Well...Duh! This is not rocket surgery. Economics may be an inexact (pseudo) science, but this development is completely unsurprising.

African Americans Are Taking Back Jobs Stolen By Illegal Aliens

African Americans are taking back jobs that were stolen from them by illegal immigrants. In August, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers swept up 680 illegal immigrants during raids on seven food processing plants in Mississippi. Without the cheap labor, the companies were forced to hire Americans to do the work.

The best part of this is the monumental struggle to find something bad in increased employment for Black Americans. But rest assured, the NYT and the NAACP are on the job!

The president of the local NAACP compared the raids to slavery, proving once again the NAACP has become nothing more than an arm of the Democratic Party that stopped advancing the interests of African Americans a long time ago.

And...

The raids were believed to be the largest statewide immigration crackdown in recent history and a partial fulfillment of President Trump’s vow to remove millions of undocumented workers from the country. The impact on Mississippi’s immigrant community has been devastating. For nonimmigrant workers, the aftermath has forced them into a personal reckoning with questions of morality and economic self-interest: The raids brought suffering, but they also created job openings.

Amazing, isn't it! Their tortured manipulation of the vernacular carefully avoids the salient data; these people were in the country illegally, therefore they were employed illegally. This is not some ethical conundrum. This is the law. But "the law is a ass" when it conflicts with the NYT world view that the most important goal of the modern era is the subsuming of America in a sea of unwashed illegals, so finally..FINALLY...their progressive utopia can be achieved. And if that destroys their old and tired weapon of choice (Black America)? Then so be it.

Many of those un-a**ed from the food processing jobs were not deported, nor even placed on a fast track to it. Oh no. "Humanitarian" considerations - families, etc - led to lots of the usual nonsense.

And this kind of "raid" should be a *weekly* occurrrence, nothing unusual.

Better yet, as suggested here and elsewhere for years now, DHS/DOJ should convene meetings with the largest known systematic law-breaking enterprises and offer them a glide-path to legal operations [orderly removal of illegals/transition to legal labor/reasonable help with the human side of things including transportation to countries of nationality + nominal $$$ assistance purely as propaganda for our dumbed-down populace].

With the alternative being this kind of raid, WITH the full menu of civil and criminal penalties for the company perps.

But Trump is still securing his beach-head in much of the bureaucracy, far from doing "mopping up" operations. And Miller hasn't worked any miracles or anything close, and the Beltway GOP remains firmly [and triumphantly, for the most part] athwart Trump's agenda.

And the judicial side is a wasteland of pyrrhic "victories" that further degraded constitutional executive power and the very system, and further aggrandized lawless and pernicious judicial sabotage.

Border barrier kind of OK, bilateral stuff with MX and Central America finally getting much better [i.e. they were forced to cooperate on key items] but years later than should have been the case.

Vic had a link this morning of TuCa holding forth about the state of the Republican party. It is becoming a Trump party, but way too slowly. Of the Republicans in office in the House when Trump took office, something like 43% are gone to retirement or electoral defeat.

We left Leo at the emergency vet and got a call later that he had a grand mal seizure. That may be good or bad. If it's epilepsy then maybe medication can help. But if he has another while on anti-seizure medicine then it's likely to be a tumor or lesion, in which case it's curtains. Not optimistic but we won't give up until there's no choice.

I can put it into words why. In my experience with the younger crowd today, the "good" white youths (serious about education, have some drive) will ONLY do jobs where they can sit behind a screen and a keyboard 8 hours a day. The bad ones only want to deal and smoke pot or meth.

You can still find some anglo plumbers and electricians, but here in Texas I haven't seen an anglo general construction worker in about a decade now. Same goes for mechanics.

Yes, Hug-a-Thug was also adopted by Miami-Dade as well as Broward. Now NYC and all California. Martin was shipped out of Miami to Central Florida because his breaking and entering habit was hurting the crime stats of Democrat officials. Their policy killed him--but they kept their precious stats.

I have never understood this argument. It's idiotic. Assuming that groups of people will vote the same way forever is just foolish. It is the same thinking which made the GOP throw up its hands and whine in despair initially in 2016, and drove HRC to not campaign in WI, MI and PA because "Oh well, they are blue states, and they will be that way forever, because once you vote blue, that's it."
