I know it can't be Alan Kohler, because the FBI just gave him a huge promotion in September, and the FBI surely wouldn't promote a dirty, corrupt cop who deliberately withholds exculpatory information to frame an innocent American citizen. Plus, when would he have had the opportunity? He probably didn't even know Stefan Halper or Richard Dearlove (the London end of the conspiracy). Case closed! INTELLIGENCE SEMINARWell, okay, I guess that's a little suggestive. But, it's not like this conference that Dearlove, Halper, and Kohler all attended also included Svetlana Lokova, the woman that Halper positioned to act as the Incriminating Russian when he contrived allegations against Flynn. Date to be announced [Please note time & Whitehall location]Whoops. Well, okay, but... Look, I just know that Christopher Wray told me that despite all the incredible corruption in the FBI, the FBI was still straight as an arrow and not in need of any reform, and I believe him, because if you can't trust a bureaucrat orchestrating a massive cover-up, who can you trust? But seriously, I don't know who it is. But the universe of people it is likely to be is fairly small. The IG Report tagged him as one of Stefan Halper's handlers. Ever posts some reason to doubt that Kohler is Case Agent 1: He says the IG report says Case Agent 1 was promoted to SSA in March 2017, but, that, per his understanding, Kohler was already an SSA at this time: 151 Ace, the IG Report states that Case Agent 1 was promoted to SSA in March 2017. Not sure how that works w Kohler bc I had read he already had the Supervisory SA distinction. Posted by: EverOkay, maybe not him. How many handlers could Stefan Halper have? It could be that Kohler was one of Halper's handlers, but not the corrupt Case Agent 1. In which case -- who? BTW, a new nugget we just discovered is that Halper was fired for cause in 2011. How he got back into this mix, we don't know. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

I kept saying they need crimes. The Constitution calls for crimes.
Everyone here kept telling me it's political, not criminal. Even though it specifically says "high crimes & misdemeanors". --------------- My opinion - they don't need crimes, it is 100% political. That being said, crimes makes the political possible. Without crimes, it is difficult for the politics to follow. Even with crimes, the politics may not follow. Should Trump take this to the Court? Again, my opinion is that the Court should but out. But going to the Court may be good politics - for Trump. The Court backs you - helps your political case with the "independents" (if any exist). The Court goes against you - helps your political case with the base. The Court stays out of it (as they should) - that too probably helps you with your base. Its all politics at this point. It is good politics to say there is no crime and to use that angle. Posted by: SH at December 12, 2019 03:18 PM (sX1BW) 90

Co-signed. Trump's managed to pull off a surprising amount of "chaos" under cover of the media obsessing over stupid trivia (eliminating 600 positions at the Department of Education, moving several federal agencies out of DC, eliminating Federal regulations at an 8:1 ratio to new ones added). The whole lot of 'em need to be renditioned to "somewhere", and then systematically waterboarded, interrogated, then waterboarded again, just to make sure.
Then cross-check every bit of information obtained, verify it all through every possible means. Unlike the FBI, take the time to make sure it's right. After which, Public Trials, under a Military Tribunal. Why a Military Tribunal? 'Cause they'd be on trial for the Crime of Treason. ALL of them. Upon conviction, they should all be sentenced to hang. Only then, would The President choose, in some cases, to Pardon, or Commute or otherwise lessen the sentence(s) of the guilty. But the stain of that conviction would rest upon their shoulders, 'evermore. As to those who don't find such Presidential Mercies? They swing. Fox News host Chris Wallace on Wednesday said President Trump's continued attacks against the media amounted to the most "direct, sustained assault on the freedom of the press" in U.S. history. "He has done everything he can to undercut the media, to try and delegitimize us," Wallace said at a Newseum event in Washington, D.C., honoring the museum's legacy ahead of its shuttering at the end of the year. -------------- There isn't a lot of precedence on this. It's a trial, but not like normal trials. Senate body, so senate rules. President could appeal to CJ if Senate refuses to have trial on terms President wants. Suspicion is CJ would vote in favor of Senate - his role being merely perfunctory. Senate body, so senate rules. President could appeal to CJ if Senate refuses to have trial on terms President wants. Suspicion is CJ would vote in favor of Senate - his role being merely perfunctory.
Trump would appeal directly to the people. Its all politics. Without a lot of precedence to guide us, I don't think anyone knows for sure.
