Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Hawaiian Judge Amy Berman Jackson Declares That Roger Stone Caused The House Report On Russian Collusion to be " " " Incorrect " " ", Sentences Him to 40 Months in Prison"Incorrect?" In what way, #Resistance Fighter? Was it not all that you wanted it to be? Was it not fulfilling? Did it not scratch you where you Orange Man Bad itched? Have you not heard of the Mueller Report, which similarly "incorrectly" concluded that Russia Collusion was a hoax all along? Do you not accept that finding? Are you a conspiracy theorist? During the hearing, the judge stated -- flat-out said -- that Stone deserved a long sentence because his "lie" caused the Mueller Report to be "incorrect," by which she means, "It did not deliver what CNN and MSNBC promised me it would deliver, and I'm here to rectify that." So, yes, Stone is being sentenced by a Trump-deranged Russian Collusion Truther. She will not accept the Mueller Report as proof there was never any "collusion," and she's decided that the man standing before her, Roger Stone, is the reason that her paranoid fantasies were not proven to be true.Josh Gerstein (@joshgerstein) BREAKING: Judge sentences Roger Stone to 3 years, 4 months in prison for impeding Trump-Russia investigation

Interesting question for the lawyers out there.
Can a Judge bring outside information into the court, that is not submitted as evidence, and use it as part of a ruling? or is that pretty much an automatic case for appeal? As it clearly shows bias against the defendant. Posted by: Romeo13 at February 20, 2020 12:56 PM (NgKpN) 34

1. As I've been saying, this Obama judge, Amy Berman Jackson, has demonstrated time and again she should not be handling cases involving the president's past associates. She's not capable of impartial justice. 2. Most other judges handling this case would've been appalled by the conduct of the jury foreman and immediately undertaken an investigation of what transpired in her own courtroom. 3. But Jackson plows ahead, indicating her desire to throw the book at Stone. This is the same judge who put Paul Manafort in solitary confinement. Judge Amy is part of the coup, gagging Stone for a year or so, while the Coup Liars were on CNN all day, after they lied to congress ... and while Strzok and others tried to entrap Trump via their insurance policy. 33, Sentencing hearings are usually quite boring affairs and judges are circumspect in what they say in the federal system. What happens is that prior to sentencing, a pre-sentencing report is compiled and the relevant provisions of U.S. Code that the defendant was convicted under. The U.S. Sentencing Commission has created presumptive sentencing ranges for each conviction and this presumptive sentence range also factors in various sentencing enhancement laws such as the Armed Career Criminals Act and so on.
Any sentence outside of the presumptive range is either a downward or upward departure from the guidelines and the judge in the case is required to explain in writing why a sentence outside the range was granted. Both prosecutors and defendants may then appeal such a sentence. Usually prosecutors appeal downward departures while defendants appeal upwards departures. A sentence can only be appealed if a judge departs from the guidelines sentencing range. Resistance Judge Amy is auditioning for a higher court appointment by the Dems as payback for her shenanigans. I doubt the DC Circuit will be kind to her and her rulings. Given the Trump curse efficacy, Judge Amy's hair will fall out, her nose will grow, and her rulings will be overturned, but mostly the last one. What would be curious is if Resistance Judge Amy has ex parte contacts via her hubby with the other Resistance figures just like dirty judge Contreas. I'll bet that is so. ZP: In a shocking move, President Trump's administration announced Thursday that just-sentenced political prankster Roger Stone would be receiving a commutation from the President.
Additionally, Mr. Stone was offered a position in the White House as a "policy implementation advisor" to White House senior advisor Stephen Miller. The offer predated the sentencing, indicating that Mr. Stone went into his sentencing aware of both a commutation and a job offer. Caught on microphone just before entering the bailiff's vehicle on Thursday, Mr. Stone smiled and briskly said, "Well, you know....it's just beautifully mutated." 82, No, that is incorrect. A judge may take "judicial notice" only of facts that are not in dispute--e.g. the National Weather Service at the airport had 2 inches of total rain on Wed, Sept. 23, 2019.
Judicial notice is designed to save time during witness examination so that every single fact does not have to be introduced at court. From the media coverage, it appears that Judge Amy is instead auditioning. And btw, a judge can be removed from a retrial depending on the case facts brought forward in the appeal. What needs to be investigated is the "random" assignment of Resistance Judge Amy to these cases. There is probably a rat in the Clerk's Office doing this. 184, The whole random selection of who hears cases is a pathetic joke. People in the clerk's office are supposed to randomly assigned cases but often throw a high profile case to a judge that can be depended upon to make a ruling by other criteria than the law. I would not be surprised to find that clerks in courts have been even bribed to do so as this was true in the state courts during the Mafia era.
The gay marriage case being sent to a district court judge who was gay and had interest in the outcome is such an example. Two high profile Mueller cases being sent to Resistance Judge Amy is another. Posted by: whig at February 20, 2020 01:20 PM (EUDB2) 233

"Mile High Mike" as he is known to his friends absolutely obliterated all the other candidates in the debate last night. Perhaps the other, shorter, inferior candidates were intimidated by having a man so enormously tall look down on them while routinely and continuously outsmarting them as though they were mere apes. Or maybe they were just enraptured by the awe-inspiring presence of a man more gloriously accomplished and progressive than any of them will ever be and held back out of respect and knowing that Mike would beat them in the debate no matter how hard they tried.

The U.S. defense agency responsible for secure White House communications said Social Security numbers and other personal data in its network may have been compromised, according to a letter seen by Reuters on Thursday that was sent to people possibly affected.
The letter, dated Feb. 11, 2020, says that between May and July 2019, personal data may have been compromised "in a data breach" of a system hosted by the Defense Information Systems Agency. The agency provides direct telecommunications and IT support for President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, their staff, and the U.S. Secret Service, according to its website. The NYC guy on the radio Mark Simone says Bloomberg is an introvert who also tends to avoid people. He takes a private elevator at events; If he's to speak he comes in at the last minute and doesn't schmooze with people. I don't mind introverts (I am one. I just can function as an extrovert). However, if you want to be successful in the world of politics or a number of other endeavors you have to talk to people. You don't necessarily have to be comfortable with it, but people have to know you're interested in them.

45s Watching the Democrat debate last night, Ann and I were highly impressed with the performance of Mike Bloomberg. He was well-prepared, offered real solutions to the problems we face and was articulate in expressing his vision for a unified Republic, free from partisan bickering and political one-upmanship. He stood tall on that stage last night and overshadowed all his competitors as he deftly took on all comers. Impressive performance! Posted by: JoeF. at February 20, 2020 01:35 PM (CqE5x) 365

It affected him...a lot. I always felt bad for him because of it. If I were a guy, I don't think I'd like being that kind of short. Superficial, yes. But it is what it is. Judge Amy, if the Mueller report was incorrect, and it was Stone's false testimony that caused it to be incorrect, you should be obliged to tell us:
1. What parts were incorrect, and in what specific ways were those parts incorrect? 2 What testimony of Stone's caused those parts to be incorrect? 3. What were the correct versions of those parts? 4. How should those deficiencies be corrected, and by whom? If you can't or won't address these questions that follow directly from your statements from the bench, your judgements can only be interested as revenge for the disappointment you and your allies suffered. Ps. Hope you enjoyed the tongue-bath NPR gave you this morning, a "report" on this case which saiid absolutely NOTHING about the outrageousness of the sentence originally proposed by the DOJ prosecutors, but did mention how they resigned in protest to it being reduced. That was designed to let you reduce their recommended sentence from outrageous to merely disgusting, and reinforce the false impression of fairness and objectivity that NPR fatuously attributed to you, wasn't it! Once the judges decided 'shall hold their offices during times of good behavior' meant their appointments were lifetime we lost control of the third branch.
The problem is less with the judicial decisions as it is with congress refusing to do anything about judges to rein them in. Congress has incredible power over federal judges, but almost never, ever uses it. Then, when they do (Alcee Hastings) they let the guy in and praise him when he gets elected. In the history of the United States, over 200 years, 14 federal judges have been impeached. Of those, 8 were convicted and removed from office, and 3 resigned before the trial. They just will not do their damned job and deal with activist judges and ones failing to carry out their duties. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at February 20, 2020 01:55 PM (KZzsI) 513

So then I looked at the debate stage and the other candidates are all within a few inches of Pete. These people are tiny - it's not just Bloomberg. Whoever gets the nomination will likely be dwarfed by Trump, LOL. Posted by: Lizzy at F I looked at the debate stage and saw: --A surprised otter (Mike B.) --someone's bitter ex-wife (Warren) --a crazy uncle who did too much LSD in the 60s (Bernie) --A person who you were assigned to do a group project with but did absolutely no work and is dumb as a chalkboard eraser (Biden) --A wine mom who struggles to regain her former cheerleading looks but can't pull it off. Tries to be the smartest woman in the room only to realize she IS the only woman in the room (Klobuchar) --A guy who reminds you of Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter only he is gay, who achieved the status of mayor yet wants to hit above his grade regarding running for office. Polite enough to give you a reach around while screwing you. Posted by: Our Country is Screwed at February 20, 2020 02:00 PM (N39Ws) 539
I got a new guitar shipped to me yesterday. It should acclimated by the time I get home this evening. It's a Taylor 414ce in rosewood. Very, much looking forward to playing it.

Yeah his main problem is that he thinks he knows better than everyone else, and that he should use power to impose that "better way" on everyone. He's a sawed-off tyrant with leftist tendencies.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at February 20, 2020 01:41 PM (KZzsI) Yeah, he's off the scale authoritarian. Trump said that Dems have strayed from the party of JFK, but he was more of a replacement for royal court in their eyes, they've never adhered to him much in terms of his politics. They're firmly the party of FDR in their desire for near dictatorial powers from the executive and a wholly subservient press that functions as their PR. With the possible exception of the Clintons, what I find shocking is not that these people are for sale, but how cheaply they are bought. They just keep pushing, pushing, like Lenin said, "probe with the knife until you find steel, then withdraw".
Most of this rolls off my shoulders because if it didn't the ongoing leftist machinations could leave one angry and bitter 24/7 very easily. But, this repeated double standard of justice, the Antifa immunity from the law, and the Northam threat on firearms really are blood boilers personally. Most of the time I dismiss the reactions from the right about a civil war or some form of street justice as not being likely. But I am starting to feel like if these leftist idiots do not realize when enough is enough, there may truly be some firestorms coming. I Posted by: RM at February 20, 2020 02:01 PM (U3LtS) 551
I once saw Barbara Mandrell play side by side with Roy Clark (who is a masterclass musician). They both picked up and played one instrument after another, kind of challenging each other for fun. She blew me away. An amazing talent. Beautiful, too.

471, His predecessor as NYC mayor, Fiorello LaGuardia was known as the Little Flower. The reason that short jokes did not work on him was that he walked the walk and talked the talk.
The reason being short bothers Mayor Mikey is that he spent his time in Bermuda and out of town and basically telephoned most of his mayoralty in. Jokes about his height reminds Mayor Mikey that there as some things that he cannot buy which probably infuriates him. Posted by: whig at February 20, 2020 02:09 PM (EUDB2) 567

127 I'd invite all you folks that think letting this go on would be a great political chess move to trade places with Roger Stone.
Let you be the one with a multi-year Federal sentence hanging over your head. Then tell me how eager you'd be to "let it all play out". This shit-show needs to end. Today is not soon enough. Posted by: Shit Happens I think if Trump commutes the sentence, Stone would still have the ability to appeal or see it overturned. Posted by: rechill at February 20, 2020 02:48 PM (Q1LXu) House would need to vote to impeach, and the Senate would need to have 66 votes to remove. So almost impossible if the corruption is political advantageous to one side of the aisle. Posted by: Liberty at February 20, 2020 02:53 PM (RX+GO) 573
