FISA Court Demands FBI Provide the Names of the FBI Agents Who Repeatedly Abused the System and Perpetrated Frauds Upon the Court
Demands To Know Which FISA Applications Contained "Material Misstatements"

You know what "material mistatements" are, right?

They're the predicate for a criminal prosecution.

18 U.S. Code § 1623.False declarations before grand jury or court
U.S. Code

(a)Whoever under oath (or in any declaration, certificate, verification, or statement under penalty of perjury as permitted under section 1746 of title 28, United States Code) in any proceeding before or ancillary to any court or grand jury of the United States knowingly makes any false material declaration or makes or uses any other information, including any book, paper, document, record, recording, or other material, knowing the same to contain any false material declaration, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.

Nadler is refusing to even accept testimony from the IG for these crimes!

Chris Wray continues doing his actual job -- protecting criminals.

Heckuva job, Chrissy.

125 The FBI needs to be removed from any law enforcement duties.

We need a new federal law enforcement organization.

One way to prevent this from happening again is to make the new organization regional with multiple HQ and regional only agents, and most importantly, NO HQ in Washington DC.

Make Washington DC and the area surrounding it a temporary duty station, where all they do is investigate crimes, and report the crimes directly to all the regional HQ. No reporting to one guy that has his own hand picked Staff carefully protecting his ass, and the image of the corrupt FBI.

What to do with the existing FBI? Since putting them all up against the wall is out? Assign them to investigate crimes that the US have ignored for years and PDT issued an Executive Order about; the murders and disappearances of 5,000 Native American women and children every year from American Indian Reservations.

Put the existing FBI to the sole task of solving all these murders and disappearances going back twenty years. Even a new rookie FBI agent can spend the next 20 years until retirement trying to solve these crimes.

My $0.02.

29 FISA requests for a specific case and time period all violated law and proper procedure. This indicates that a very high percentage or all of the FISA requests for that case were illegal.

I think I'm about at the crazy history professor look. I had one of those in college. He admitted he smoked pot and he and some friends danced on the grave Adlai Stevenson one night. It was a course about the psychology of Richard Nixon, LOL. A product of the times, just like my poetry of rock course I took. The 70s were a heck of a lot of fun.

He is explaining how his wife does not beat him! (and that jail thing was a misunderstanding!) The guy is an American vet on disability, with Chinese wife and apparently she is walking all over him, and lying about what she said in the video in mandarin. Yikes. this is worth a watch though. Serpetza is trying to describe it fairly, but what is unsaid is devastating.

True story.

Bill Gates and Paul Allen, fresh out of dropping out of college and working on OS stuff, caught wind that IBM wanted to get into this brand new market of Personal Computers, and that some execs were flying to California to buy the most popular independent operating system in the new PC industry, CP/M.

The CP/M guy blew off his appointment, and went flying in his private plane instead. The IBM guys showed up at his office and were pissed. So as a backup, they called back to New York HQ and their assistant called Bill and Paul to talk about the OS that Bill said they had, later to be known as Microsoft's DOS. It was strictly a backup plan.

Except, he had no OS software. He did know of an OS that they had seen, from a little company called Seattle OS.

That little factoid never came up when the demo with the IBM guys saw it a day later in Seattle.

Bill called his dad, an active attorney and lots of money, and got $50,000. He then called up the guy at Seattle OS and bought the product and all rights to it.

The rest as they say, is history.

About a decade later, the principals of Seattle OS sued Microsoft, and after a few years, settled for $14 million. It was the late '80's or early '90's, IIRC.

Starting Saturday, April 4, Walmart says it will limit the number of customers in a store at once.

Stores will now allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20 percent of a store's capacity.

To manage this restriction, the associates at a store will mark a queue at a single entry door (in most cases the Grocery entrance) and direct arriving customers there, where they will be admitted one by one and counted.

Separating out, entirely, the national security/counter-intel part has been discussed in the past, before all this.

301 Bertram Cabot, Jr.: State officials in Vermont are ordering large retailers that sell critical items such as food and prescription drugs to stop the in-person sale of nonessential products such as clothing and electronics."

Again with the non-essentials garbage. Malleable term to club people into submission.

Family member of mine was forced - forced - to perform his job remotely. His job is essential in that it involves allowing other people to access their assets/money. And this crisis is putting financial pressure on everyone, so this is not trivial stuff. Nevertheless, his office/business is shut down under guidance from TPTB and relocated to home offices.

OK, fine. Non-essential office moved. But in order to do this job, he requires electronics that are are all compatible. Guess what? One device wasn't, so he needed to update to do this essential non-essential job. So he goes to a large retailer to purchase this non-essential electronic device. Success. The item is available and purchasable. Problem solved.

Now asshoe officials are going to f*ck that up, too, because what they determine is non-essential is, actually, pretty damn essential to people in the real world who don't have guaranteed resources, jobs, and pay.

Top. Men. are going to drive people to do things they really don't want to do and can't do. Then all will turn sporty.

Speaking of Depp, I tried watching a movie with Depp and Jolie yesterday

Official Washington does not punish itself.

See, it's the highest honor they can give you. It means you belong to a family and crew. It means that nobody can fuck around with you. It also means you could fuck around with anybody just as long as they aren't also a member. It's like a license to steal. It's a license to do anything.

330 Tami, the restaurants can still do pickup service, but I don't know how many can sustain themselves for that long a time.

One big restaurant group here laid off 1700 employees when the date was still April 23.

People are supporting the local businesses as much as they can, but jobs are starting to go and luxuries like takeout food will have to go.

331 The gist was Gates made a deal with IBM where they made the pc's and Gates got ownership of the software. The IBM guys thought they worked him as who would care about the software amirite?
Posted by: Quint at April 03, 2020 07:51 PM (hHxp2)

close.

IBM was a mainframe, mini-computer (cost starting at 50K to under a million $), and knew nothing about PC's. Nobody really did, except for the Radio Shack type customers, and college students.

Bill made IBM think he had a viable OS, which he had, except it wasn't his. Bill told IBM execs half of the story, and Seattle OS owners half of the story, and took advantage of his unique view to make the deal that turned Seattle OS into Microsoft DOS.

Every computer has an operating system. Until MS, they were all married to their hardware configuration, and by manufacturer.

The young PC market started the idea that an OS does not have to be married to a single manufacturer, or a subset of certain models. A standardized OS would drive down the cost, and create a new market called the personal computer. And hardware manufacturers could go crazy and not have to have expertise to build and maintain an OS.

Bill saw this trend very early, and decided that he just wanted a little piece of the action of every PC needed, the operating system. No matter who made the hardware. Bill didn't want to ever be in hardware. IBM was big into hardware and owning the entire company's IT infrastructure. The OS was a minuscule part of the big picture in their view.

To Bill, the OS was the key to getting paid a bit by everyone (Godfather II, the crook guy in the white suit and hat that a young Vito Corolone killed is a useful comparison - "I don't want to take your company, I just want to dip my beak") and he has proven immense success to this strategy.

THere was a run for about 100 years when criminals would do something awful in, say, Kentucky, then move to Illinois and start up again. Outside that state's jurisdiction, they didn't break any laws in OUR state. Governments started turning to bounty hunters and organizations like the Pinkerton's because there was no structure or system in place to deal with criminals who crossed state lines.

The FBI has a purpose, its just been bloated beyond all reason and run as if its people are all saints and heroes. Not requiring paperwork??? Illegal to lie to an officer??? Lynching is a federal crime??? Come on. Strip this crap back, all of it to the basics. Federal crimes should only be ones that materially cross state lines or to get criminals who do so. Whenever someone came up with a useful utility - e.g., a spelling checker - Gates would whip up an "almost ready to ship" equivalent feature in the appropriate application, including a wiz bang demo. Which was only a wiz bang demo. Meanwhile, New Guy Software can't get investors, because who will buy a feature Gates will include for free in his next release.

Gates comes along, offers, pennies on the dollar to New Guy Software, including NDAs. Six months later, next Microsoft release has that same feature. And an entry twenty down in the list of patents under the "About" menu from New Guy Software for that feature.

372 So, I just read the ACTUAL FISA Court Order, out today, from Jude Boasberg, available here: https://tinyurl.com/svqhe46

Hate to spoil the thread, but the "Names" Judge Boasberg ordered be disclosed to the Court, are the names of the TARGETS of the 29 faulty applications for surveillance, not the names of the FBI agents.

So, more "Heavy Hitting FISA Court Headlines." that are actually more of the same "too little, too late and not aimed at the actual bad actors" shell game we've now seen for some time by the Government, including FBI, DOJ and the FISA Court.

I mean, "Yea," get the names of the Targets, because if they are domestic political opponents of domestic politicians (of either Party) that would be interesting, but shouldn't there also be some scrutiny of the line-level supervisory FBI agents, IC agents and DOJ Attorneys involved in these matters? Like, is there any common touch-point person within Government that these track back to?

Or even better, how about start with the names of all Gov. personnel involved in the fraudulent and intentionally misleading Carter Page FISA application and then get a list of the TARGETS of all other FISA applications worked on by THOSE SAME agents?

That's what you would do if you wanted to, you know, get to the bottom of whether there is criminal conduct that can be prosecuted.

CONCLUSION: Continued cover-up and desire to sweep this all under the carpet by everyone involved. Sickening.

373 283 Barr is a plodder. He's not going to cut corners, he's not going to overlook things in haste. He's not going to try to wow a judge with fancy legal maneuvering. He's just going to build his case, duck by duck, until they're all in a perfect row.

This is exactly the kind of guy you don't want on your ass if you've broken the law.

I would really, really like to believe you, but two things are really bugging me.

1. Where are the Grand Juries. I expect Barr to keep quiet about them, but where are the FBI and DOJ underlings bitching about being brought into a grand jury. I expect it to be national news if Comey, Brenna, Stroczkczk, or Page get called in.

2. Where are the indictments of the low level, but obviously guilty shits like Klinesmith?

Show me either one, and my mind will be much relieved.

Posted by: rd at April 03, 2020 07:56 PM (+0uDE)

You don't normally go to the grand jury until your investigation is finished. You can't go back again and again. There's no reason to jump the gun - these people aren't going anywhere.

Yes, it seems like it's taking forever. But look at it from Barr's perspective - the Democrats are going to portray it as a partisan witch hunt. Once it goes to the grand jury he's going to be attacked every day on CNN. Chuck Schumer is going to excoriate him every day from the Senate floor. So the case has to be airtight. He can't overcharge like normal prosecutions. It has to look fair, even to biased observers.

The danger, of course, is Trump isn't reelected and it all gets swept under the rug. But prosecuting someone and losing would be worse than doing nothing.

Posted by: Ace's liver at April 03, 2020 08:26 PM (wGeit)

374 I would argue that the purpose of the FBI no longer exists because of advanced communication and cooperation among states.

375 372 So, I just read the ACTUAL FISA Court Order, out today, from Judge Boasberg, available here: https://tinyurl.com/svqhe46 ...
========

Further, CBS's Catherine Herridge's tweets on this subject today state that that the 29 FISA applications just reviewed by Horowitz "overlaps [timing] of FBI Russia/Mueller probes," suggesting the Court wants the names of the TARGETS of these 29 applications in relation to Russia!

Incredible, because if you actually read Horowitz's new memo re these 29 FISA Applications, he says they were randomly selected to produce a sample for purposes of double-checking "Woods File" compliance.

So, NOT related to Russia! So, what's the point in getting at the names of the TARGETS in the context of the Meta-Russia! questions?

This is BS by the FISA Court and the FBI, again. It shows them bent to the idea this is also explained by incompetence and negligence. And the Media happily reports on this angle, claiming vindication of Russia! because "Hey! All of the FBI's FISA Applications suck!"

Clearly, this is true, but that doesn't ALSO mean that the bad Gov. actors in Russia! Saga didn't INTENTIONALLY take advantage of this systemic FBI failure to go after political opponents of Obama, criminally.

If you want to get at THAT question, you would start with the names of the Gov. personnel involved in Carter Page FISA, and back-track by checking all other FISA Applications (a) related to Carter Page one, + (b) all other FISA Applications worked by the same people that worked on Carter Page's, and look at the identity of those Targets, and their related Woods File information. THEN you would have a picture of whether Carter Page FISA was part of a larger coordinated plan (which we all suspect, reasonably, is what in fact occurred here).

Posted by: RichardWindsor at April 03, 2020 08:38 PM (DRgs8)

376 The FISA court has now become concerned about it's existence, so it's time to throw some scapegoats on the fire.

This is pure cover your black robed ass because y'all been caught theater. As long as the FBI was not seeking to tap members of their club /politically aligned allies, the fisa court didn't give two hoots about what the applications actually said, the factual basis for the application or the verity of the sources used. Make it colorable and you are good to go, Fourth amendment be damned.

That, and go after, specifically, what supposed fruits of warrant #1 justified warrant #2, and then 3 and 4?!
One BS "pretext" for a warrant, shame on the FBI. Two, three and four? The FISA Court is a co conspirator.

You know what impeachment is for? It's for lawless Federal /FISA Judges who've abused their oath and the Constitution.

And I still can't wrap my head around the complete, police state tactic of "investigating" Trump's lawyer on "unrelated" crimes as a pretext to seize his attorneys files on Trump. To me, that was a Rubicon of Rubicons in the destruction of our rule of law. Everyone associated with that needs to be prosecuted in particular.
