Destroying Statues Destroys Everyone's History...Even The Stupid People

If the MLPD is serious, how about a statue of Stalin? Museums and parks throughout Eastern Europe have more than a few available, presumably for sale. And the Chinese Communist Party is still producing Mao idols, before which the Chinese people are expected to genuflect. No doubt, Beijing could spare a couple for the MLPD, perhaps gratis as long as accompanied by a plaque praising the genius and greatness of Chinese President and CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping. Alas, not everyone was happy with the MLPD’s loving gesture for the Bolshevik paragon. The district council in Gelsenkirchen-West passed a resolution in March stating the obvious: “Lenin stands for violence, repression, terrorism and horrific human suffering.” Germany, however, apparently in contrast with America, is a country in which law prevails, property is respected, and mobs are not tolerated. Explained the city council’s spokesman, Martin Schulmann, “only a very few people around the Marxist Party want [the statue], no one else.” But “we have no choice but to accept the court’s rulings, since the piece of land where the statue is due to be installed is privately owned.”Bingo! "Privately owned." Game--Set--Match. As much as I and many other normals are offended by a statue of Lenin, it is first and foremost on private property so none of my damned business. If some knucklehead wants to erect a statue of one of the premier (theoretical but the antecedent of real) mass murders in history, then have at it. There is no accounting for taste. And even more importantly, it is a glimpse into the profound unseriousness of modern Germany. They are existentially flawed. They have no will to protect their culture, and prefer the culture of their masters...Islam and communism. So be it. But leave the statue intact, so future generations might be able to understand a bit about the mindset of the 21st Century German who willingly gave up his culture and his country to the marauding bands of wild-men and savages who were invited into Germany by...Germans! *No, that's not the German statue...this one is in Seattle!

I understand the angst, however, this statue has been in Fremont for 20 plus years. It is considered artsy and quirky, not an homage to Lenin.

This is worth remembering. The statues didn't grow like dandelions, and the BLMers do not own them. When we allow destruction we are negating property rights.

These spoiled brats have never had to work to earn to buy anything. They've had everything handed to them. They have no concept of what it took to create these statues. But I think if we started to say that iPhones are offensive and start to destroy theirs it might sink into their thick skulls about not destroying what isn't theirs.

LOL, we had a 3 day long Mock Political convention our Senior Year.
Had the Audio Visual Club tape it.
It ended when those of us who were supposed to be 'security' did a military coup, and put the Biggest Nerd in School in as El Presidente! Had him walk in wearing Fatigues and a Castro Hat, chomping on a cigar.
I understand in later years they used that tape as what NOT to do during your convention.

Sad to admit, but the following is, to my mind, perfectly true today.
The "Cultural Marxists", won.
The "Long March Through The Institutions", worked.
American Conservatism, to me defined as the guardians of Anglo-American Civilization, was never a political philosophy worthy of the title. Merely "standing athwart history yelling STOP!" is not enough against people who throw multi-year-long riots every time they lose an occasional election or (even more occasionally) a Supreme Court decision - and are more often than not rewarded with more power afterward.
Anglo-American Civilization, and more broadly Western Civilization, needed not only to be defended in the strongest possible terms, but it needed to be advanced and, sadly, those of us who wished for either of these to happen were simply not up to the task.
Sorry folks, I think I'm done here. Will I vote for Trump? Of course I will. I will continue to donate to his campaign, monthly, as I have for the last 2-years. But it really doesn't matter at this point. The West, what little is left of it, will fall and, I assert, must fall. I need to take what little time I have left to do what little I can to try to get away from the blast radius, and that means, first and foremost, getting off any and all blogs and social media.
Please don't take this as a "Goodbye cruel world!" post. I'll lurk, probably at least weekly, but I have no intention of ever posting here or anywhere else again. I don't expect anyone to follow my lead, I gotta do me and you gotta do you.

This sort of thing can be taught young. Older grandson once took the younger one's plastic dinosaur toy to use as a digging device, and broke off the tail. He didn't understand why his brother would be so unhappy about "that stupid toy". I insisted that the younger one use one of his toys to dig and of course it was similarly ruined. "Now I understand." It matters if your things are ruined, they are sociopaths with no empathy if they are doing this past the age of 6, IMO

Those with that power have chosen not to use it in that manner - regardless of written law.

I wonder if anyone is going to say the obvious. That this country had a sense of humor back in the 90's and honestly until maybe a couple of years ago, and that's why comedy wasn't a problem then. No other reason. We were all adults and able to laugh at ourselves and get on with the more important things in our lives.
The fact is we were told for 40+ years that comedy and art were unimpeachable modes of free expression and so if someone wanted to dump Jesus in a bucket of piss, Christians had to just sit back and take it. Blacks received no such lectures. Muslims certainly didn't. Nobody did. In fact I believe Christians are the *only* ones who ever did. But that is not being rectified here. We're just accommodating the squeakiest wheel as always.

The "Cultural Marxists", won.
The "Long March Through The Institutions", worked.
American Conservatism, to me defined as the guardians of Anglo-American Civilization, was never a political philosophy worthy of the title. Merely "standing athwart history yelling STOP!" is not enough against people who throw multi-year-long riots every time they lose an occasional election or (even more occasionally) a Supreme Court decision - and are more often than not rewarded with more power afterward.
Anglo-American Civilization, and more broadly Western Civilization, needed not only to be defended in the strongest possible terms, but it needed to be advanced and, sadly, those of us who wished for either of these to happen were simply not up to the task.
Sorry folks, I think I'm done here. Will I vote for Trump? Of course I will. I will continue to donate to his campaign, monthly, as I have for the last 2-years. But it really doesn't matter at this point. The West, what little is left of it, will fall and, I assert, must fall. I need to take what little time I have left to do what little I can to try to get away from the blast radius, and that means, first and foremost, getting off any and all blogs and social media.
Please don't take this as a "Goodbye cruel world!" post. I'll lurk, probably at least weekly, but I have no intention of ever posting here or anywhere else again. I don't expect anyone to follow my lead, I gotta do me and you gotta do you.

What broken my heart further was how many people on this very blog bought into the meme book, line, and sinker.
I see no effort, none, to break this assault on freedom. I know it's easy to sit in a comfortable house and post grievances on a blog, but, to date, I see none of the grand pushback that so many have predicting for years.
The only thing I can do is refuse to participate in the political game the left pushed upon us. I do not wear a mask, I go where I wish, I say what what I want to say. And if they come for me for those things, I will meet them on MY property with all the violence I am capable of giving them.
I will probably die alone and be ridiculed for standing against the state, but I will die while defending freedom as it means to me.

Yes, they could move, but why should they have to? I think the problem can be attacked at multiple levels. Arresting the street level goons is the purview of local law enforcement and government, although they're clearly failing. That's when the Feds should step in, a la the Brown school integration troops. However, these are also clearly interstate conspiracies, and as such, the Feds can and should find the leaders and spool up the helicopters.
Politically speaking, Trump is doing the smart thing, but that isn't necessarily what he should be doing to protect American citizen's rights.

I think the problem can be attacked at multiple levels. Arresting the street level goons is the purview of local law enforcement and government, although they're clearly failing. That's when the Feds should step in, a la the Brown school integration troops. However, these are also clearly interstate conspiracies, and as such, the Feds can and should find the leaders and spool up the helicopters.
Politically speaking, Trump is doing the smart thing, but that isn't necessarily what he should be doing to protect American citizen's rights.

It can be done, but we need to be more serious and organized about this. Our country is a sea of red with lakes of blue, so it's viable. For example, why should we secede ALL of Colorado? Keep the red counties and let the left have Denver. We'll continue to have the best parts of America while the left keep the shitholes they turned their cities into.

I've challenged my buddies to this intellectual exercise several times. After all, easier to make the cities toe the line than succession. The reality is it is difficulty to block every roan in and out of a city, but select the top ten or so key intersection and you can jam it up so badly that it will basically come to a standstill.
After that, its about crowd control.

Talking of desecrating sacred monuments, here's a joke on the subject (sort of) to lighten the mood.
Two wives go out on the town for a girls night out.
They both get righteously drunk, so drunk that they can't get a taxi cab or Uber to take them home.
Since they don't live very far away they decide to walk home instead.
Halfway through their unsteady staggering one of the women says,
"Hold on, I think I'm going to wet myself, I desperately need to pee."
The other replies,
"Me too but we can't go here in the street."
The first one says,
"I know, there's the cemetery round the corner. I know for a fact that they don't bother locking the side gate. We can go in there and no one will see us at this time of night."
So off they totter to the cemetery side gate.
Sure enough it's unlocked and they go into the graveyard to relieve themselves.

Hell, we get traffic snarls when someone gets pulled over by the CHP. Think about all those trucks delivering necessities, sitting in the parking lot that used to be a major freeway.

What if the left is planning to flood precincts with last minute mail in ballots. Plus you can only try and do one major City at a time, that would give the others a hint of what was coming.

I have an idea. We put everyone in pods and use them as bio-batteries to run a massive network of machines. The people wouldn't know it because they are all living life vicariously through a life-like computer simulation where everything is perfect.

I am planning on moving, Atlanta is just going to be too crazy in coming years and there are almost no decent schools here for my kids, unless you can afford $20-25K each. Have a couple places picked out but job market sucks right now. Think of doing it anyway without an offer.

Out for a morning walk along the harbor of a nearby town. In addition to there being a lot of friendly, happy people (online world is so much darker and depressing), but there were a bunch of middle-aged guys having an informal get together (set up camp chairs, cold beverages) around one of the prominent memorial statues there (a non-political one related to fishing industry). Think they were classic car enthusiasts, as the street was lined with classic cars. Fun! If the scheduled even was cancelled, they were having their own.
Wasn't until I was driving home that it occurred to me that that memorial might (will?) be targeted for destruction by the idiot mob. An idiot has already vandalized Plymouth rock and nearby monuments (this was right before the shutdown). UGH

Our historical trajectory at this time makes a future civil war a strong possibility. Perhaps a probability, even. To dismiss it as a possibility at all, is to deny the social fracturing you witness every day. I have often fantasized about having enough money to buy a small cabin in the wilderness up in the mountains for a get-away when/if it all goes to shit. But you would have to leave very early in the event to get there and be ready to defend it with deadly force. The real secret is the 30-30 rule. Never live within 30 miles of a city larger than 30 thousand people.

A bit time capsuled, that. But it's core essays about what makes America AMERICA, remain some of the finest ever put to page.
I am a relentless proponent of our cause, and I see victories from the ranks of the unware, uniformed and undecided. Or at most, from the only "marginally blue".
The cure for the hard core ones will mean that all boundaries have been exceeded, and that there are no more restrictions nor penalties.
Open Season, no Bag Limits.
Otherwise? I'll just keep on dispensing Red Pills, far and wide as I'm able.
