Paul Sperry: Eric Ciaramella Openly Schemed With Fellow Joe Biden Holdover to "Take the President Out," From the Very Moment They Were Briefed on Trump's "America First" Foreign Policy

"Thick as thieves."

Two NSC co-workers told RCI that they overheard Ciaramella and Misko - who was also working at the NSC as an analyst - making anti-Trump remarks to each other while attending a staff-wide NSC meeting called by then-National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, where they sat together in the south auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, part of the White House complex.

The "all hands" meeting, held about two weeks into the new administration, was attended by hundreds of NSC employees.

"They were popping off about how they were going to remove Trump from office. No joke," said one ex-colleague, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive matters.

A military staffer detailed to the NSC, who was seated directly in front of Ciaramella and Misko during the meeting, confirmed hearing them talk about toppling Trump during their private conversation, which the source said lasted about one minute. The crowd was preparing to get up to leave the room at the time.

"After Flynn briefed [the staff] about what 'America first' foreign policy means, Ciaramella turned to Misko and commented, 'We need to take him out,' " the staffer recalled. "And Misko replied, 'Yeah, we need to do everything we can to take out the president.'"

Added the military detailee, who spoke on condition of anonymity: "By 'taking him out,' they meant removing him from office by any means necessary. They were triggered by Trump’s and Flynn’s vision for the world. This was the first 'all hands' [staff meeting] where they got to see Trump’s national security team, and they were huffing and puffing throughout the briefing any time Flynn said something they didn’t like about 'America First'."

He said he also overheard Ciaramella telling Misko, referring to Trump, "We can't let him enact this foreign policy.'"

Alarmed by their conversation, the military staffer immediately reported what he heard to his superiors.

"It was so shocking that they were so blatant and outspoken about their opinion," he recalled. "They weren't shouting it, but they didn’t seem to feel the need to hide it."

The co-workers didn’t think much more about the incident.

“We just thought they were wacky,” the first source said. “Little did we know.”

Neither Ciaramella nor Misko could be reached for comment.

Instapundit notes that Democrats have taken to calling all inconvenient facts "conspiracy theories."

On Tuesday, Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) told quite the whopper by claiming Republicans have been spreading a "weird conspiracy theory" that Democrats wanted to impeach Donald Trump since he was inaugurated.

"What I found astounding was they're still saying that we were out to get the president from day one, some sort of a weird conspiracy theory that I have to say, even [Supreme Court Justice Brett] Kavanaugh brought up," Hirono said on MSNBC.

The Democrats' use of the term "conspiracy theory" to describe all claims they don't like is more malicious than it seems.

The Democrats have schemed with social media monopolies to censor all "conspiracy theories" and deplatform all persons "spreading conspiracy theories."

So when a Democrat labels any political statement a "conspiracy theory," they are taking the first step towards censoring that statement and punishing anyone who dares express it.

11 I read the expose earlier today. Riveting stuff: Watergate mostly worked because leftists had complete media control and no one saw through the lies. Now Trump is having the entire sordid scam exposed. The entire impeachment process couldn't survive Ciamarella being exposed, which is of course why the media is treating him as James Bond, whose true identity Must Not be Exposed.

For the Republicans to betray their nation as all this comes out, they would have to consciously betray the Republic. We aren't there, at least not to 67% of the Senate.

While I dislike this kind of "sources say" thing, I am perplexed by this statement. The article excerpt doesn't say what his superiors said about it - just what his peers said about it.

That notwithstanding, if this is true, wouldn't it make this anonymous "detailee" a ... whistle-blower? If he had this, why *didn't* he use "whistle-blower" protections when his superiors (assumedly) did nothing.

I have no trouble believing that this occurred, despite the "sources say" stuff - but why not run it all the way up? It isn't the committee's right to determine foreign policy. If they don't like it, they can quit but they can't "take out" the President because they disagree with him. That's bald-faced conspiracy against the President, isn't it? Isn't that worthy of a "whistle-blower" filing?

I think that Trump was also unprepared for Washington when it comes to personnel. He comes from industry, where your subordinates, even those with serious quantities of power, do what they're told and move in the mandated direction. Or they quit. They don't stick around to execute hostile internal toppling of the boss. If they do try this (it does happen, of course), it usually doesn't work and they get shit-canned.

I really don't think Trump - with his industrial background instead of political - was prepared for just how dishonest and awful these people are.

44 Some basic confusion here.

Schedule C, or "political" appointees, make up a small part of the NSC - been a long time since I've perused the "plum book" that lists all the positions, not sure NSC has any political appointees below the top level. It's mostly detailees from various agencies.

Trump or any president cannot "fire" any significant % of the federal workforce simply because they want to.

Close. Remember, the State Dept, the Vianovich's (Sacked Ukraine Amb) etc., are all "professional" employees of the gov't and can put their personal feelings aside to do what's right for the U.S.

That is the bigger issue - is that these people actually believe we believe that B.S. Everyone has biases to their own beliefs. It's those who act upon it but then claim they are just "professionals."

In the end, America First would lead to hurt feelings. But more importantly, these ambassador / foreign relation types would lose juice and/or make their counterparts aware that they did not possess the "pull" they had been telling their counterparts they had.

Now de-platforming is built into the code and EULA that nobody reads.

One of the most vile instance of de-platforming married to Orewellean language was PayPal deplatforming people like Jones and citing the reason as MOB or Manifest Observable Behavior.

Whereby you didn't even have to violate terms of service or EULAs but could be banned for observable behavior the company deems in violation of THEIR subjective standard of permissible behavior.

112 It's taken 3 years for Trump to finally begin to appreciate just how much corruption was inside the Executive Branch, including his own White House. It's going to take a 2nd term before he finally begins to get a handle on it. Priebus came up - have you noticed how he has now disappeared completely? What a total piece of shit he was.

AND I remember right at the beginning, Trump was betrayed by Chris Christie. Starting from the convention, Trump had tapped Christ Christie to start working on a transition team, to make a full list of appointments that could be done quickly. Christie was supposed to have the contacts to be able to do this. Well, a couple weeks after the election, Trump finally was informed that Christie had instead packed all of his choices with Christ Christie sycophants and cronies, so that he would have a huge amount of influence over Trump. So, Trump dumped Christie and threw Christi's appointment list into the trash - but that meant starting from scratch barely 6 weeks before inauguration.

Some parts of the mess (like Spygate) are a conspiracy, but the overall effect of the "deep state" is not. It is just a lot of people who all move in generally the same direction and believe it is their right to do anything they want against (in this case) the bad orange man.

150 This is true, but only as far as it goes. Trump is a braggart. He loves being rich and powerful and boasts about it a lot.

He doesn't, however, strike me as an elitist. He doesn't come off as "I'm much better than you. Just look at me. If I weren't great, I wouldn't be here. If you were great, you'd be here, too. Since you're not, you're clearly sub-par and need me to tell you how to live."

You can be elite without being an elitist. And you can be an elitist without being elite - just look at NT right and the mainstream press.

152 Federal workers protected by civil service laws more than unions. Not sure unions really are meaningful on that issue.

Posted by: rhomboid at January 22, 2020 12:13 PM

---

Federal labor unions have zero power. The only thing that can "bargain" for is working conditions. They can't strike (thanks Reagan), negotiate for pay or any other benefits. Everyone thinks they are a big boogey man, but they are literally powerless. If you get a job in a bargaining unit they can't make you pay union dues you have to opt in and the vast majority of people never pay a cent in union dues.

They literally have no money to do anything with and Trump just killed their golden goose by making them use their vacation time to conduct union business and he took away all of the freebies like free office spaces and computers and the like. Now if they want to keep them, they have to pay their Agency rent for those spaces and equipment. Most of them that my wife deals with just gave back all of their stuff instead of paying for it.

My wife has dealt with Federal unions for nearly 20 years now. All they are is an annoyance for management if they let them get their goat.

In a true Party-State system, the Triangle of Power and Hate has its vertices at the Party, the Organs (IC and their captive media), and the Army.

We haven't quite reached a true Party-State system yet. But we're close, and we will. The Army doesn't have a great deal of pull at this time. So it's just a line from the Party to the Organs.

This is why people perceive the IC as disproportionally powerful - it is.

Some years ago I had a friend who worked at a small Air Force Base, I will call it See More Johnson AFB (because that's not how it's name is spelled so nobody will get it), supposedly the chief of HR happened to attend a local church and after several years somebody not with that church noticed that everybody hired in the last several years just happened to go to that same church. Coincidentally, at a nearby Army installation, let's call it Fort Named After a CW General, a similar thing was going on. But Fort What's His Name, being much larger, makes it harder to hire every relative and friend you have - you will run out of friends long before you run out of jobs. Don't know if Fort Whatchamacallit has been figured out yet.

Well there are degrees. Lets say you're in the white house when Obama takes over and wants to "fundamentally transform" America into a socialist paradise/tyranny. Working on a way to get that guy out of office would not be something awful.

And in fact wanting to get a president out of office is kind of the job of the opposing party. Its how and why you want it to happen that is the problem.

Lying, inventing nonsense, twisting words, etc... that's bad and that's wrong. Just wanting him out of office, that's normal. I wanted Obama out of office the first moment he stepped into it.

266 Off topic and not that it matters...

When on vacation the other week in St. Martin, I thought I was having another heart attack. Woke up with a pain in the left arm, very similar to how it felt when I had my original attack.

After half a day, the arm/shoulder was still hurting so we went to the medical center on the Dutch side, which was better than the one on the French side where we were staying.

The emergency entrance looked like a check cashing store. Locked door, thick glass and a receptionist you have to talk to before you're buzzed in.

$200 cash gets you in the door. I was wired up, got an EKG and they did a full work up on blood. Everything was fine (East Indian doctor who was really nice) then you go out into another holding area where you pay the balance due ($381) before being buzzed out.

Pretty cheap considering what this would cost anywhere in the States.

I find it great fun to talk about the alleged photos of Schiff, but
until there's some evidence I don't fool myself into actually believing
that. It'd be a fun thing to try and get those two elderly black women
mentioned earlier in the thread to believe, though. And Millenials,
it'd probably be easy to talk millenials into believing it.

Schiff has a collection of associates including a pedo Dr. and, of course, Ed Buck. When I ask myself, How many pedos do I associate with on a routine basis?, the answer is zero. When I ask myself, what would I do if I caught wind of pedo activity of someone I knew?, the answer is turn their ass in to the police and ensure the child is in protective custody, if necessary.
There is some there, there, I believe, and it is a matter of time before we see it come out.

Also, I spent some time in CenLA. Loved LA.

When Mike Hammer discovers that Charlotte Bennett murdered his war time Buddy (who had saved Hammer, and lost his arm in the process) Hammer confronts her with the information he's uncovered: she was the intruder who murdered Jack Williams. Charlotte attempts to seduce Hammer and kill him with a hidden gun but he beats her to it while they embrace, shooting her in cold blood. With her dying breath, Dr. Bennett asks Hammer "How could you?" Using the famous closing line from Spillane's original novel, Hammer responds "It was easy."

True enough. Good cold post-war toughness.

The difference between that and Maltese Falcon, though, is that Sam Spade doesn't particularly *like* his partner Miles Archer, and in fact has been cuckolding Miles with Miles's wife. Spade is not the prototypical tarnished knight. His armor has some big holes in it. But he does the right thing in the end.

Much to everyone's surprise, but his own.

Sam Spade was supposed to be what every private detective imagined himself to be. Tough, smart, always able to get the better of everyone he went up against, be they cop, crook or broad.

The Maltese Falcon is really good but Red Harvest and the Glass Key feel more real.

After 2016 who the hell pays attention to polls?

-------

This is a salient question.

I have known since I was a small boy, when my father (who is well-versed in stats explained the way the game is played to me), that public polling units are corrupt and inefficient, and by design never produce an accurate result until it's absolutely necessary.

I think most people instinctively caught on to that in 2016 when the public polling units didn't even bother with their usual song-and-dance routine.

But let's put it aside. Let's pretend, using a Golden Gate-sized suspension of disbelief, that they're honest and competent.

What does honest, competent polling matter?

The answer is: not a whit.

After that polling disaster, the years 2016-2020 have belied the basic predicate of polling as an industry. And that predicate is that public opinion matters.

Vote for whoever you want... it doesn't mean shit. Why do we still measure it?

304 112 It's taken 3 years for Trump to finally begin to appreciate just how much corruption was inside the Executive Branch, including his own White House.
