40 It's very bright and cheery despite there being snow in the ground. I think it's the yellow of the house and the golden brown in the trees. The yellow is pale so it isn't radiant enough to warm up the painting. To me, therefore, it still looks cold, but not fridged. But it's a very different mood than the one from last week--the Ashcan painting of the NYC docks in winter. They both are sunny days in winter, but different.

The birdhouse is distracting, tho.

44 I have to learn more about this artist. I like his use of color and how it varies as different light hits it. Look at the variations in the snow in this painting. At first I thought this was a photo until I enlarged it and could see the brush work. The scene is nothing dramatic but it is so well executed that it is pleasant to observe.

Check out Isaac Levitan's other work on Wiki. His landscapes are varied and beautifully done.

We have been screaming from the beginning that Trump should just de-classify everything and dump everything out there because the institutions cannot be counted on to administer justice.

Instead he has followed very bad advice from people telling him to hang tight we will get to the bottom of all of this.

It's bullshit, he's been lied to and now we have run out of time to do anything about it.

There is simply no way a Barr led justice department is going to be spinning up indictments of this nature during an election year.

If we are lucky, Trump wins and maybe something material happens in 2021.

If Trump loses then he will be lucky to not end up in prison once he leaves office and loses the cloak of protection the Presidency provides him.

My favorite movie of his is Zathura. I think the first Iron Man is overrated, but he obviously did some very good things to lay the groundwork for the rest of the MCU.

He seems like he could be a decent big picture producer who can contribute positively to creative decisions from directors.

Better than Kennedy who thought she absorbed creative genius by working next to Steven Spielberg for decades, at least.

A couple of things on this.
1. "News outlets report 37-year-old Jennifer Cummings issued a statement last week saying Harry Spikes embodies the same spirit as her father, whom he worked beside for 15 years."
Run. Run away now and never look back. No one with the "same spirit as her father" should every be considered. He was an excellent looter and power consolidator, but not a good rep.
2. I love how the families of dead politicians now assume they get a say in how these things go. Those seats belong to the people or the state, not familial survivors. We don't have an aristocracy.

I'm doing a little more than reading the tea leaves.

I have been observing first hand, the government and the way it operates for going on 40 years, I am also a student of history and have had extensive contacts with people in governmental operations and law enforcement.

So when I say this was an op, I mean this was an op from end to end, from within and without.

We've already had four pointless and fruitless IG reports, why should a fifth be any different?

We've been hearing about Huber lurking in the background, then all of a sudden it's announced he's been doing nothing while the IG and Mueller's been putting their thumbs on the scale, now we are hearing all sorts of stray volatage about what Barr/Durham are doing, does anyone believe for one second Barr/Durham are going to bring material charges once the IG gives the all clear, and in an election year?

I mean...

I don't even know what to say anymore, it's all absurd at this point.

Anyone who's lived in DC knows how big a pain in the ass it is to get a driver's license - took 2 full days of standing in various lines. They also mis-cut it so the bottom of the license for the guy in front of me was on the top of mine. Looked fake as hell.

I'm really really trying to be patient with PDT and hoping that this time, things will be different and the guilty parties will have justice served to them, cold and nice and hard.

Failing that, if PDT gets impeached over nothing, I don't see any good coming out of that move. That just might be the straw that broke the camel's back. A coup will have been successfully committed.

And we won't be able to vote our way back to a Constitutional government. And it won't be our fault. The Progs will bear all the blame and any retribution that befalls them as a result will be well deserved.

It was a bummer, I camped three nights and saw Anthrax, Black Label Society, Slayer, Lynyrd Skynrd, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, Def Leppard, Lamb of God, Ministry, and Guns n Roses for 250 bucks.

Considering that was the farewell tour for Skynrd and Slayer, and God knows how long ZZ Top has left, it was now or never.

Actually, it would be. Because we let it happen. We didn't raise holy hell when it mattered.

I'm tired of conservatives complaining about leftist activists being too aggressive -- while said activists are getting their way. Maybe it's time for conservatives to stop feeling superior because they don't act up. Their passivity doesn't seem to be working.

It's almost like the right's version of empty virtue-signaling -- we may be losing ground on all fronts political and cultural, but at least we look more dignified! (Reminiscent of the GOPe strategy.)
