Repeat from last thread, but I think it is important. You know, she is almost 80 years old. I know some 80 year olds who have little in the way of physical or mental problems, but I know more 80 year olds who do have them. She was muttering , fidgeting, twisting things, looking through the speech, gesturing to people in the audience, checking her phone, and making all kinds of chewing, licking, twisted mouth motions, along with blinking. She's another ancient congress person who really has no business being in such an important position.
She is no different than great Aunt Gladys sitting four rows back in church, yelling Amen and talking loudly to the person next to her if they are going to lunch at Cracker Barrel. This behavior last night is no different than that. It's a loss of inhibitions, the ones that logic and decorum keep in check when the brain is working at 100%. But of course Romney lies:
"CLAIM: The president's lawyers said "there could be no impeachment without a statutory crime." VERDICT: FALSE. That is the opposite of what the president's lawyers argued before the Senate. Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) misquoted the White House counsel's argument in his speech in the Senate Wednesday explaining why he would vote to remove President Donald Trump from office. Romney said that one of the president's defenses was that "there could be no impeachment without a statutory crime." That is not, however, what the White House counsel argued. Alan Dershowitz presented the constitutional arguments against impeachment. He argued that a president had to commit "criminal-like" behavior even if there had been no statutory crime. Specifically, Dershowitz said that the Constitution required "criminal-like conduct akin to treason and bribery." Posted by: weft cut-loop at February 05, 2020 03:38 PM (VVbgV) 252

Pelosi gets "Yaz qweens!!" from the feminists and cable networks. Sinema stands up repeatedly to applaud Trump's accomplishments, and less than 24 hours votes to remove him from office.
We've been saying for years that Progs are psycho. Here's just one more example. Just think how much better off we'd be if we didn't have these imbeciles fucking around inside our government: the Mexican border would've have been secured decades ago. We wouldn't be forcibly mutilating children when they play-act at being the other sex. We wouldn't be killing hundreds of thousands of innocent babies every year. The budget would be balanced. We wouldn't have gay pedophiles in drag reading to kids. The poison of islam wouldn't be allowed anywhere in the US. Our educational system would teach the truth about life, not indoctrinate our young'uns into Communism. #WASTF Posted by: BackwardsBoy. #DemocratsSuck at February 05, 2020 04:05 PM (HaL55) 589

Watching the vote on the first vote, as I saw the roll call, I felt for the first tim e a burst of real hate for anyone with a D next to their name, plus Romney.
After the Dems behavior last night, I feel deep in my soul that they are truly enemies of the US, personally invested in the destruction of my personal freedom and my country. I believe they will stop at nothing in their lust for power and control. I believe every election from school board to President, is a Flight 93 election. I don't follow it closely these days but if Trump wins, I doubt we lose the Senate. I am still pissed that we lost the House, there was no reason for that. I believe this has been mentioned a few days ago, but the War Turtle has a tough job. As a senator, you have a healthy ego, and a lot of power. You must apply the stick and the carrot very judiciously with this group. As much as I regret my earlier support for Mutt, I know that we really have a razor-thin majority in the Senate, and if the Kavanaugh vote was any indication, we can never have too many Rs - not just to control the chairs, but to account for the weak-kneed soy people in the GOPe that are always persuadable by the media (e.g. Flake, Jeff).
We need to gain seats in Michigan and Alabama, and keep Maine and Arizona. The more senators we have in there, the less a vote like Mutt's matters. Posted by: Darrell Harris at February 05, 2020 04:27 PM (iuFgi) Posted by: Darrell Harris at February 05, 2020 04:35 PM (iuFgi) 711

Now, the President handed copies of the speech to the Vice President and the Speaker of the House. Correct me if I am wrong, but those should be official government records. She deliberately and wantonly destroyed them. Is that against the law? As the chief law enforcement officer, shouldn't he have a warrant be issued for her arrest?

Remember, the Dems needed 67 "guilties" to convict.
Even if the Dems had held the Senate 53-47, they would need 14 Republican Senators to vote "guilty" as well. For today's votes, they needed 20 Republicans to defect and vote "guilty." Was never going to happen. Posted by: Dan at February 05, 2020 06:26 PM (+NG5U) 719
