Doc_Zero/John Hayward: The Media Is Going Full Orwell to Protect Their Narrative That Only Trump Ever Put "Kids In Cages"

We have always been at war with Oceana, and we'll delete any prior news articles saying otherwise.

His post is about AFP's falsely claiming that 2015 numbers about the number of migrant children "kept in cages" was about Trump.

When it was pointed out that these were Obama's numbers, not Trump's, the AP did not correct -- they deleted the story entirely, memory-holed it, obliterated it from the public record.

Doc_Zero on the Fact-Based Truth Community's constant lies, and mass delusions:

Rarely has there been a more dramatic example of epistemic closure than Democrats refusing to admit Obama put kids in cages. Confronted with iron-clad evidence, they respond by deleting the evidence and pretending nobody saw it. They simply cannot admit it happened.

Of course, it's partly because they worked hard to cook up a cheap hit against Trump and they think it worked, so they'll dynamite any story that threatens their precious narrative. Right now they're literally deleting news items about the huge number of kids in cages in 2015.

It's also because the Left is all-in on using the "kids in cages" narrative as a cudgel to beat Americans into accepting open borders. They desperately want to set up a false choice between zero border control and "concentration camps."

If the Left admitted that Obama put kids in cages too - and did it MORE than Trump! - they would have to examine the reasons WHY Obama did it. They believe in his messianic innocence as deeply as they think Trump is evil, so they'd have to do some very uncomfortable thinking.

Treating "kids in cages" as some wanton act of arbitrary cruelty by xenophobes shields leftists from thinking about the people who throw their children at the border, about human traffickers, about how children are being used and abused as props.

And if their precious shielded minds are confronted with the reality of what Barack Obama did, they might begin thinking even more unsettling and forbidden thoughts about how and why that information was kept hidden from them for so long.

Why didn't any of their ultra-compassionate and enlightened Democrat leaders give a damn about kids in cages in 2015? Why didn't the courageous firefighting Guardians of Truth in the media report it? Who DID reports on it? Deplorable conservative sites like Breitbart!

It's rare to see a single fact that would shatter an entire worldview like the truth of Obama and children incarcerated at the border. Lefties cannot accept that fact - it would blow up everything they believe in a chain reaction. So they don't accept it. They delete it. /end

I've come to believe what others have hinted at here.

I do believe the US was infiltrated quite a bit by the Soviets during the Cold War. They hit Government, Media, and Education.

I truly believe, if the USSR was still alive - they'd be dialing their operatives back a bit - to keep them viable. But, just like Scientologists, they're without direction now - faithfully running a playbook that will lead to their ruin.

Crazy ? You wouldn't say so if you saw the skillful blend of earth tones with my otherwise primary colored yarn. There's a system to it. I could show you the legend key.

135 erPattern: an action or set of actions is alleged to have occurred, or [dishonestly] implied to have occurred at a certain time. Those on the defensive furiously debunk the factual accuracy of the claim - i.e. that the actions occurred, or occurred when reported.

Yet - the actions themselves *are, or would be, perfectly f***ing fine*, legal, proper, normal, unavoidable, etc.

Pro tip: from the very first, dispute/debunk the *substance*, the "so what?" of the issue.

Fact: foreigners entering the country illegally, or on an asylum basis yet to be adjudicated, need to be detained. As long as the conditions are reasonable - they usually are, and even better - then *there is NO issue*.

Many in the know still harp about how conservatives will not show up for off year elections, particularly when they are local and for school boards. Then they wonder why their kids are getting lefty indoctrination.

The rest I blame on the parents themselves. Too many "conservatives" are raising lefty kids. Sure, in the end, everyone has to be true to himself. But the numbers don't add up. No way it is normal for conservatives to regularly raise leftists.

When I started reading all the shit I read on my own, after high school, a lot of things stuck out to me. First - McCarthy got a really, really shit rap for being right in general. Second - FDR was a friggin' tyrant. That man was a communist. He brought more shit on the Public than the Depression ever did. And the Public loved him for it. Third - the Birchers also got screwed. So kinda half following the impeachment inquiry proceedings and listening to the State Department clowns is infuriating.

My question to you all is what does the State Department do that isn't completely redundant? Which of their functions can't be passed off to another department (ex. all intelligence gathering being streamlined and moved to Defense)? And why shouldn't the Department of State simply be abolished?

Posted by: Peaches at November 20, 2019 05:40 PM (14URa)

265 Okay, regarding the sidebar:
It's now pretty obvious how the racket worked for these shills. They got hired because they were easily controlled and could basically be paid by the word.

They wrote books that their "colleagues" then promoted and they'd sometimes fake fight about what was in them, but that was only to make it seem controversial and juice sales.

Then, they could claim to be best-selling authors which would further inflate the magazines they worked for and the cruises.

"Visit scenic Alaska with best-selling author Jonah Goldberg and his musical couch," etc.

Trump exposed that for the grift it was. The first thing we found out is that these people are actually pretty stupid when they have to make up their own dialogue. They're good at line-reading, but that's it.

They would crush it in "debates" with friendly liberals by letting each side score points, mostly in terms of rhetoric, but no one ever walked away convinced of something different.

Thus their all-in "STOP TRUMP" effort failed because despite their bestsellers, academic pretensions, etc. they actually are terrible at persuasion. Which is why they've moved to unread pay-per-view-only blogs.

So Ace is right - they don't actually use the free market, they worm their way into cozy lobbying gig and then sing the music shoved in their face.

301 Another big reveal is how much they actually hate each other. Those circle-jerk book reviews weren't because anyone even gave a damn, it was part of the marketing plan.

Thus when Goldberg's co-host wrote a rather important book, he acted like he'd never heard of it. And no, he won't read it because he's not being paid to.

Seriously, those friendly reviews weren't done for fun. They were factored into the print magazine layout and considered a writing assignment like everything else. It's like those radio ads where the host acts like he's havin a conversation and just happens to bring up cyber security or ID theft or Bose wave radios.

It's a paid promotion.

But now the masks are off and it's clear to see just how jealous they are of the talented ones in their midst that aren't dependent on corporate lucre.

Seeing them come after VDH, who's the most distinguished person at NR was really revealing. I remember they used to seriously hype him, his knowledge, reputation as an ancient scholar and WOW were the little people ever jealous.

They shouldn't have crossed the border illegally and in any cases those
cages and food provided to them at taxpayer expense are better than
anything they had in the shitholes they came from.

I care a lot that they are being trafficked --- and it was Obama who set it up so that this happened with his 2014 "unaccompanied minors" policy. He is personally responsible for actively encouraging parents in shithole countries to place their kids into the hands of cartels and/or coyotes to bring them to the US. From here, they can serve as anchors in getting the rest of the family in.

He knew this led to trafficking and all kinds of abuse. The information was out there that 80+% were being abused, either on their way here, and/or while in temporary care in the US (unvetted foster families, at US-contracted facilities). And what did he do? He sued these faith-based contracted facilities to provide STD treatment, birth control and abortions!!!!

TFG is EVIL.

375 WW1 Democrat. WW2 Democrat. Korean War Democrat. Vietnam Democrat.

Bob Dole mentioned that same thing about "Democrat Wars", true.

Keep in mind though:

WW1 had backing from the Progressive faction of the GOP, like Teddy Roosevelt.

WW2: started by a sucker-punch, and Willkie would have conducted the same policy re Japan and probably re Germany.

Korea: supported by Republican Cold-Warriors all the way.

Vietnam: Nixon would have got involved as well, tho' more competently than JFK did.

In sum, I don't see daylight between the most-prominent Republicans we actually had in the 20th century; and the Democrats that, again, we actually had.

See ... guys ... this is the disconnect.

There are a ton - a fucking ton - of working poor and lower-middle class folks out there to be had, if you want to think of it that way. But they don't buy the morals argument. And they don't get high, either. Dad comes home, Mom works too - the kids go to public schools because they can't afford private and wish they could.

But they don't want to be fucking told how they don't dress well enough, they're abusing their kids by putting them on the bus to PS1, so on and so forth.

I've been here a long time. I have not once - not once - turned a friend onto this site. The reason is simple - my friends would fucking hate most of you. The reality you discuss here is not the reality they see every day. They'd call bullshit in ways that would make me blush. They'd get about two threads in before a ban.

They agree with the links provided. They think society is going to hell in a handbasket. But they won't be lectured to. Poor folks are just as proud as any of you. And they're voting Trump - because Trump's message, honestly, is easier to swallow than many of yours.

So many of you wonder - why don't the masses "get us". That's why.

Ace, you ace mixing up AFP and AP.

AFP is "Agence France Presse," the national neews syndication network of France. They translate most of their articles into foreign languages like English, too.

AP is the Associated Press, an American conglomerate of all the major news sources, who distribute/syndicate articles from all members, and also set up "pools" so that one or a few designated reporters will provide raw material for all networks to access equally.

You go back and forth in your post, conflating the two.

I think he did expand some bombing for strategic reasons. That war is not my area so I will leave it to others. But there is the idea of hitting an area hard before a withdrawal or peace talks. It seems crazy to me to blame Nixon for Vietnam. He was handed the war by two Democrat administrations. He ended the thing, they didn't. I am not saying leaving was a good thing but America at the time would not stand for much else. And Nixon was reelected.

449 When does the copyright run out on Atlas Shrugged?

It would be an interesting exercise to edit it down to something more readable - you could call it Selections from Atlas Shrugged or something.

450 The Democrats and the MSM are mentally ill.

Also, the woman who got knocked up by younger Biden now has to live with the entire world knowing she got knocked up by an effing Biden. Which should be synonymous with "village retard."

/apologies to all village retards

456 In typical stupid "rules of engagement" fashion, LBJ
was letting the supply chain on the Ho Chi Minh trail in "neutral"
"Cambodia" run unmolested. Nixon broke that up by operating in those
areas as well and choking on the Viet Cong in South Vietnam.

good point. The Left says Nixon "expanded the war". But it is really expanding to go where the enemy is located?
