End of story. I decided in the last two years of GWB's second term that I would not be voting for Republican nominees who did not reach a set bar for ***minimal*** conservative beliefs. If the Republican Party persisted in delivering non-conservatives as their presidential nominees -- then I would not vote for those people.
I realized that we simply need a conservative party -- and if it's not the Republican party I wouldn't be voting for them.
So when they nominated McCain and Romney -- I refused to vote for either.
And given the ensuing years I am extremely happy that I did not. They would both have dragged the party even further to the left.

2) There's no implication that state legislature's are "better" in any way.
But, if the people of Utah are really against the impeachment of Trump, and their state legislature had an indirect say in it, the people would be telling the state legislature what the senator should do, and that could include a recall.

It is probably 10 percent plus is deep blue major metropolitan areas. In the country, and I mean in every state of the union, Never Trump is unheard of. My guess is under 5 percent of Republicans nationally are "Never Trump" whatever that means. Trumped has brought on a lot more Democrats than that.

Only because, as republicans, we are not used to exercising power. Trump has been ill-advised by those in his inner circle, so he has been hesitant to do what desperately needs to be done.
On the first day of his second term, Trump needs to unceremoniously fire every political appointee in the government. These people need to be replaced with real Americans, plucked from across the country and put in charge of what Washington insiders used to run.
Their mission would be to rearrange and deliver the services that each agency is tasked with the best service and value to the American public. I suspect that every agency would be able to operate at a higher level for half the price than we have now.
On top of reorganizing, I would expect just about every agency to move out of Washington and relocate in states across the country. This would dilute the deep state and the cesspool known as Washington D.C.
Now is the time exercise the power of the American people. Fuck everyone, we're coming through...

There's a reason we put him in: Romney saved the Salt Lake Olympic Games, and he was essentially the first credible Presidential candidate from Utah, which tends to be ignored nationally. So he was a shoe in for election.
I didn't vote for him, because while I'd been a big Mitt guy earlier I'd seen too much. And now much if not most of the Utah voters have seen the true Massachusetts Mitt, and while we may not like Trump, we certainly don't like liberals and leftists either. After all, the rest of the state delegation is fairly conservative--even our Democrat rep is mostly conservative for a Dem, though he signed his death warrant by siding with Pelosi on impeachment so he's out of there, and I think he knows it.
I don't think Mitt will run for reelection, because I think he knows he's toast if he does.

It's the facilities. If a kitchen makes non-kosher food, kosher food cannot be made there. Kinda like gluten-free stuff being made where normal stuff is made, except spiritual instead of medical.

To anybody without an agenda or axe to grind, the House case was a joke. A vote to convict makes you a hack or a moron. And if you are defending Romney's principles in voting as a hack or a moron, well, you're pretty much in that boat too. Hack or moron. And I say this as someone who was infuriated by how Ted Cruz was handled by Trump in the primary. I didn't trust Trump. There's a difference between being driven by a sense of honor, fairness, and logic, not to mention a love of the truth, to want to find the facts and reality instead of a kneejerk "rah rah team" reaction to everything. To try to see the whole issue and what is going on rather than simply an emotional "I love this" or "I hate this" response/
I try to do this, even if unsuccessfully most of the time.
But the problem is you can become fixated on the goal rather than the cause; you can become interested in "seeing things from both sides" all the time and being the Adult In The Room Who Always Sees Both Sides. That's an easy trap to fall into because it feeds self righteousness "Thank God I'm not like the mob".
God (and the horde) forgive me if I fall into that trap, I try not to.

If the ingredients aren't kosher certified then the cookie isn't. It could be that something isn't made in a kosher certified facility or for whatever reason certain items aren't kosher that are made there.

And I think most people would say no, Jesus wouldn't do that. So they are opposed to Trump on a personal level. Plus all his adultery, etc. If you wanted Clinton gone because he was a serial adulterer and how can you trust that, it's hard to say that Trump's ok while Clinton wasn't. Except, of course, did Trump do something in the White House? No.
Me, I am glad I am not the Supreme Judge. But the way I read the Bible, Jesus wanted us to love each other... but He was no wallflower when it came time to call out the elites of His day. Trump says stuff, but he's not come close to what Jesus called the Pharisees and Scribes. And most Christians, I think, believe Jesus was God of the Old Testament as well. And the God of the Old Testament could sling some pretty good fire and brimstone when He wanted. So Trump would seem to be in line with the more "muscular" side of Christianity. At least, my view.
But if you are looking for Jesus as your President, Trump is pretty far from that ideal. Course, compared to a Bernie or a Biden? Trump's a saint!
