Nasty Dirty Decrepit Nancy Pelosi Was Testing the Pages of the Speech to See If They Could Be Torn; She Was Planning This From the Start

I'm not sure it's enough to convict.

But then, like Mitt Romney, I had a long thought about it, and decided I could not live with my conscience unless I said: Guilty.

What do you guys think? I can see the inference, but I don't see smoking-gun proof.

Is there conclusive proof on this video that I keep missing?

Update: They Daily Mail has video showing that Pelosi stealthily pre-ripped the speech before ripping it for the camera.

The old lady had to pre-rip sheets of paper
to dramatically rip them for the cameras.

Thanks to AZ Hi Desert (Gringo fuertemente armado) for answering my question.

She was muttering , fidgeting, twisting things, looking through the speech, gesturing to people in the audience, checking her phone, and making all kinds of chewing, licking, twisted mouth motions, along with blinking. She's another ancient congress person who really has no business being in such an important position.

She is no different than great Aunt Gladys sitting four rows back in church, yelling Amen and talking loudly to the person next to her if they are going to lunch at Cracker Barrel.

This behavior last night is no different than that. It's a loss of inhibitions, the ones that logic and decorum keep in check when the brain is working at 100%.

True, but by the same token, once the votes are in, any GOPe cockholster that votes to convict had better lose their leadership perks, committee chairmanships and get their office moved down to the Capitol building storage B, then given a flashlight and a can of Raid along with a request to help out with the cockroach problem in the basement.

ITC, the problem is that McConnell cannot simply remove Romney from his current committee assignments. His fellow committee members have to do it via a vote . So if you have seven Senators making up the Intelligence committee, you take Romney's vote out, you are left with three Rep. and three Dem's voting. You think the Dem's are going to vote him off their little island when they know how easily they can buy him off? No, so he gets to stay.

McConnell can do something about committee assignments after the new Congress meets in January, but not before.

251 But of course Romney lies:

"CLAIM: The president's lawyers said "there could be no impeachment without a statutory crime."

VERDICT: FALSE. That is the opposite of what the president's lawyers argued before the Senate.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) misquoted the White House counsel's argument in his speech in the Senate Wednesday explaining why he would vote to remove President Donald Trump from office.

Romney said that one of the president's defenses was that "there could be no impeachment without a statutory crime."

That is not, however, what the White House counsel argued.

Alan Dershowitz presented the constitutional arguments against impeachment. He argued that a president had to commit "criminal-like" behavior even if there had been no statutory crime.

Specifically, Dershowitz said that the Constitution required "criminal-like conduct akin to treason and bribery."

298 As has been mentioned before: Trump is speaking to *us* while Pelosi, Romney, the MSM are speaking to each other. That's who they are trying to impress. Pelosi gets "Yaz qweens!!" from the feminists and cable networks. Romney's attaboys from French and Shapiro mean more to him that all the CSPAN callers, all the SC diners interviewed on Fox this a.m. (getting reactions to the speech), all the rally-goers in Wildwood, NJ, etc.

That used to be enough: impress your fellow DC colleagues and the MSM and then the rest of the country buys into the narrative.

Those days are over. Nancy, Mitt and the rest of the gang don;t get it yet.

He's a LOSER. A SORE LOSER. That nullifies any other good points about him. Believing in God doesn't mean you're not an asshole. Trust me on this.

His Holier than thou act got a bit tarnished in MA and when the Massholes caught on and shit canned him what did he do? He went and started buying up failing industries, stripping them of assets, firing the workers then selling the shell to some other company for them to do sneaky and shady things. All the while loving NAFTA cause it's because of that that he was making millions.

Once he was out of the limelight long enough he tried a come back or too trying to play to the far right god fearing liberal haters. But he just couldn't shake the fact of his medicare shenanigans in MA so he couldn't quite convince everyone of his purity.

Then along comes a bombasted bastard from Queens who's profane and rude and the people love him and vote him to be their President. Rejecting thoroughly the lie that is Romney.

Well, Mitt, you blew it in the second debate with Barry Benghazi. I saw it, live, screaming at the tv. YOU BLEW IT YOURSELF, you mongrel pitiful petunia.

Somehow, in a narcissistic mind, he blames President Trump. He is like the person who comes so close to being a beauty queen, yet is defeated and doesn't understand how. I mean, HOW? Afterall, he thinks he looks the Hollywood casting of President. Yet he is hollow. A fake. It is all about himself, not his constituents. Why, one may ask, did he not run for Senate as the Dim he is? Why, by golly, he would not be elected in Utah! I think he was elected for exactly this moment, for the attention.
And to hide behind his religion is foul. Right. You are hiding behind yourself, traitor. I hope you will be scored in DC and Utah. I hope you are rotting in the blackmail, possibly, that forced you to both lose the election to Barry, as well as your own son's involvement in the Ukraine, as well as your involvement with J Cofer Black, who was involved in profiting from the Ukraine. Romney's foreign policy advisor for his 2012 presidential campaign , an ex CIA member, joined the board of Burisma six months after Hunter Biden left. in 2017. His name is Joseph Coser Black, and the story was posted at Red State.

It was such an unexpected play that they didn't know what to do and even if they did, they had no options. They had no "Plan B." Impeachment itself *was* "Plan B."

So they stuck with the plan. It was all they could do.
Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at February 05, 2020 03:56 PM (I2dne)

This is what happens when inflexible incompetents make the plans. They can't adjust to unexpected tactics and recover, they just keep trying to stick to what they know in the hopes that it will work.

No amount of force multipliers (like the media and bureaucracy) can save you from that kind of rigid thinking.

You all do realize that Romney has four years left on his tenure in the Senate which is the entire second Trump term? And someone earlier mentioned Anne was going to need round the clock care, um, Anne was just in Wellington( with Williard) joining in the festivities at the three months of horse shows there. Her trainer is showing her mare and the stallion she co owns. Photos of her from last week posing for group photos, etc. upright on her feet and seemingly doing well. Which is fine, I don't wish her any increase in problems with MS. My point is 1. she isn't at that stage of MS. 2. even if she was, Romney has $$$ to pay for household help 24/7.

He will make it his duty to oversee Trump until he leave office, doing everything he can to interfere and impugn him.

that seems very unlikely to me. I don't follow it closely these days but if Trump wins, I doubt we lose the Senate. I am still pissed that we lost the House, there was no reason for that. The Dems said if they won they would impeach, it is not a secret. The impeachment vote was made in 2018.

709 I believe this has been mentioned a few days ago, but the War Turtle has a tough job. As a senator, you have a healthy ego, and a lot of power. You must apply the stick and the carrot very judiciously with this group. As much as I regret my earlier support for Mutt, I know that we really have a razor-thin majority in the Senate, and if the Kavanaugh vote was any indication, we can never have too many Rs - not just to control the chairs, but to account for the weak-kneed soy people in the GOPe that are always persuadable by the media (e.g. Flake, Jeff).

We need to gain seats in Michigan and Alabama, and keep Maine and Arizona. The more senators we have in there, the less a vote like Mutt's matters.

Even if the Dems had held the Senate 53-47, they would need 14 Republican Senators to vote "guilty" as well.
