That was a great interview, worth looking up.
The part near the beginning where Rogan kept bringing up Hetfield's beekeeping and Hetfield just said something "if you REALLY want to talk about beekeeping, I can spend hours talking about it." was hilarious. Because they spent the next 30-40 minutes talking about bees.

Was reading an article earlier today about the testimony of the so-called star witness in his trial, a wannabe actress named Jessica Mann. She's the one who described his weird-looking junk on the stand last week. She admitted today that she gave him her new phone number 5 times, sent him affectionate e-mails, asked him to meet her mother, asked him for Oscar party invites, and other similar type stuff, all after he supposedly forcibly raped her. She also admitted that she was manipulative with him, because she wanted to use him to get work.
She comes off more as a "regret sex" accuser than anything else. She used sex (reluctantly, because Weinstein is gross) as a barter. It didn't work out the way she hoped, in that she never got any good parts, so she decided the sex was rape.
The other actress, Anabella somebody, was more compelling last week. But Weinstein is not charged with raping her, because her claim is too old. She was just a "similar acts that show a pattern" witness.
It'll be interesting to see how this case turns out.

I think that's the biggest flaw with the case. Yes, he was a predatory scumbag who raped and abused women. But they went along with it too much to be very sympathetic witnesses, and the jury is going to get real tired of "ew gross he like totally rapeted me" from women who kept going back over and over for jobs.

The sex-abuse problem in Hollywood has been known for ages, which means for most people who get abused, they go into the biz ready for quid-quo-pro. One reason so little comes of it is because most of the people who get abused want something out of it, and don't want to sabotage their relationships for a chance at killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. And who knows, perhaps in the trial it will come out that as f--d up as the stuff was, they wanted to do it so they could get rich and famous.

On the periphery, I didn't really notice the political messaging. I mean, no one screaming or yelling "f**k Trump"...its hard to get my attention with subtle anymore.

AL has a problem with that yeah, White Sox games used to tip 4 hours regularly. BUt generally they're done in 2 hours or less. People just bitch about Baseball taking a long time because tehy
a) don't understand enough of the game to appreciate what is going on
b) expect everything to be flashing lights and explosions like a Michael Bay production
c) Baseball doesn't fill in the blanks with "replays" of every single thing that happens to make it seem like amazing stuff is happening constantly.
