Steyn is terrible on the radio. Terrible.
I tried listening to him the other day and he was working into a rant, but couldn't find the word and kept doing *vocal pauses* which anyone with training in radio says DO NOT DO.
"When you get to, AH, the AH, the AH, AH, AH impeachment..."
Rush knows how to fill a pause. You can drum, rustle paper, but blurting out "AH!" really is annoying.
Rush does do vocal pauses, but only on purpose, to build anticipation, usually before he says something a little rique.
Steyn is fun to read, but he stumbles in the live format.

That's correct. The camera is sitting at gallery level.
If you watch CSpan during the recess times, the hosts mention at least once that the Senate is providing the audio and video because the Senate owns the cameras. Obviously they're getting phone calls and emails asking why the "CSpan cameras" aren't showing things from other angles.

It says something that even phoning it in, Rush has first-class skills behind the mic. Steyn also used to be a disk jockey, and he's fine when he's hopping from topic to topic or doing an interview, but when he tries to ad lib, he fails.

Was at a stoplight the other day. Driver comes screaming up from behind, cuts through traffic then makes a left turn against a red arrow.
Was waiting to pick someone up yesterday. Girl stops her car in a no parking ever zone, in front of the sign. Locks both her doors Walks across the street into a building. Even worse, her car was a good foot into the traffic lane.

My dog, who has been suffering from severe back pain in her lumbar region, just got up from her bed, went outside, wandered around the yard a bit, had a pee, and came back inside and lay down again. All without being prompted. She appears to walk almost normally again. Good sign.

My lab mix had a deteriating herniated disk in her lower back. She was way up there in age though, nearly 20yo before she passed. Like us, she had good days and bad. Made the most of the good when they came with play and short walks, like a puppy again, helped her get around out on the bad days.
There's a test the vet or you can do to see what stage any nerve damage might be at. Kind of like the rubber mallet and the knee for us. You take the dog's rear paw and gently try to curl it over longitudinally so it's top is touching the floor. A dog with no spinal nerve damage won't keep it there for even a fraction of a second. Based on that test they can prescribe steroids and other things that help a bit.

I think there's lots of smoking gun smell around both of those guys. Schiff, it's not just that he's bought and paid for by foreign governments, which he is, it's his sexual interests that are likely to come out sooner or later.

I'm not predicting anything, but it wouldn't surprise me at all, if a year or two from now, all of it is out in the open. The collusion with foreign governments, the sexual dystopia that is all up and down throughout the Democrat Party... not to mention the Deep State corruption.
That's what I'm hoping... and praying for.

The only taxes that should apply to real property should be to provide payment for services that benefit such property, or for capital expenditures (in the form of bond issues) that enhance the value of such property. These are the perpetual arguments that never get settled. Like I said, if you look inside the numbers, and not at the accumulated stats, his overall career is mediocre, and he was never an "above average" QB except possibly for a year or two.
I'm not sure how anyone measures the relative merits of a coach in any sport, other than the bottom line. Coughlin was a winner, for many years, and then he stopped being a winner, which is what most New Yorkers remember. He stopped being a winner at roughly the same time Eli went from being a mediocre QB to being atrocious. I don't think that's coincidence.

Even great pitchers who have less-than-stellar W-L records are cut slack if they have a low ERA throughout their career with crappy teams.
Football is different. QBs have to rely so much on their lines, their backs and their receivers. A guy misses a block, another guy drops a perfectly thrown pass. Or your best, most dependable receiver breaks an ankle--or shoots himself in the leg. Then, they often play for shitty coaches or offensive co-ordinators.
Manning had some shitty coaches the last couple years of his career, a crappy line, talented but flighty and often hurt receivers. He lost something, sure, but no one around him gave him any help.

Right, I know. QBs are quite dependent on the team around them... but then, so it is the other way around as well.
Funny thing about baseball stats though, it really DOES often depend on team, when it comes to defensive numbers. If you have a high strikeout pitching staff, your SS defense numbers are going to be lower. Or if you have a revolving door of crappy second basemen... or the field is not well maintained. All sorts of factors come into play.
And of course, if you play in a bandbox, your offensive numbers will be higher.

Yep. The asymptomatic period is 14 days. That's the problem. It can be spread via small water drops in the air after a cough and get in the eyes. The Chinese government has admitted this. So that's a problem when you can infect people for 14 days without showing symptoms.
Sounds extremely nasty and I have no doubt China would entomb the entire Wuhan area, but they instead worried about containing the news rather than the virus so it got a big headstart.

Acquittal will be by a healthy margin. "Free votes" for Dems voting "not guilty" aren't even needed, but may occur - if any Dems actually think they need it.
No consequences seem likely for Dems participating in this disgrace. House side, might be different story. Impeachment farce might play in re-election of freshmen in "Trump districts". More likely though that simple "presidential effect" on turnout in those districts will be as important (in unseating them) as any specific marginal impact of impeachment votes.

Especially since they all wear the same kind of form-fitting pants. I've watched curling for decades, and it wasn't like that up until maybe a decade or so ago.
I also recall when most Canadian curlers playing at the major tournaments (men and women) were people who had other jobs. "Curler" was not a full-time job like it can be today. That also meant there were a lot more overweight curlers. A few of the best Canadian curlers back in the 80s were obese.

I'm not trying to win an argument. Dismissing the facts that the ChiComs have developed this in a lab, level 4 bio security and decontamination isn't up to par in China, and the Chinese Government was so quick to identify the virus which was novel and unknown yet cataloged and logged so people could study it. Cataloged and logged meaning it was man made in 2018-2019.
My eyes are dead from phonefagging 30 hours straight digging and reading. Enjoy your weekend.
