Naming Names: It's Time to Name and Shame the Partisan Liars Who Attacked the American Democracy with Lies for Three Years

Alexthechick (hey I know her!) wrote on Twitter:

Let us review: The Steele dossier was used as the central basis for the FISA warrants, just as the crazies said and as the Super Duper Experts Who Are Totally Plugged In To All Kinds Of Access mocked.

The Steele dossier was full of lies and rumors and rumors of lies and not a thing in it was verified see re: rumor lies, just as the crazies said and as the How Dare You Insult The Integrity Of The Rank And File Of The FBI *bald eagle screech* caterwauled

Donald Trump was put under surveillance, just as the crazies said and as the Eyeroll Sure You Would Believe Anything You Cult 45 Member Plebe sneered

I hate being wrong. I hate humiliating myself in public by being wrong in public. When it happens, which it does because the Universe is fond of teaching me much needed humility, I go back and stop and think about how and why I was wrong so it doesn't happen again.

When I get fundamental premises about a situation completely wrong, I go back and review my premises. Why? It is not only because I hate to be wrong. It is because that is what you do if you are a thinking human being who cares about your own intellectual integrity.

To date, the only person who has made any public statement and apology about the crazies being right and he being wrong is Andrew McCarthy. Again, there may be others that I did not see but he is the only one in my awareness.

Years and years of sneering and smearing of people and not so subtle statements of we know things you don't and that's why we know, with absolute certainty, that you are crazies for doubting the integrity of the FBI whose agents gave false testimony in death penalty cases

Let us name names. Jonah Goldberg. David French and do not let him gaslight you otherwise. Bill Kristol. Pick a Bulwark writer. All of them were not only wrong but desperately wrong. They should be completely humiliated to have made the statements they've made. They are not.

People are calling for consequences for the actions of those who spent years being both desperately wrong and nastily so. There should be no need for that. If these Men Of Supreme Integrity Just Ask US were what they claimed to be, they would remove themselves from positions.

And yet. And yet, I have seen no sign of any possible recognition that they did a single thing wrong. Mayhap I missed it, and if so, my sincere apologies. But I do not think I did. It is thus reasonable to rub their noses in the filth they made and state bad dog! Bad! /fin

She calls for naming names.

Senator Chuck Grassley says, Hold muh beer, Alex.

If you're one of the three people besides me who wonders "But what does David French say now?," well, last time he was exposed as either a fraud or a dupe who propagated lies for three years he claimed he hadn't done that at all, disregard his columns and tweets and just accept his New Claim that he always thought the collusion claim was shaky. (Not too shaky to endorse as likely true, though!)

I guess he realizes he cannot claim that he never claimed Nunes was lying and his Sexual Hero Adam Schiff was telling the truth, because he wrote a lot of columns claiming just that.

So, he just changes the topic: He pretends his entire worldview hasn't just be destroyed and... pivots to Stormy Daniels? Again?!

So Michael Avenatti is David French's Great White Hope again?

David French then did what he usually does -- he took his twitter argument and made a "news analysis" out of it:

Some people are starting to wonder what kind of "man" spends so many hours thinking about Donald Trump's fat, greasy hog.

For a guy who's totally chill about Drag Queens using government space to propagandize to underage children, he sure has a lot of hangups about heterosexual sex.

Meanwhile, one of the media's Top Geniuses demonstrates he still hasn't read the primary document that reports on the very area he claims is his area of expertise.

Twitter babblers. Babble babble babble, babble on Twitter, read twitter headlines, write Twitter snark, never ever read primary documents, but always claim you're an Expert and and Intellectual who is owed deference due to the intellectual habits of mind and scholarly rigor which you have not actually practiced since sophomore year of college.

They conceive of the Expert and Intellectual as being something you are -- and once you're in the club, you can never be ejected from it -- rather than something you do on a daily basis.

These idiots really want to claim they're Experts and Intellectuals while steadfastly refusing to do any Outside Reading.

And by outside reading, I mean reading that isn't Twitter posts.

They've already adopted the strategy of ignoring that they have been wrong. And in a real sense, they were "right".

I'm unbelievably sick of the "you-can't-vote-for-a-sinner" argument. It's the laziest, most hypocritical trash that's unfortunately been slung around the necks of decent people for decades in order to kneecap effective opposition.

Politics is a nasty game, such that only nasty people are going to succeed. If you restrict yourself to voting only for boy scouts, they're going to get eaten alive by ruthless Clinton-types.

Cf. the C.S.Lewis quote about polite society being possible only due to "rough men" who stand ready to do what needs to be done to those who would otherwise disrupt it.

The first play of a Lib is to weaponize your own decency against you in order to render you sheepishly guilty and politically malleable. French and his ilk are disgustingly self-righteous Liberals.

I haven't listened for a while but I think Ol' Yeller finally got tired of his shit. The last time I heard him on the radio show, Levin asked him a simple question and excitable Andy started running at the mouth about everyone in the SDNY. Finally Mark restated the question, and you could hear the frustration in how he phrased it, and Andy meekly answered it.

I think that was the last time Yeller had him on.

I contend the smart play for the Senate, if Impeachment passes the house, is to submit a bill saying:

As there is no law against Abuse of Power
and there is no Law against Obstruction of Congress

and as the Constitution is clear that Impeachment is for Treason, Bribery, and other high CRIMES and Misdemeanors

We submit the articles of Impeachment from the House, are UnConstitutional, as they clearly do not meet Constitutional requirements.

If Labour is weak, does it mean that normal Brits are still cool with Labour-Lite, or do they want to go back to Churchill and Thatcher?"

There probably is a political vacuum in the UK, JJ. Labour more or less abandoned the working class and is a party of protected minorities and the upper class now. The Brexit Party briefly filled that vacuum and now Johnson has. "Brexit" in places like Manchester meant keeping the English culture and not replacing the indigenous population, not that it is reported as such. The Conservative Party Establishment very much would like to remain, and very much likes mass migration, but knew that had become toxic. They NEVER will let the surveillance state go, though.

It's really a mirror image of what has happened here.

Instead, they did nothing except rely on twitter mob - they did no investigation or critical thinking.

Actually, I think Johnson will address that rather quickly. The Fixed-Term Parliament Act requires a two-thirds vote of Parliament to dissolve itself, so Johnson was placed in the absurd position of having Parliament refuse to pass his Brexit bill, while being unable to call for new elections to settle the issue (until Labor agreed to a new election, fortunately).

It completely undercuts the point of a parliamentary system, which is that if Parliament votes against the government on a significant issue, then Parliament is dissolved, and the voters get to decide who's right.

Macdonough's Song

by Rudyard Kipling

"As easy as A B C"--A Diversity of Creatures"

Whether the State can loose and bind
In Heaven as well as on Earth:
If it be wiser to kill mankind
Before or after the birth--
These are matters of high concern
Where State-kept schoolmen are;
But Holy State (we have lived to learn)
Endeth in Holy War.

Whether The People be led by The Lord,
Or lured by the loudest throat:
If it be quicker to die by the sword
Or cheaper to die by vote--
These are things we have dealt with once,
(And they will not rise from their grave)
For Holy People, however it runs,
Endeth in wholly Slave.

Whatsoever, for any cause,
Seeketh to take or give
Power above or beyond the Laws,
Suffer it not to live!
Holy State or Holy King--
Or Holy People's Will--
Have no truck with the senseless thing.
Order the guns and kill!
Saying --after--me:--

Once there was The People--Terror gave it birth;
Once there was The People and it made a Hell of Earth
Earth arose and crushed it. Listen, 0 ye slain!
Once there was The People--it shall never be again!

Trump was the consummate ladies' man.

Unlike Bill Clinton or Elliot Spitzer, if a chick turned him down, he laughed it off and moved on to the next challenge.

It's interesting how liberals get really hung up on this aspect of him. It's the rage of uncontrollable jealousy.

Every morning David French wakes up to Nancy and then grinds his teeth thinking of what Trump got to wake up to - and wakes up to now.

If they really vote to impeach and this goes to the Senate, they surely know that Trump will be able to declassify ANY documents, electronic communications, etc. that will not only clear him, but expose the left as a whole to massive, MASSIVE crimes.

However, Republicans' hands aren't clean either. Many of them are guilty of taking laundered foreign money as well, in addition to numerous other illegalities. And the Democrats know this.

So they may see a Senate trial as a final "Die Gotterdammerung.". "If you take us down, we'll take you with us."

Mutually Assured Destruction.

The only ones coming out of that scenario relatively unscathed will be Trump and anyone not connected to deep state.

We've said this for a while, be a Democrat first lady with her beauty, grace, style AND undeniable intellect would be on every magazine cover.

But jealousy is a powerful thing, so she's verboten.

The reason the Senate GOP wants a quick acquittal is that they also have to run for re-election.

People are forgetting this. It has nothing to do with skeletons and everything to do with campaign time in the home state.

Besides, whether 90 days or 9, the result with be the same: acquittal.

Pelosi already has defectors, so the only "bipartisan" aspect of this will be opposition to it.
