Friday Night's ONT Is Wasted

Good evening. I hope all of y'all had a pleasant Thanksgiving, and that none of you succumbed to temptation and experimented with.....marijuana.

Pot.jpg

Marijuana is also known as “weed” or “pot”, and marijuana cigarettes are commonly refereed to as “joints”. Users refer to inhaling the smoke of burning marijuana as taking a “hit”, and the object is to get “high”. It is imperative to be aware of the terminology used by reefer addicts in order to avoid accidentally ingesting marijuana and killing your friends in a murderous rage.

These People Have To Be High

‘Perineum sunning’ is latest insanity wellness influencers swear by

“In a mere 30 seconds of sunlight on your butthole, you will receive more energy from this electric node than you would in an entire day being outside with your clothes on,” says an influencer, who goes by Ra of Earth. In a viral video that has racked up more than 35,000 views, he gestures toward the sun as three naked men lie down, point their backsides to the sky and make sounds of pleasure.

Hey, I wonder if anyone has photoshopped creepy Biden into one of these pics?

Chick-fil-A Has Been Bankrolling the SPLC

Chick-fil-A Plans to Donate to Pro-LGBT Youth Charity Founded by Alleged Molestor Priest

Covenant House is an extremely LGBT-friendly, supporting the annual New York City gay pride parade with a float and the hashtag #CovUnity. It also helps to fund the LGBT agenda on a national basis.

“Chick-Fil-A dumps the Salvation Army because it wants to expand into new markets and now shuns originations the LGBT activists falsely call “anti-LGBT”, and then turns 180 degrees to announce that it will now fund Covenant House, a radical LGBTQ activist organization that celebrates homosexuality, transgenderism, and the entire LGBTQ agenda,” Staver wrote.

Even worse, a report from Church Militant indicated that Covenant House took a young girl to an abortion clinic earlier this year to presumably murder her baby in the womb. Four pro-life protesters saw a Covenant House van pull up to the abortion facility in Detroit where they saw a young woman who looked to be sedated walk into the clinic.

Now, I don't think that CFA should be boycotted or anything like that, I'm not a leftist. Also, CFA is supremely good at what it does: making delicious chicken sandwiches. Still, part of the appeal of CFA was that they stood up to the mobocracy and held true to their beliefs. Many times I chose CFA over a competitor when considering where to eat lunch because I thought that kind of thing should be rewarded. I'm not saying that I'll never eat at CFA again, but that feeling is gone, and so it the bias that went with it.

I also remember how Poles interviewed after almost universally cited the US expression of support as a pivotal moment in their movement. Sadly, China isn't a weak as the old Soviet Union, but from small seeds...

In any event, if we ever decide to get serious, China needs us a whole fuck of a lot more than we need them. A country with a Reagan-like vision could bring them to their knees in a decade. Remember, they produce nothing that we can't live without or replace elsewhere (their control over resources in Africa, notably rare earths, is concerning, but not something that couldn't be targeted and flipped through diplomatic and economic methods) while they do not produce everything (notably oil) that they need. Ahh, but that would require a country acting ruthlessly in it's own self interest, not one full of (and run by) jaded delinquents madly chasing their next Soma tablet.

37 Hola Midnight Fappers.

I just read in Douglas Murray's "The Strange Death of Europe" that only 44.9 percent of London residents now identify themselves as "white British".

He said that the Norman invasion led to no more than 5 percent of the population of England being Norman. This deliberate push for a more diverse populace is wreaking all sorts of change on the character of the nation. The racial or ethnic origin was foremost in mind but nobody was paying attention to the creed/religion of the new immigrants.

So, hopefully, we can get our turkey burgers at Smashburger again next week.

Personally I was supporting the strikers in this case, with some caveats. I used to work at Sysco and I can attest how they despise their employees. And the Teamsters had a legitimate grievance, at least on the face of it; they weren't just demanding MOAR STUFF.

The main caveat I got is, how come Sysco even exists. It's a near monopoly. It got through Democrat administrations on account of it having SJW in its human-resource department - and I mean the worst SJW I've ever seen, even in the 2000s. That's how fascism works: your company is a monopoly and you hire political-officers to beat down your employees.

When the US fought the Comanche Empire, and won (like no-one else had) they didn't give the land "back", because there was no nation there except the Comanche Empire.

A few thousand years ago, before the days of Peleg, there was a contingent that wandered over to the Western Hemisphere - there is eye-witness evidence of that.

Posted by: Blue Bird of F'ing Joy at November 29, 2019 10:57 PM (1YQBD)

219 Some studies have claimed to find human remains as old as 100K years in Mexico, and some of the villages in the Central/Eastern US seem to be more then 10K years old which is hard to accept if you believe the generally accepted time frame for the Indians to have come over (they just didn't move that fast).

So...it is quite possible their were people in the America's before modern Indians....and that they were absorbed/exterminated by the later arrivals.

Of course we have *proof* of various Indian tribes conquering and exterminating each other with no involvement from Europeans, so the notion of the "noble savage" is just wrong.

cold and snowy, and a tepid home crowd. But the Rams played very well against the #20 team, and seriously could have won, or at least forced OT, until the coach, Professor Bobo, decided to punt on 4th and long toward the end of the game. yeah, 4th and long is risky, but the Rams were surging, and they were well past the 50 (the purple zone). Coach Bobo punctured the balloon. Eh. I feel bad for those kids. They really played hard, and well, in front of very small home crowd.

However, it seems that East Asians and Siberians and Beringians and European hunter gatherers not only had a common ancient root but more recent 'friendly' interactions before their descendants finally crossed into America.

There were some artifacts dredged up from the continental shelf off the coast of either N/S Carolina, that were actually constructed of stone from France - the Solutrean people. The thought is that they came westward across the northern edge of the Atlantic ocean, along the ice during the last ice age 13,000-ish years ago. During the ice age a lot of water was locked up in ice, so the level of the oceans was less. The English Channel did not exist, there was land there.

If the Solutreans made it to north America, traveling south down the coast would have been easier than the ocean crossing. Unfortunately any evidence is deep underwater, since they would have stayed near the coast.

Across Atlantic Ice is an interesting book about it.

What's up with the DA that former Mayor Newsome appointed to replace Harris? Gascon resigned citing his mother's health, and then recently announced that he was going to run down here in LA County against current LA County DA Jackie Lacey.

Then last week, both the Mayor and City Attorney of San Francisco endorsed Lacey in that race.

Out of curiousity, do any of you Bay Area residents know why Gascon's so strongly disliked?

Walnut sized scoops into pizzelle iron. Bake until done.

Man, no kidding. The shit we used to get away with was epic. We had a decent amount of woods where I grew up, and it wasn't in the boonies, but more central jersey. It was mostly suburbs, but with patches of woods, some along creeks or woods near RR tracks. Like the discussion above, we did a lot of parties in the woods, but seeing they weren't HUGE parcels of woods we had to watch, the cops could move in somewhat quick if they wanted to. The parties would move around from week to week, so at some point during the week it was usually settled on what location we were going to next. Eventually none were really secure, so....then...then we discovered the underground fort. We were practically the fucking mayans, the structures we would build. One was a frigging cave. In the woods near some RR tracks there were huge rocks, and we spent a day piling them around this rock formation that was on the side of a dirt hill. We basically extended it, scored some wood for a roof, then threw dirt on that, and it looked almost natural. Sometimes we did true underground ones, with dirt covered plywood roofs, and if it was big enough we added a center beam. We never got caught doing shit like that. We couldn't fit a lot of people, so we then became tunnelers, and sometimes we ended up with a fort campground, with a bunch of connected ones. We basically had roofed WWI trenches. lol
Yeah, try getting away with that shit today.

Very similar to what we'd build into steep canyon walls in the San Diego area.

Only with the bonus of unstable soil given to mudslides in the rainy season.

And having those two or three "escape routes" as always a priority in those arrangements.

'Cause even back in the '70s, the San Diego Cops were riding Honda Dual-Sport Enduros, and would chase our ass all through the Chaparral until we hit some trails even too narrow or steep (downhill) for even them.

I have *no* idea how I survived those years, much less eluded incarceration.

Put it to you like this. Our bicycles were painted flat black, we wore dark clothes, and liked to ride deep into the night.

Nah, we weren't up to any "no good". *checks statutes of limitations*

Posted by: Berserker-Dragonheads Division at November 30, 2019 12:10 AM (9Om/r)

The Ford P-71 Crown Victoria must've been the most robust production police car, ever.

Tons of retired P.D. units with 70k to 120k miles are then sold to civilians or taxi operators, who then put another 100k to 200k miles on them.

And though worn and ugly by that time, they just keep tickin'.

I remember those old 440 Police Furys and their kin.

Every damn one of those was ready for the scrapyard by time 70k miles hit. The drivetrain might've had a bit more life in it, but the brakes, body, interior and systems like a heater or suspension were DONE.

Not to mention, the rust. OMG the rust.

They Chevy "Shamu" (Caprice Interceptor with Corvette LT-1 engine) was faster than the Crown Vic, but didn't have the service life, not even by half.

Cops of the day loved it though. Big, comfortable, smooth, handled far better than it had any right to, and fast. SCARY fast.

But newly released cop P-71s are still hitting the market, even now.

Helluva run, that car had.

I was imprecise. I meant to call for a business to be boycotted because it personally offends me in some way. For example, I personally don't shop at Target because of their policy of letting men into the ladies room, but I wouldn't dream of telling you that you shouldn't go there.

482 MNW, it is complicated:

All paleoindian DNA shows roots in Siberian/Altai region, though one type does have ancient connections with Melanesia. By genetic timing (that is complicated analysis of how genes change over time in populations) it is not considered to be a direct connection.
There are two basic paleoindian groups, the Northern that appears to have taken off across the face of the glaciers, East, and the ones that went down the coasts. Most if not all Paleoindians in southern north America and all the south American remains are of the southern types. Within these groups are other subdivisions.

The varied nature of the genetics of paleoindians suggests a very complex (what they call "textured") combination that they think may be due to long term isolation from each other in Beringia, and the term "refugia" is discussed, where groups were isolated due to conditions (their take) or self isolated (my take as a complete amateur) that then mixed in together in North and South America.

Pilauco is a site in Southern Chile that claims to be older than the previous oldest, Monteverde. This site appears to be Pre-Younger-Dryas event and shows predation by humans on an elephant species Gompethere. It also shows a knotted grass cord which is the oldest knot found in the new world, a clove hitch.

524 > Sharon Tate also had a minor role in The Beverly Hillbillies. A secretary, I believe.
She played a lot of roles that could be described as "The Girl With The Large Breasts" (as Monty Python would put it).
She was actually a reasonably good actress, though, physical charms aside.

525 I've been debating what Christmas cookies to make this year. Three and a half weeks is a short window. Definitely need to make stollen. I missed making biscotti last year, and i found my grandma's recipe for kolache. (spelling?) The ones i see for those online are similar- a cream cheese based dough, filled. Her recipe uses a date filling.

530 Hi Debby, this is a tough road, isn't it? Hubby is feeling fine. The fogginess after the seizure has gotten better. MRI looked like what it should after radiation, but they will be keep an eye on it, 3 more MRIs in next 4 months. He thinks he can overcome the DOT regs about driving. I'm not so optimistic, but try not to let that show.

I'm noticing in him more signs of forgetfulness, and I don't know if it's because I'm hyper aware of my mom's decline or if it's just his fatigue. Worrisome, tho.

How are you doing?
