Nancy Pelosi Defends Her Bitter Rip: "I'm Always Dignified"

And I'm always up by 6:00 am sharp.

Drunk demented old bat Nancy Pelosi held a bizarre press conference today, where she declared that her ripping of the speech was very "dignified."

"I tore up a manifesto of mistruths," Pelosi said. If you've been listening to Pelosi for long enough you can probably hear when she's uncorking new talking points. "Manifesto of mistruths" definitely sounds like something she or her staff worked out in advance.

...

Pelosi then suggested CNN's Manu Raju was out of line for even asking the question: "It's appalling the things that he says and then you say to me ‘Tearing up his falsehoods, isn't that the wrong message?' No it isn't." "I have tried to be gracious with him. I'm always dignified," Pelosi added.

The Democrats are increasingly brazen about giving their marching orders to the media in open communications.

Not through private emails, the way they used to issue their instructions to the media.

But in open comms, right on TV.

The media never complains about this, never whines about bullying.

They merely take their orders from their senior officers and execute them.

Sexton also notes that Nancy Pelosi offers the Conspiracy Theory, offered Without Evidence, that Trump seemed "sedated" during the speech. Like he was drugged.

Sexton wonders if that's also "dignified." He also notes that the media freaked out when some commentators posted video of Nancy Pelosi noting she was slurring her words and appeared drunk -- but he doesn't expect the media to freak out over Pelosi's Without Evidence claim that Trump was "sedated."

Deb Heine was also unimpressed by Nancy Pelosi's performance:

Pelosi spent most of the presser bitterly lambasting the president for "lying" about the booming economy, which she claimed was entirely the result of former president Barack Obama’s economic policies.

"It was appalling to hear him try to take credit for something that--and call what President Obama did a mess that he inherited when, in fact, it was a great advantage to the country that President Obama’s policies took us to that very positive place of growth and of job creation and deficit reduction," the Speaker said with a straight face. "He still hasn’t matched President Obama's growth in the stock market," she added.

As if to demonstrate how desperate Democrats have become, she went on to misrepresent Trump’s Charlottesville "good people on both sides" remarks in an effort to smear the president. As everyone who has bothered to watch the tape knows, the president "totally" condemned the white supremacists at the rally, but pointed out that there were bystanders present on each side who had legitimate opinions about Confederate statues.

Yes, the "Charlottesville" reference seems to be coordinated with partisan "journalists:"

Jim Acosta
@Acosta

It's not quite true that Trump has never behaved this way during public remarks. This is how he sounded at Trump Tower after Charlottesville.

Isn't it terribly strange that Jim Acosta is spouting out the exact same talking points as Nancy Pelosi?

Well, I guess some message coordination still occurs via private communications.

(Thanks to redridinghood for that.)

And additional difference between the two is the the Russian people were largely aware that they were being fed lies. The same cannot be said here and that is a fatal difference. Our bovine public thinks that the media speaks truth and anyone questioning it are the liars. We don't survive that.

Oh wait, that's exactly what reality is already like. They already do bray coordinated anti-Trump talking points at the top of their lungs 24 hours a day every day. And the end result of all that? Trump is more popular than ever.

No, what she's doing is acting as the squirrel so no one will focus on all the issues where Trump and his administration has succeeded. Her mission is to keep that all out of the public eye and to coordinate those actions with her publicity team, the MFM.

If it takes an investigation, then that's what the DNC will do. If it means a manufactured crisis, then that will also do. If it means acting like a hysterical loon, Pelosi is up for the job. But at all cost, Trump's agenda and success MUST. NOT. BE. COVERED.

When the housing market crashed and the economy tanked during George Bush's presidency, that was Bush's fault.

When the economy limped along at negligible growth rates, despite 0% interest rates from the Fed and trillions of dollars of deficit "stimulus" spending, for 8 friggin' years during Obama's presidency, that was also Bush's fault.

And when Obama told everybody that American jobs were gone and "never coming back," and that "we can't drill our way to energy independence," that was also Bush's fault.

And then Trump eased regulations so that we could drill and frack our way to energy independence, and Trump made deals with China and other countries that stimulated job creation here, and Trump cut taxes and stimulated the stock market to all-time highs. And all that is thanks to Obama?

These people really are f*cking insane.

The policies that got our economy moving again were Trump policies. The Trump policies were the exact opposite of what Obama had done -- which is why the Trump policies have been working, unlike the Obama policies, which were shit.

For that idiot Pelosi and those other fuckwit Dims to try and give Obama credit for what Trump has done is really maddening.

213 Trump would be right to address this Charlottesville attack once and for all. The Left dreams of the idea that normal people are hate filled racists. They dream of this so much, that is why they will never let it go. I don't know crap about Charlottesville. I never followed it, not for a second. Sounds like a bunch of idiots who had no clue what they were doing really.

The fact is no Confederate Monument in Virginia was in threat of going down in 2018 or whenever this happened. Unlike other states like Texas, and Louisiana, cities in Virginia are not allowed to just topple historical monuments. That is why the ones in that town are still up. That is why they have not taken down any monuments in VA to this day.

Whoever went there had no clue if they thought they were defending monuments. But it was never about monuments from the little I glean. There were hate groups and they defile our history really. If anything, they hurt the cause to preserve history badly. I get what Trump was saying but he should have stayed out of it. I get he was saying people have different views on monuments and there are good people on both sides of that debate. Funny, you never see Dems asked that gotcha question. When was Obama asked about taking down monuments? When was Clinton asked about the same?
If nutters thought mixing up their agenda with monuments was a good idea, they were wrong. But that is neither here nor there at this point. I get that Trump was trying to be fair in a divisive situation. But the left will never let this go, this is the one they will always move on because it is their dream. They really think a lot of Americans hate others for who they are. They are wrong about that.
I think he should address it or at least be ready to do so when they lob it at him. It is pretty sick that he is attacked for a comment. Not for anything he did, but for a comment.

BTW, monuments are likely in trouble now in 2020 because the radical left rules that state. The state government, through legislation alone can take down historical monuments. That was not even a possibility in 2018 or 17 or whenever that shit show was. But now it could happen.

I think you are misunderstanding the term Evidence of Questionable Origin. It is confusing the way it is written.

What is questionable is where the money came from because it is classic money laundering. "Why would Biden be getting paid from a bank in Cyprus", for example.

They are getting, amongst other information, SARs reports from FinCEn, the part of the Treasury Department that goes after money laundering and other financial crimes.

This is the same agency that leaked the SARs records of Micheal Cohen and others that led to the indictment, yes, there have been indictments, of the Treasury agent who leaked them.

Besides the labor theory of value - which is ridiculous - my favorite quote was this one:

So ... a nation of dilettantes? I could've operated on Marx's brain in the afternoon" It'd have been my pleasure.

"Cash for Clunkers" fills me with a white-hot fury. It was so terribly stupid on so many levels that it beggars belief.

Not only destroying the cheap used car market (there is only recently a very low end market coming back) - hello disproportionate impact on the poor - but from a capital and trade standpoint it was insane.

Employing subsidies for the purpose of destroying unencumbered (that is, owned outright with no financing) capital in favor of encumbered capital is a criminally stupid policy. Add in to it that there weren't even any prohibitions on using the subsidies for imports or majority-foreign cars.

It all fills me with rage to the point that I am worried I will have a stroke when I think about it.

332 Not only destroying the cheap used car market (there is only recently a very low end market coming back) - hello disproportionate impact on the poor - but from a capital and trade standpoint it was insane.

Used Car lots had a pretty good month or two after it, then cratered and have not recovered since. I know a couple salesmen (and while they aren't as bad as the stereotype... don't ever try to make a deal with one). They hate Cash for Clunkers. Such a horrible idea. So many beautiful classics wiped out.

This is common the Left. I had a guest lecturer in a class when I was in college. He talked about being the son of a coal miner and his family was pretty poor. He worked hard in high school and got a full ride scholarship to go to college. He didn't like it and dropped out and moved to NYC. He started doing drugs and ended up a street person. After a few years of that, he cleaned up and started working as a day laborer and going to night school. He eventually got back into college. He graduated and went on to pursue a doctorate. He became a tenured professor at a northeastern private university.

After telling us his story, he started in on his communism and how capitalists are evil and America is just the worst.

At the end of his lecture, I asked a question I thought was obvious:
"So to summarize, you had a great opportunity that you squandered, you became a bum, you subsequently woke up, worked hard, got back to where you were and then surpassed it, becoming a college professor. How is your experience not indicative of the American way? How are you not an exemplar of the flexibility of our system?"

His response? "Most people couldn't do what I did. I am very smart."

Motherfuckers like that, and like AOC, are why I went from a casual default conservative to fire-breather.

The main point was Trump was right that there were good people on both sides of the historical monument debate. I didn't see it, but I don't doubt at all some went there to protest taking down monuments that were not going to be taken down.

I also think a bunch of people used that as excuse to spread vitriol unrelated to monuments or American history. Those people shat on history really.

The president should have a good response when the radical left lobs this. The press such as the Washington Compost will never let it go, it is their kink. I think I read they did something like 50 cover pages on monuments, weird.

Anyway, I said it all in 213 though the post looks like crap. My apologies there.

470 As was said in one of the threads yesterday, the speech-tearing was just a bit of theater to pump up the dejected Dem base, to put them in a better mood and keep them fired up so they wouldn't grump so much about the impeachment failure to come.

But this will lead to an expectation that every SOTU will come with a Democrat stunt to try to steal the limelight. What will she do next year? And the year after that? And 4 years from now, when Trump is still president? By then she'll be standing on top of the desk, stripped naked and holding her big gavel clenched in her hoo-hoo as she waves it at the chamber.

"This boy is Ignorance and this girl is Want. Beware them both, and all of their degree, but most of all beware this boy for on his brow I see that written which is Doom, unless the writing be erased."

472 The dems are a bunch of losers and they know it. That's what has them so pissed.

Same for the MFM.

473 Obama's economic polices - Say, what where those again? Seriously, what polices did he implement that led to the spectacular economy we have now?

I mean, trump can say better trade deals, tax cuts, cuts in regulations etc. You can argue how effective they were. But what Obama policies even pretended to spur the economy? in fact, I seem to recall him pissing away $8 trillion of so with zero effect.

474 I'd love to see a series of commercials...with prominent democrats making predictions about the economy and other things...then have what has happened since.

Start with Krugman saying the stock market will NEVER recover. quick cut to...stock market setting record highs.

Cut of Obama saying growth over 2% was impossible...cut to news say we have 3.0 growth.

I mean, you cold make a terrific series. Just show that almost everything they say is completely wrong.

End with "Vote for what you know is right. Vote Republican. Vote Trump."

475 His response? "Most people couldn't do what I did. I am very smart."

Motherfuckers like that, and like AOC, are why I went from a casual default conservative to fire-breather.

476 One thing that I have not heard or read is this. Nancy's caucus was taking their cues from her. If she applauded, they must also applaud. If she refused, they were required to follow suit. If she stood, they could stand. If she remained glued to her seat, they were not to move a muscle. So all these scenes of Dems' sitting on their hands were her fault. She allowed her personal pique at the president's refusal of her hand to lead her caucus into a disastrous rejection of America itself. But remember that she is the master strategist eating Trump's lunch every day.

477 On thing about democrats in general, and Nancy in particular, is they just toss out all sorts of versions of the truth. The the media just picks which one they think will appeal the most to their viewers and highlight that. Only if you watch the whole thing does it come across as a bunch of disjointed lies. But who watches the whole thing?

478 If I understand correctly Obama was not responsible for recession from 2008 to 2016 but he is responsible for the boom. He was a miracle man.

480 Best suggestion I heard today was have Trump pardon Nancy for the crime of tearing up government property. It would be hilarious. Please Please Please
