CBS "News" Runs Completely Fake Story They Saw On Social Media Without Bothering to do Any Fact Checking Whatsoever
A nutty "nurse" -- who had actually stopped working as a nurse a year ago due to being "bipolar" and also to pursue some kind of BBW Instagram "model" career -- came back to work for a single day.
Before hand, she said she wasn't sure if she was ready for it, because she was "bipolar" and also "triggered" by just hearing about coronavirus. Sounds to me like someone really enjoyed not working and is preparing a record to justify getting disability insurance. This attention-whoring basketcase then went on to social media and posted video the terrible conditions she allegedly witnessed... you know, for the few hours she was actually at work. She didn't mention her nursing career consisted of a few hours per year. Instead of noting inconsistencies and omissions in her story, CBS "News" just added a dramatic music track and pumped it out to the public.CBS News posted a video of a nurse who claimed she quit her job after being asked to work in a coronavirus ICU without a face mask. "America is not prepared, and nurses are not being protected," said the ICU nurse in the video. "I quit my job today. I went into work and I was assigned to a COVID patient on an ICU unit that has been converted to a designated COVID unit. None of the nurses are wearing masks." ... Prior to CBS picking up this video, Imaris posted on her public Facebook page that she has anxiety and bi-polar depression and had not been an employee at the hospital for over a year. She mentioned in her post that she was unsure if she was ready to return to her job. Imaris also said the growing volume of information on coronavirus "triggers" her. "The information overload can be hard for me to sift through as far as what is credible and what is not, it triggers me," she wrote in a Facebook post.The video now appears to be inaccurate. Instead of verifying the legitimacy of the video, CBS added background music and captions to highlight a woman who lied about her workplace situation. The woman, who goes by Imaris on social media, has a prominent following on Instagram.

ICU nursing requirements. By the way, this is why floor nurses and others in hospitals are being laid off rather than simply being rotationally assigned to Covid units. They aren't qualified.

By the way, time was this was called "doing the job you signed up for". That might be subject for another day, but it's the truth. You train for the hardest days in your profession, and you do it because it's your calling. Not because you want to be someone's hero. I hate that term.
Anyway, this is the trap the media rather easily, and perhaps purposely falls into. They either use people who fit a particular bias they have, or a narrative they want to peddle, and then use their alleged "credibility" as the Hero Du Jour, to try and present them as some type of unquestionable example of the truth.

Debt Blowout update: As I was reading yesterday, estimates are that Treasury is going to have to borrow $3T in 2020. This is unprecedented. Well, as a fraction of GDP, this is WWII levels.
I imagine most of you aren't interested in the details of how Uncle Sam borrows money, but they involve Treasury Auctions. They had one today for the 10yr note, $25B, and I was reading the results. The yield came in at 0.782%, a new record low.
The interesting thing is the primary dealers had to take 27% of the total, and they will immediately flip it over the Fed.
So, while this is one auction, it means the Fed is gonna be monetizing Uncle Sam's debt issuance at close to 1/3.

Therein is the lie, hospitals are not overflowing with COVID patients, the vast overwhelming majority of patients aren't even admitted, they are tabulated and then told to go quarantine themselves.
I drive by several hospitals on my way to work, there is nothing out of the ordinary going on.
I don't hear sirens, you don't see masses of people, you don't see any of the signs that would lead you to believe this is some great catastrophe.

Here's what I think happened, and I'm basing this one some leaks I read from what the Brit govt. thinks. Well, a likely scenario.
Chicom bio lab in Wuhan was doing research and experimentation with bat coronaviruses. But they were only doing it at bio safety level 2, which is not that great, and nothing like level 4, which is the spacesuits, negative pressure, self destruct mechanism, etc. And I wouldn't trust the Chicoms to be competent at Level 4 anyway.
There were reports about a "blood spraying incident", which sprayed some lab personnel. One of those was likely this female Chicom, whom the Chicom govt. is now trying to erase all memory of, removing all records of her existence.
This Chicom chick and maybe some other lab people were Patient Zero here, who went out and infected the Wuhan population.

Just revoke the individual press pass for the CBS reporter, just before opening the doors to the press room. CBS retains their ability to send a reporter, just not THAT reporter. Do that for every presser, until they get the point or have a nervous breakdown and collapse into a pile of neurotic goo.

To be accurate, the concern is over ICU beds. Most hospitals only have a couple dozen ICU beds. There is even less with isolation capabilities to handle severely infections diseases. It's why NYC asked the Comfort to take on Covid 19 patients and it's why they allowed those icky Christians from Samaritans Purse to set up tents in Central Park to handle additional Covid patients, because they have experience in treating highly infectious patients such as Ebola in Africa.

Well mine is shuttered for a month. Only about -$50k run through the bank and into supply houses, salaries/taxes/mortgage payments/utilities/leases, etc. Really bad for savings fund.
