Former Clinton WH Spokesman and Current CNN "Analyst:" Okay I Just Flat-Out Lied About Overhearing GOP Senators Talking About How Great the Democrats' Case Was, But That's Okay Because It Was "A Joke" and Also You're All Liars

This was the same sissybully who tattletaled to Twitter and the Senate that Ted Cruz's Twitter account was tweeting during the impeachment trial.

And now the fat bloated stupid bitch is just lying.

First he tweeted:

Overheard convo between two Republican Senators who only watch Fox News. "is this stuff real? I haven't heard any of this before. I thought it was all about a server. If half the stuff Schiff is saying is true, we're up shit's creek. Hope the White House has exculpatory evidence

Then, after his lie got 4600 retweets, and he was undoubtedly contacted by Twitter "Journalists" to Discover More About These Senators Who Only Watch FoxNews, he decided he should admit he was telling a "joke."

Okay I made up that convo, but you know that's exactly what they're thinking

Newsbuster wonders if CNN will discipline one of its alleged "journalists" for putting out lies disguised as reportage.

It remains to be seen whether Lockhart will be censured by the upstanding network that employs him, but don't hold your breath. Lockhart was on CNN’s New Day Thursday morning after his tweets blew up, and was not asked about them once. So much for #FactsFirst.

CNN is affirmative pro-lying so no, don't hold your breath. The question isn't whether CNN will give him a censure, but whether CNN will give him a bonus.

But they also maintain an Elite Deplatforming Division that pressures social media companies to ban those they claim are "spreading misinformation" or "conspiracy theories."

While also employing admitted liars.

Wow: I didn't know this, or I completely forgot this, but this isn't Joe Lockhart's first attempt at pumping lies into the national discussion.

Dagwood noted in a comment that Lockhart had been an eager little assistant in pushing out the Bush TANG forged military records:

On September 8, 2004, CBS News aired a controversial report on presidential candidate George W. Bush's military record. The authenticity of the Killian documents used in that report are under scrutiny. In the course of the next few days, it was discovered that Joseph Lockhart, then senior advisor to presidential candidate John Kerry, had made a phone call to Texas National Guard officer, Bill Burkett on September 4, 2004.[8][9] Lockhart stated later that an unnamed female CBS producer asked him to contact Burkett.[8][9] Lockhart has denied that the call with Burkett had anything to do with the National Guard issue.[9]

That's from Wikipedia.

Why should he be censured? What he did is no worse - and may be far better - than what Schiff did to the US House of Representatives he read that fake transcript into the record.

Schiff wasn't censured. Schiff is now talking the ears off of the Senate and receiving all the "glory" of impeachment.

If Schiff is the model, then Lockhart will probably be a CNN board member by the end of CNN's next fiscal quarter.

196 So, just an HQ-centric observation.

During the Kavanaugh farce, we brought Pixy to its knees. We were routinely hitting a thousand comments per thread and the boss was having to throw up basically empty posts just to keep moving through. They had to add resources to the platform to get load times to come down and help prevent things from just stopping.

During this farce, volumes look more or less normal to me - a few more 500-ish threads than usual, but overall it doesn't look a lot busier than an ordinary week. And the threads aren't all that focused on the affair itself, unlike the Kavanaugh confirmation battle.

If this is any indication (and I have no clue at all if it is), this impeachment thing really isn't moving the needle - not even here...

262 Backdraft's greatest weakness is that the worst and least talented of the Baldwin brothers gets too much screen time. He's the weak point in the casting but was probably forced on the director by the studios.

At least when I went down there in the 90s, Universal Studios amusement park (still had the Miami Vice show, heh) had a backdraft feature that showed how they did some of the fire effects and talked about various aspects of fire and danger filming the movie. This host (politics and current affairs show) demanded that it be turned toward him and placed so that he could see himself at all times. We had to make do with an old, small, black-and-white monitor for floor operations during his tapings.

It means someone "verified" by Twitter as actually being a specific "famous" person. They also are protected more than regular tweeters, with bans being thrown out more readily if you upset one, etc. In theory this lets someone like Tom Hanks have a twitter account and everyone knows its really him (not that he has one, as far as I know) instead of an imposter or satire account.

The thing is, I can't figure out what it takes to qualify, because really REALLY obscure nobodies get "verified." People less famous than me like "councilmember of Bumplook Arkansas" and "aspiring rapper with one Youtube video"

There can be weird acoustics in buildings that have domes, especially oval type domes, because sound will bounce from one focal point to the other. I was in a building that had that characteristic, and a person was whispering at one focal point, and I could hear him from the other focal point like he was a half a foot away.

They will also "verify" people who are controversial. For example, that high school girl who wore an Oriental-style dress to her prom who because the target of much scorn and attack over "cultural appropriation." This is to help defend their accounts, etc.

I think the *absence* of the blue check says a lot. For example, Julie Kelly doesn't get one and she's prolific on the platform like most journalists and also independently reputable and holds a major position at an opposition conservative outlet (American Greatness). By any standard, she should have the check. She doesn't.

It could. If it turns out to run out of control and have the lethality of, say, the 1918 flu outbreak, then negative economic consequences are basically a given in light of a total humanitarian disaster like that.

If it isn't that bad, then some sectors may well hurt (like travel or tourism, especially in affected regions or through gigantic hubs).

I haven't read the NYT article and I probably won't, but they *really* want a recession. Any excuse - even one that kills scores of millions due to virulent and unstoppable outbreak - will do.

Which reminds me I've never watched Storyville. I was sitting 3 feet from Spader for the first 5 takes they did of the scene shot at the Cafe du Monde across from Jackson Square. Was alone, they seated me at the table right next to the one where he was - reflectors and cameras were on a different side, so he said hi and probably assumed I knew not to say anything during the scene.

They had to keep stopping their takes because Spader would start sneezing from the powdered sugar on the beignets (he took a bite as the female co-star walked up). A waiter finally came over with a water spray bottle, sprayed the beignets, they looked the same, but he didn't sneeze any more.

459 These leftist cretins think they're so clever, but they commit some of the most fundamental blunders over and over and over. A classic example can be found in this guy's original tweet:

"Overheard convo between two Republican Senators who only watch Fox News. ..."

In this case, your lie provides ancillary information that you couldn't possibly know. But since this ancillary information isn't the central poijt of the lie, you think you can get away with it -- or more precisely, it doesn't occur to you that if you are obviosuly lying about an irrelevant detail then you must also be lying about the main point. This is the exact type of blunder that stupid people and little children make when lying.

Examples:

Halfway decent lie:

"A dog ate my homework."

Stupid lie:

"A talking purple dog ate my homework."

This buffoon's tweet is in the "talking purple dog" category.

And one of the great firefighting nations. There's a reason we go there to help and they come here to help when shit goes really bad.

If you have a wildland fire, you want America, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Russia involved. Regardless of what's going on, the Big 5 band together for bad fire.

Except the gigantic fires in Canada a couple of years ago, where they refused American firefighting assistance - something I didn't (and still don't) understand. Wild fire is no joke and can easily outstrip national resources and expertise when they get really bad. There's a reason the five firefighting nations team up so readily. This year, it's Australia. Next year it could easily be us.

They have expertise. They don't usually come here unless things are *really* bad. Canada and Mexico are far closer.
