Not much to report. Made one more M1 convert at the range last week - this time an older guy, not a young'n. He and the guy doing his 3rd day of "ride-along" RO training with our crew (somewhat younger, not young), who is a firearms instructor with an outfit that trains state prison guards etc., were both giggly about it. Not much to report. Made one more M1 convert at the range last week - this time an older guy, not a young'n. He and the guy doing his 3rd day of "ride-along" RO training with our crew (somewhat younger, not young), who is a firearms instructor with an outfit that trains state prison guards etc., were both giggly about it. Older one promised to check into the CMP immediately.

Isn't the real "fashion" change in tiny things like this - pleats, lapel width, tie width, etc.? This bizarre crap at fashion shows has no connection to any commercial reality. Don't keep up, but these little marginal things were all that changed back/forth back when I had to do more clothes shopping.

When I was last there (2003), there were swarms of Japanese schoolgirls, but they were dressed more like stewardesses than like sailor girls. It was white blouses over modest navy blue skirts and matching criss-cross neckties.
I discussed this in the last couple of years with my brother who takes his family there regularly for vacations. My brother said that Hawaii has been swarmed with Japanese tourists, including what looks like school field trips, since he first was stationed there in the 1990s.

On a more serious note, I am not sure these people understand, and I'm quite certain that some in the woke set don't comprehend, that they exist ONLY because we tolerate them. For most of the Western world, it's been two generations now since there was any threat posed by the men with guns, and for most in the US, it's been a century and a half. So they forget that the men with guns exist. But exist we do, and these people should thank their lucky stars that we prefer peace and the rule of law to the alternative. Because in that alternative world, there isn't much room for this kind of silliness, or gender pronouns, or safe spaces.

The girls had it tough at my Catholic high school (63-67). The sisters would make them kneel and their skirts had to touch the ground or they got sent home.
Girls would pass inspection and then roll their waist area up an inch to show their knees. The funniest thing was when a girl would show up for school out of uniform with a note from a parent excusing them. The school would go along with it but the funny thing was, the clothing would always be WAY different from the blue skirt, white blouse uniform.
Boys couldn't wear pants with brads (jeans). We had it easy.

80's kid. Wranglers - they sold 'em at the Dollar Store back then. Tee shirt - but not a concert shirt, because you had to have the money to go to the show back then. Chuck Taylors if I had time to go home before work, or work boots if I didn't. Dollar Store flannel over the tee if it was cold.

I managed to talk my way out of a few beatings in my past. I've never really been in a physical fight. Seems like I'm missing a punch hole in my man card. Now I'm 54 and not in great health so I don't think it would go well.
