Ayatollah Khameini Cries Like a Bitch Over Suleimani's Casket, Blubbers Something About Revenge

Cry:

Weeping amid wails from a crowd of hundreds of thousands of mourners, Iran’s supreme leader Monday prayed over the remains of a top Iranian general killed in a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad, an attack that’s drastically raised tensions between Tehran and Washington.

The targeted killing of Gen. Qassem Suleimani already has seen his replacement vow to take revenge. Additionally, Tehran has abandoned the remaining limits of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers in response to the slaying, In Iraq, the parliament has called for the expulsion of all American troops from Iraqi soil.

The developments could bring Iran closer to building a nuclear bomb or set off a proxy or military attack launched by Tehran against America and enable Islamic State to stage a comeback in Iraq, making the Middle East a far more dangerous and unstable place.

...

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself prayed over the caskets of Suleimani and others slain in the attack. Khamenei, who had a close relationship with Suleimani, wept at one point during the traditional Muslim prayers for the dead. The crowd wailed.

Trump responded to the Iran-dominated Iraq parliament's nonbinding resolution demanding the US leave Iraq with a threat for Iraq, too:

Adding to the tensions, President Trump threatened to demand billions of dollars in compensation from Iraq or impose "sanctions like they've never seen before" if it goes through with expelling U.S. troops.

Below: A hilarious flight back to Teheran for the Quds terrorists.

The media continues grieving:

171 One of the things that bugs me about our Press' behavior is a matter of principle. We like to rip on the cucks about principles, but they're actually important.

What is the press' principle on this?

Exhibit 1:
* Obama has an embassy attacked in Libya, does nothing. The press was on board with the action.
* Trump has an embassy attacked in Iraq, ramps up deployment and sends in the military to defend the installation. The press argues that that this is an escalation

There is a consistent principle here, so no problem. The principle espoused is "don't defend out embassies." Bad principle, but principle nonetheless.

Exhibit 2:
* Obama wages outright war on Libya, collapsing the regime. The press is enthusiastic about it.
* Trump declines to escalate a war with Syria. The press declares him a traitor.

What is the principle here? War is good?

Exhibit 3:
* Obama assassinated bin Laden in a daring raid. The press was enthusiastic to extreme degrees.
* Trump assassinated al-Baghdadi in a daring raid. The press was thoroughly opposed, to the point of writing hagiographies about al-Baghdadi.

Same question: what is the principle here? Is assassinating key terror leaders good or bad?

Exhibit 4:
* Obama routinely assassinated terrorists, some of whom were American citizens, via drone strikes. Obama declared that these were dangerous men who were plotting against Americans. The press basically didn't cover it at all. Where they did cover it, it was encouraging and helpful. When covered, it was war coverage.
* Trump kills a uniformed military officer of a belligerant power who was involved in attacking an embassy, the IED strategy that slaughtered American servicemen, and who per the administration was plotting against Americans. The press has denounced the president, claimed his actions are illegal assassinations and written hagiographies about the victim. Coverage is extensive, and is political coverage and not war coverage.

Again, no principle here that I can identify. Is targeted killing good or bad?

The press are enemies of the country, period. They lie all the time. When they don't lie, they're uninformed and wrong. Despite their track record of deceit and failure, they fall back on their "principles" to describe their reportage.

Where are those principles? What are they? Who articulated them? I know I'm just some nobody, but it appears to me that the only principle they have is "glorify the state, destroy anyone opposed to the state." There is a subordinate principle of "glorify Democrats, destroy Republicans" but I think this is secondary.

I hate these people with an undying, burning passion.

My guess is that Kerry was working to set up protests all across Iraq to "spontaneously" erupt at some event, but the Iranians had other ideas and saw another embassy they could take over and get hostages from.

Its even possible Kerry nudged them toward that, with the caveat that the Democrat nominee would "negotiate" the release of hostages at the end of the election season.

Went to the local liquor store when I was a younger man. A kid, I'd guess about 16, walks in and dumps a bag of change on the counter. He says, "how much beer can I buy with this?"

Proprietor counted it out, told him, sold it, and the kid went on his merry way.

IIRC, Rashida Jones (Quincy Jones' daughter) co-wrote the screenplay.
Using 'people of color' is funny, since toys are very colorful - purple, green, etc.
Also, you just know that if they used obviously ethnic voice actors (see: Transformers) these same critics would call it racist.

Dammit. I hate to see this.

The Woke Folk already destroyed "problematic" for the next generation or two. It because a simple keyword you could skip over.

Now this asshole uses "bothersome" to make sure he doesn't use "problematic" and thus cause people to skip over whatever bullshit he's bitching about.

I imagine they're working out synonyms now and will try them. I am going to bet that "troubling" or "troublesome" will be the next word to be tossed onto the ash heap of Woke overuse, but time will tell.

And if you heard McConnell's speech on the Senate floor last Friday where he specifically said there will be no trial until Nancy delivers the Articles you would agree. It's not a prediction. The Senate Majority Leader has already made his ruling.

Posted by: JackStraw at January 06, 2020 02:21 PM (ZLI7S)

Here is how I think this is going down. Mitch's position is that the Senate will follow the existing rules. The existing rules say that the trial proceedings begin with the House Impeachment Managers showing up to present the Articles.

He has been daring Schumer to make him change the rules. He has been pretty clearly implying that if they change the rules, they are changing ALL the rules.

I think that this week Schumer and Pelosi are going to agree that the trial starts on the 13th. Under the existing rules.

And then the real fun begins, as the Senate will be in session 6 days a week. And all Senators have to be in attendance. And are forbidden to speak.

This entire idea that there could be a trial without the Articles was an internet conspriacy theory based on the idea that McConnell secretly hated Trump and would use this exciting new idea of a trial without charges to remove Trump. ==========

He's desperate to be useful. He's been useful to Andy for years, and suddenly with Bonnie he's stuck in the closet. He can't accept that, not out of jealousy (like in the first movie) but simply because he doesn't know a life other than service to a kid.

The movie is about him moving beyond that and learning to live for himself after a lifetime of giving all of his energies to children. It's a metaphor for parenthood and letting kids go after they leave the house.

561 Iran has been hitting civilians around the world for decades.

Decades.

They and their proxies deliberately attack civilians, and incite sectarian and tribal conflict. For many years.

"Tensions" are based on relentless criminal aggression by Iran's brutal regime and its attempts to dominate its region and to acquire nukes as a shield for these activities.

"Tensions" are not higher, and the recent news on that front are Iran's proxy attacks on US assets in Iraq, nearly a dozen. Planned/approved/funded/coordinated by Soleimani and his people.

Typical "reporting" on these issues in the US now has reached "Polish troops attacked our radio station along the border" level, from September 1, 1939.

Wrong. Not an attack. A response.

Iran attacked American soil after having attacked and killed Americans and for having a history of storming our embassy and taking hostages.

That we haven't turned them into glass is a testament to our patience and tolerance. We didn't attack; we responded.

It would help if the administration began to educate and debunk, every time they discuss the topic. Bush failed to, and partly due to this the media distortions now form the framework for many people's "understanding" of events back then (including many here, apparently).

The Senate rules call for a trial to be held when the articles are delivered by the House managers. No articles, no trial.

Nancy doesn't have some grand strategy. She was goaded into this farce by her far left squad wing and now she's trapped. She can sit in place and lose support or she can transmit her amazingly weak case to the Senate where Trump will be acquitted in record time. Utter nonsense. Every part of it.

That's what I meant above about every sentence could be fisked.

Iran's nuke ambitions have not changed and these events change nothing.

Direct and proxy attacks on American targets date back decades and recently have ramped up, under the supervision of the dead Soleimani.

ISIS is nowhere near "staging a comeback" and that whole topic has nothing to do with offing this criminal garbage Soleimani.

And there's more/worse, elsewhere.

Iran is now "more unified". Right. A country beset by protests and even attacks against the regime and its security apparatus, in which chants denouncing Iran's foreign adventures are a standard prominent feature, is "unifying" because the arch-criminal in the eyes of the protesters has been killed.
