It would also mean the end of Obama's Corrupt Collusion with Iran.Boris Johnson says that if the old Obama deal is finished, then it's time to get on board with "the Trump deal." British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview Tuesday that he welcomed replacing the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal with a new agreement negotiated by President Trump. "If we're going to get rid of it, let's replace it and let's replace it with the Trump deal," Johnson told BBC, referencing the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.I'm not sure the current Iranian regime will even be around in a year. By the way: Iran is making impotent threats about snapback sanctions. RUMORS THAT #IRAN WILL SHUT DOWN STRAIT OF HORMUZ IF SNAPBACK SANCTIONS ARE ENFORCED UNDER JCPOA.Well, you can try. And speaking of access to the sea -- how long do you think your main seaport, Kharg Island, would remain unbombed if you tried that? How are you going to get your oil out -- or your gasoline in? (Iran doesn't have the capability of producing its own gasoline from oil. They silly savages have to import it.) Fun fun fun. Speaking as a citizen of the largest oil producing country in the world: I could give an eff if you did shut down the Strait of Hormuz. Gasoline would go up a nickel per gallon. For a month. Not something that's going to crash our economy. But what is Iran going to do without Kharg Island? Below, more protests -- and Iran is responding in its usual way, slaughtering people.

For the same reason you arm a soldier in a war. And, these days (unlike then), Iran is on the other side. That's why we don't want them to have nukes. Jeez. Are you dumb or something? Prior to his election to Congress, Brian followed in his father's footsteps by serving in the U.S. Army for more than 12 years, earning medals including The Bronze Star Medal, The Army Commendation Medal for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal, and The Defense Meritorious Service Medal. While deployed in Afghanistan, he worked as a bomb disposal expert under the elite Joint Special Operations Command. The last improvised explosive device that he found resulted in catastrophic injuries, which included the loss of both of his legs. . . Brian remained on active duty following the injuries and provided expertise to the National Nuclear Security Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms during his recovery process. After his retirement from the Army, he continued working in counter-terrorism and national defense as an Explosive Specialist with the Department of Homeland Security. Brian subsequently received a degree from Harvard University and volunteered to serve alongside the Israel Defense Forces to show support for the freedom Israel represents throughout the Middle East and the world. 378, rhennigantx, you would be correct but easier still is an improvised shotgun as it is much lower pressure than a typical 9mm and thus easier not to be maimed at the other end.
Occasionally, the police in less free areas of the world have displays of people's ingenuity in constructing off the books firearms. The images and reports make it pretty easy to do if one was so inclined. As long as you don't mess around with stuff that has the ATF excited , cough full auto, you can legally make and retain such hardware store firearms if your state laws allow it. Generally speaking for garage firearms, metal is preferable to polymer as sheet metal is everywhere as is steel tubing and pipes. Polymer requires molds etc. and proper supply of the right stuff absent 80 percent type already made or the kits for making your own. Requires a certain level of skill for design and molding. Folding steel simply requires a hammer, form, rivets, and a bit of welding and cutting tools. Easy peasy. Magazines are a bit tougher than single shots as the tolerance for reliable use are a bit more difficult. Posted by: whig at January 14, 2020 02:58 PM (EUDB2) 443
My favorite part of all of this is that the left (and by this I"m mostly going on the political portions of reddit), are going crazy by yelling about how Trump is starting to warmonger just like Bush did and they're all "don't let him try to drag us into another war in the middle east!" It's just so laughably false, that Trump (and his supporters) don't want to get into another war, but they're so convinced that they know how things work that they're bending over backwards to support Iran to try to prevent a war from happening.

Do we get any appreciable amounts from the ME anymore? Fracking has pretty much eliminated any need for imports from that part of the world, I should think.
We do, BUT... The Saudis have untapped pipeline capacity that goes to Red Sea terminals and there is vast untapped productive capacity in the fracking fields. This is just not a big deal for us any longer. And I'd like to see what Iran would do without exports for a month or so. Posted by: AZ Hi Desert (Gringo fuertemente armado) at January 14, 2020 02:57 PM (OakTv) +++++++++++++ California and New England still import foreign oil. They have to. California doesn't allow pipelines, and it's cheaper to import it than truck it from terminals. Same for New England - they're blocked by NY not permitting pipelines to traverse and so it gets shipped in. We don't need to important oil on a supply basis, but some regions and states do import because domestic supply can't reach them (usually for political reasons). Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) 478, Jean, simply buy Sten magazines as they are pretty common in that case. Haven't studied the Mac10 mags but they are also pretty available.
Polymer mags would not be my choice for semi-auto or other legal makes (closed bolt required for making one here by ATF--otherwise possessing an open bolt firearm is a crime) due to heat in the chamber from the design. Full auto open bolts dissipate the heat better which is why the ATF banned it as something readily convertible to full auto (unless you have a licensed receiver of course). 516, While one can go old school and do cut rifling, it is pretty difficult to maintain a long rifle barrel for any sort of accuracy and safety without practice and knowledge.
Making a rifle barrel is pretty involved and requires quite a bit of knowledge of metallurgy and mechanics to work effectively. You want to do it, pick up Lock, Stock, and Barrel book that explains how rifled black powder muskets were made step by step so you can do it yourself. A short length rifled pistol barrel is easier for the average person to make as long distance accuracy is generally not as needed and picking the right cartridge may have pretty low pressure containment requirements such as the .45 ACP, .38 SPC, etc. If having an off books firearm is so important, go black powder or antiques pre-1898 as neither require going through an FFL in most states. Improperly constructed, a homemade firearm is simply a large pipe bomb that is equally probable of maiming at either end. Even most machinists, generally design and make single shots followed by bolt actions rather than semi-auto. Full autos are illegal without proper licensing and the definition is rather broad. Thus, fine line between a malfunctioning semi-auto and full-auto except you cannot blame the manufacturer for the defect if you made the firearm. Contest terms: * Design a safe new nuclear power plant using abundant fuel (such as thorium or the other salts) with minimal exotic fuel * New power plant must be a breeder that help create new fuel. * New power plant must accommodate goal gassification, preferably using process heat * New power plant should not be easily useful for dual-purpose atomic pursuits (e.g., great at power, miserable and weapons enrichment). It's highly amusing to ask one of them what they think of bison. You know, the ones that the Evil Patriarchy wiped out? That should be good for a ten minute rant about Destroying Nature. Then you point out that the land formerly inhabited by bison is now used to graze beef cattle, a species so closely related to bison that they can actually interbreed. Then watch them struggle to explain why cows bad, bison good. Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia at January 14, 2020 03:28 PM (qUFPp) 605
I guess this is another King Midas moment for the Jug Eared One.
Posted by: Murrican Ninja War Eeyore at January 14, 2020 03:24 PM (xptlg) I would not call it a King Midas moment, that would mean that what he touched turned to gold. I would say it was a King Fecas moment, everything he touched turned to shit. Posted by: Scuba Dude at January 14, 2020 03:28 PM (Oq/TM) 606

JoeMannix,
I would have specific locations with a breeder reactor rather than design each power station as a breeder. They have a bit more tricky design than a standard unit. Thorium is the other fuel source that could provide other nations with power without worrying about easy conversion of material to nukes if we were serious about reducing carbon emissions. The Star Wars "Cantina Music" was about the most stereotypically white attempt at something hep and unknown I had ever heard, outside the Lawrence Welk show, so, partial credit for that.

Maybe I am wrong about this, but I do believe that if the Dems had just shrugged and said, okay, fine, Cankles lost, and not gone completely round the bend cray cray, Trump would have been a squish.
