a sixteen year old.
At least, that's what the people who shot up the car are claiming.The Post-Millennial reports that the "man" who died was 16. Notice the left rushes to age him up, because he was killed by their antifa/BLM insurrectionist allies. If he'd murdered someone, he'd be called a "gentle teen." I don't suppose his life will wind up Mattering at all.
One man has been killed and a teenager wounded following a gun battle inside Seattle's CHOP zone after those inside the protest zone claim the two men plowed through and started shooting before armed protesters returned fire. Police said they are investigating the shooting that unfolded just before dawn on Monday in the city's Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) zone. One of the wounded men was brought to the Harborview Medical Center at about 3.15am in a private vehicle before the second man was brought in about 15 minutes later by Seattle Fire Department medics. The man brought in by medics died several hours later and the other remains in a critical condition. One of the victims had gunshot wounds to his hip, arm and temple. The man and teenager have not been publicly identified.
Protesters claim the gun battle unfolded after the two men plowed their white Jeep Cherokee into the CHOP zone before opening fire on those inside the area. Those inside the zone say self-appointed security guards, who are heavily armed, then returned fire.Two observations: 1. Isn't it great we don't have police in CHOP? No police, no shootings! 2. If only all governments were controlled by women, as Seattle's is, we'd have no crime, no hate, and no killings.

I have a fairly pedestrian guess. Since CHAZ/CHOP is effectively a gangster state filled with criminals, it would surprise me not at all if these two were there to handle a drug or cash transaction of some kind and it went completely sideways. If I'm a decent distance back from the car, center of mass means some of my shots go through the car door. If I'm standing next to the car when I start shooting, everything goes through the window.

having issues with my youngest daughter. A very sudden change in the

I would agree with Joe Mannix. Waiting is not likely to help. Cutting her off from social media (even if you have to take away her phone and computer) will give her time to decompress. After that, an actual history lesson that emphasizes that while Jim Crow laws were wrong, they were done away with at least 60 years ago and that black people have had the same rights and chances to make it in the world as white people might be helpful.

What Ngo does is retweet their videos, with full attribution (you can just click to go the Twitter account of the filmer), but they think that they should have the right to stop Ngo from retweeting their stuff. They have no problems when Antifa accounts retweet their stuff, of course.
All these filmmakers have mastered the technique of continuously filming the demonstrations - when the police do something aggressive, they quickly edit the videos to start when the police aggression starts, so you don't get to see what was happening a minute or two prior, when people were hurling stuff at the cops.
One night early in the riots, the Portland police stationed a videographer behind the police line to capture how much stuff was being thrown at the cops. I'm not sure why they stopped doing that.

This makes sense. The insurance companies do *not* want to go broke and they use their (no joke) genius actuaries to help make sure they don't. These people - the actuaries - do applied multi-dimensional statistics for a living.
Outside of the purely medical side of things (treatments, vaccines, etc.), outsourcing epidemiology modeling (hospital capacity, spike management, outcome prediction, etc.) to actuaries would probably be wildly better than what we have now.

I doubt Trump'll walk, but I couldn't blame him if he did. The government has made it plainly clear that they will not permit him to be President, whether he's nominally elected or not.

I have used that book a lot, and have internalized most of it over the years. I have an adult daughter who's suffered from various levels of mental illness over the years, and there have been times when I've had to shut off communication completely for a time, because of Boundaries. She's doing better now, has actually improved quite a bit - that's a long story.
I note that while the situations are similar, it's actually more honest to deal with mental illness than to deal with political illness. People who think they're right and justified have no incentive to change.

Yep. And universities, too. If the latter are smart - which they're not - they'd ramp up cheap online courses, dial back tuition a bit, but not as much as their costs will decrease, and sell off/lease out their unneeded facilities to a subsidiary for, e.g., conference centers.

I do not know the age of your daughter, but if she is a teenager displaying a sudden change in personality/behavior, I would suspect drug use and/or a new addition/s to her peer group. Also, flucuating hormones can wreak havoc on the brains of teenage young women.
And, yes, males and females DIFFER due to the hormones that wash over their brains (never, ever, ever, never tell a woman of any age that their behavior is hormone related...especially one who carries a shiv in her knee-hi nylons).
But I digress.
I am sure you have thought of these things.
My money would be on all of the above with emphasis on a new addition/s to her peer group, either in meat space or on the web. After a child hits 15 or 16 the parents have almost no influence on their chosen behavior. You have better have ingrained the values they need by then, because by that age their peer group is their biggest influence. Encouraging associations with "good" peers is vital in helping them make good decisions down the road.

Most of what you said is a reasonable strategy,, but here's the thing: Donald Trump is the President, and has many more options than Andrew Breibart ever possessed.
For example, ever wonder what happened to Lore-Elizabeth Blumenthal? Do you think her GoFundme succeeded? I went back and checked: it's been frozen and they'll have to refund the donations. Now, is that because GoFundme became super based? Or because the DOJ went over and quietly suggested they could be brought up on charges of financing terrorism? I'm not 100% sure myself, but I am sure that Blumenthal is terrified of facing serious blowback for the first time in her spoiled little life.
Donald Trump is playing for all the marbles, and while PR is nice it also has no direct impact the way DOJ action would. The President is still on Stage 1 of the ISIS playbook: make the situation worse until the world begs you to intervene. But don't ever imagine that he's not laying groundwork to deal with the national insurrection on a kinetic level. He very clearly is prepping for something much bigger than a media cycle.

Other than maybe the decision to treat possession and distribution of crack differently that powder cocaine, the tough on crime stance was and is the correct one. Society is safer when criminals are in prison.
I can tell you from years of working with public safety data, criminals (well human beings in general) are amazingly good at internalizing changes in risk so that they engage in more of the behaviors when those behaviors are made less risky. Criminals commit more crime when public policy is not to throw their asses in prison for the first crime they commit.

Not true. After shot #1 you have tempered glass shattered in place; Makes it difficult to aim. Also even if you break out the window shards make it difficult to use the window as a rest for shooting.
Crash straight in and shoot from the necessarily buckled in (And therefore helpless) position makes 0 sense.
Not that I'd expect much from a 16yo but I would expect something better than that plan.
We'll see if the 14yo wakes up, and what his story is.

Assuming that there are, say, 100 residents per block plus, say, oh, 500 protesters, that would amount to a population of 1100 people. Let's round that up to 1500 just to be fair.
Two people have been murdered in CHOP in three weeks. Averaging that out to a full year, that would make a little over 17 murders per year in a population of 1500 persons.
Chicago has a population of 2.9 million. That number divided by 1500 gives us a factor of 1933 which, multiplied by the 17 deaths per year calculated as the average for CHOP, would give CHOP an annual murder rate, if it were as large as Chicago, of...thirty-two thousand eight hundred and sixty-six murders per annum.
Ya gotta start working harder, Chicago. CHOP is putting your paltry 700 murders per year in the shade.
