We had to cancel our Florida rental for our April stay because of the flu.
We moved it to August because that was the only month we had at the time, or we lost our money. I thought Florida was open, but in this area they are limiting the people coming in for less than 30 day rentals, which is us. One of the restrictions is on people coming in from "hot spots" per the CDC meaning over 700 cases per 100,000. Of course because of Chicago, Illinois is a hot spot. We'll see what happens in a month. Maybe we could move it to November Posted by: Bruce at May 23, 2020 06:37 AM (vd8XM) 15

Ok going to do a personal gripe. Do they not teach doctors to not call on a Friday night and if they do not talk to you, don't leave a voicemail? Second time this has happened to me. First time I get, Mrs. NEC we have an issue with your mammogram, call us when the office is open. You leave that message on a Friday night after office hours!
I'm waiting on a biopsy. Doc calls at 6:23 to tell me that my results are in. Leaves a message, call the office and we can discuss. Call within 5 minutes of missing the call. Get the emergency switchboard. Since it's not life threatening they will not contact him. I know it's not life threatening. Now I have to wait until Tuesday morning. Should I have been hanging by the phone? Results were supposed to take 48 to 72 hours. He called in 36. Jeebus. That's what I get for going to a cookout on a Friday night. At some point we have to admit to ourselves we are all a bunch of whimpering pussies.
We have become soft and weak as a society expecting a touch of the smartphone to bring us happiness, a fuckbuddy, or a latte. There is no toughness in todays society. Everyone is harmed by other words or thoughts, much less their deeds. No one really wants to risk being a real friend. Someone that will listen to you bad news and try to help you deal with it. But more importantly, neither will anyone listen to your good news and celebrate, it is way too easy to drop in a comment that trivializes the good news or makes it irrelevant. The entire Progressive platform is: 1) envy, 2) hate, 3) police force, and 4) fear. Fear is a main driver of both the leaders and follower of progressivism. The leaders fear the follower will see that they can walk off the plantation at any time. The follower fear walking off the plantation will be too risky. But we'll be ready for the second wave
This supports my long standing theory that the Plannedemic was supposed to be released in the early Fall where it could combine with the regular Flu season and have a greater yield of deaths and misery. The missing piece to the puzzle was why the Democratic-Communists were initially playing this down in the first quarter. It breaks down to this. They either Knew or Didn't Know. If the former, then playing it down was a sinister move advocating actions that would infect and kill more people. If the latter, then those same urgings were predicated on the usual Whatever Trump Says Is Wrong And Must Be Contradicted. The bug spread during the Impeachment, when it should have been the Plan B if/when the Impeachment failed. The Democrat/Communists weren't yet briefed on the Fauchi/WHO/China/Gates plan because Loose Lips Sink Ships. Why all other developed nations are also falling for this is because, again, it was released too early and they are mirroring the panic response that China had and the Western Enemedia played up as a demonic Armageddon because the Enemeida wasn't informed early enough about The Play. Basically, they are just innocent bystanders that got caught in the political cross-fire. The major reason for why the House hasn't met in months is because they are trying to do their homework on writing up the official Bolshevick Articles that would effectively convert the former United States into a Communist China satellite - much like Hong Kong. I submit the bug was released too early, probably by accident, and for that reason, there was no unified and prepared response by the Washington Democrat/Communists. The "Second Wave" is a panicked and poorly thought-out excuse to keep the markets in turmoil and try to reset the clock back to the original timing which was supposed to have maximum effect in November. This is why there is so much disorganization now, because some governors are still on the Lets-Drag-This-Out calendar. They didn't expect the courts to stomp on this plan so quickly. They did expect that Big Tech would snuff out any dissent, and for the most part we are seeing Big Tech's unprepared response - they too are scrambling because of the too early release. So it should be heartening that this Plannedemic is a Shit Show in terms of the so-called well made plans falling apart because of the lack of coordination. Thank the courts, but mostly thank God that their Plannedemic was mistimed. Based on this template, predictions of what they will do next should be child's play. If Flynn wasn't masked then it means they were directly spying on Flynn without a warrant, which makes it worse. Many necks need to be stretched. Tick Tock AG Barr, Tick Tock Posted by: Thomas Bender at May 23, 2020 07:46 AM (T+XCu) ~~~~~ I emailed the following to Ace the other day: This shocked me, and the only one I've see mention is Julie Kelly (last night on Twitter.) From what she tweets, the "whole Kislyak-Flynn call was a setup," from start to finish. It certainly looks like the 11th hour sanctions Obama put on the Russians was the first step. Then they got Kislyak to contact Flynn a number of times, trying to elicit some Logan Act (they were that desperate) violation. Kislyak was more than likely a willing participant in this. Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2 This whole Kislyak-Flynn call was a set-up. Kislyak tries to call Flynn the day BEFORE sanctions are formally announced, Flynn calls Kislyak back from out of town on December 29 to discuss not escalating tensions... Then Kislyak (an Obama White House pal) calls Flynn back to confirm Russia won't escalate situation per his request. I mean, COME ON. Also, from the comments: "I guess we know now why the sanctions were imposed then. When this all began I remember some head scratching over that since Obama had one foot out the door. Now it appears they were part of the setup." This seemed pretty big to me. Posted by: IrishEi at May 23, 2020 08:15 AM (sGotD) 213

Gretchen Whitmer is the queen of #two weeks. As soon as you think you're gonna get out, she extends your sentence another half month. Posted by: Les Kinetic at May 23, 2020 07:05 AM Her first emergency stay-at-home order was to expire on 04/13/20. She then stated she wanted a 70-day extension that would have taken the order to 06/22/20. Michigan legislature agreed to 23-day extension through 04/30/20 instead. One week before that was to expire, she extended without legislative approval to 05/15/20. One week before that was to expire, she extended without legislative approval to 05/29/20. Now, this past week, one week before that was to expire, she extended without legislative approval to 06/12/20. So she has gotten 60 days of her original requested 70-day extension by piecemeal. 37 days of that without legislative approval. I am sure she will come out the first week of June and extend again until at least June 22. Which would then mean she got the 70-days she originally requested. Ha! Watching Fox in the background this morning, quite amused to see them bring in some Legal Expert to say exactly what I've been saying for 3 days now. (it's extremely obvious)
2 days ago William Roddy Bryant, the man who filmed the shooting of Arbery, was arrested and charged with Felony Murder and Attempted False Imprisonment. He was arrested to guarantee that he "flips" and turns State's Evidence against the McMichaels. All he has to do is say, under oath, that they told him that they said that they intended to track down and hold Arbery, and the McMichael's are doing at least 20 years each. Maybe more. I think I made Branca mad when I told him on his blog that Georgia is setting up one of the most slam-dunk convictions I've ever seen. Arresting Bryant locks that down. The U.S. Justice Department intervened Friday in a lawsuit
challenging Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker's stay-at-home order to stem the spread of the coronavirus. The federal government filed a statement of interest in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis supporting the lawsuit filed by Republican state Rep. Darren Bailey challenging some of Pritzker's actions in response to the pandemic. The department is also challenging the moving of Bailey's lawsuit to federal court and asserts Pritzker is acting in violation of Illinois law. I would love to see Jabba get a public bitch slapping. Those of us who read and comment here are not representative of the public in general either. The vast majority of people are somewhere in between. Sadly, the vast majority are LIVs and their main news resource is still the mass media. There are only a minimal amount of people who regularly get their news from Twitter or blogs. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at May 23, 2020 08:28 AM (Do5/p) Oh, I have no doubt of that. 99.9% of the people I meet and know in real life are nice, easygoing, people who have no idea whats going on outside of their personal lives. And that's not always a bad thing; my wife and her entire group of friends and family have never even heard of this thing called "twitter" for example, and would think it a bizarre waste of time if I tried to explain what it was. Here's a big warehouse. The rest is up to you. Posted by: Moron Robbie - The left tells me Trump has saved 2 million people since January at May 23, 2020 08:51 AM (rKJaX) That's what sets us apart. The facility will be temperature and humidity controlled, monitored and recorded. The air will be filtered and the warehouse spotlessly clean. Every unit will be checked to assure it's complete and operational. If it needs service, it will be sent to factory authorized repair facility and certified when it's returned. All for a very reasonable (for the government) price. Posted by: jwest at May 23, 2020 08:59 AM (mrrpT) 338

The context of Biden's "you ain't black" statement was the black man interviewing him said he needed to come visit.
Biden took the implication "if you want our/my support" That wasn't a joke. Or a gaffe. Or anything other than "fuck you, I don't have to come grovel before you--we own you. Shut the fuck up!" Posted by: RoyalOil at May 23, 2020 08:47 AM (aO8Gd) This is exactly right. It's so weird that after - Slavery - which was run by the Democrat Party Jim Crow Laws - which were enacted by the Democrat Party The KKK - which was the military arm of the Democrat Party Black Lynchings - which were the sole province of the Democrat Party Welfare - which was intended as a re-enslavement of Blacks as Voting Cattle by the Democrat Party. I am therefore going to ignore the whole deal as much as I am able. 2) This is all bullshit. However, I will go along with other people's insanity for now, because God knows what they will come up with if we do not indulge their insanity. 3) There could be some truth to it. The overreaction seems a bit insane to me. 4) I believe it, in fact, we are not going far enough! I need to sanitize my vegetables that I am then going to cut up and cook anyway. Mostly these seem to be the ones who trend toward OCD and hypochondria anyway. This has not helped them in any way. 5) This is bullshit, but I have kids and I hear there is a danger to them. (These are the ones I understand the most.) 6) This is bullshit, but I am getting unemployment and this is like the perfect vacation! The economy can fire up at any time and everything will be fine. Posted by: grammie winger at May 23, 2020 09:03 AM (lwiT4) Your problem is analagous to the problem that Trump, and all of us, have had with dealing with the GOP-e. Our worst enemies are actually located in positions of power, on our own side. It's why there has to be an internal cleansing, an overthrow of all of those in existing positions of power, before anything meaningful can be done. Why do those in power care so little, and act this way? Because they're all just about collecting a nice paycheck and building up a pension. They've got theirs, why do they give a damn about anyone else? This exact kind of thing is why Jesus fought to undermine the Pharisees, and why they hated him enough to want to kill him. "Biden == Emperor Tiberius. Old, addled, perverted, and leaving the
actual management of the State to ruthless cronies and hangers-on." So, the real question is: Who will be Biden's Sejanus? The fighting for that position will be ... interesting. The real question is whether Biden will be picking that person himself, or whether his puppet masters will do the choosing. If we had real journalists in this country, that would be one hell of a juicy story to investigate. As for Biden's place on the presidential intelligence scale, he probably ranks above Lincoln - that is, the post-Booth Lincoln. I'm not sure he ranks above the post-stroke Wilson. Your Holiness I think that story about Adlai is apocryphal-- that some gag writer gave him that after the election for an after dinner speech. Stevenson WAS asked if he believed America would accept a divorced man as President. He said, "If I get the votes of everyone who's been divorced, and everyone who's ever wanted one, I think I should win." (going from memory) I dunno about him being a lightweight, but he was witty, & he was one of the few governors of Illinois who never went to prison. When his car was stopped in Paris at a barricade, because De Gaulle's motorcade was passing by, he supposedly said, "I always seem to be getting in the way of national heroes." Grammie the Michigan legislature is not veto proof. The Republicans sued Whitmer in court and Thurs the judge ruled that Whitmer violated the 1975 emergency powers act but was allowed by the 1945 emergency powers act to do what she is doing. There are two conflicting EP acts on the books. The Rep have filed an appeal. This last judge says this will likely end up in the Michigan SC.

My father was not at a "nursing home" per se, but rather a rehab center, with different rules: no communal activities, but not total isolation ward. He had been four days in the hospital, doctoring for a completely different (minor but hard to kick) infection, no covid symptoms. Rehab facility was "clean" when he went in, but also went on receiving patients for recovery from hospitals, and when they started testing, 8 out of ten patients were positive. Can't say how covid came into the facility, but it is pretty clear that he did not have it when he went there to recover.
So when we got the death certificate (which takes a while), covid was listed as the fourth cause of death. It got our attention because cancer was number one, and he had not had a cancer for close to thirty years. Rather alarmed that we were ignorant of the recurrence, Execu - Trix started calling around, and found out a few things about how cause of death can be reported, to wit: A doctor from a professional ("For pay") hospice organization that had been on the case for one day, who had never met the patient, looked over the medical history from the hospital and made some choices. On harder questioning, a hospice admin nurse admitted that they don't know yet if covid is covered by Medicare. They know that cancer is, so if there is any history of cancer, that goes on the report as cause number one. They have, after consultation with the hospital, submitted a supplemental report, and the bureau of vital statistics will have it right in a couple of weeks. There is awful lying bullshit being committed on both sides of this issue, and I've seen some here that is as bad as any. Nobody has any intention of uncovering "truth." Everybody wants their way, and their pay, and to have their say. Beyond that it's all bumperstickers and prayer lists. Posted by: Way, Way Downriver at May 23, 2020 09:26 AM (8IOEj) 374
