Yes and I do understand that the comparison to the Brownshirts is easier to relay . Unfortunately I think history does have a consistent cause and effect. If the communist 'Brownshirts' are allowed to continue, that might result in a non desirable counter group that use the same tactics. That hasn't happened yet. "RESCUE AMERICA - TOWN HALL" takes place four blocks (0.3 miles) from the Multnomah County Elections office, in the last few hours before ballots are due.
I would like to know how the Melody Ballroom feels about its complicity in the inevitable acts of voter harassment and intimidation poised to occur in one of the county's most popular ballot drops. I'll wait.
Since they are trying to shut down an event in a private venue, it's not a First Amendment violation, you see.

The difference was that National Socialists believed that socialism should benefit their countrymen at the cost of everyone else, whereas the Communists wanted a class consciousness that went beyond national boundaries. That's why there was an Comintern.
When the Nazis gained the upper hand, it was easy for the former reds to get with the program, because it was most of what they wanted anyway.

There is a movie out there called Hayabusa Regiment that features some of these P-40s and Brewster Buffaloes.

When it goes, assuming it's a full rip, it'll be a 9.0 from Northern Cali all the way to Vancouver Is, BC.
Long minutes of shaking, ground subsidence and then the tsunami arrives. The coast is not the place to be.
Portland and Seattle may get some flooding but the worst will be the shaking and aftershocks.
Seattle will get a bit more than flooding.
All of that is also assuming the Volcanoes on that fault don't suddenly wake up.

Bevin is underperforming other Republicans on the ballot for other statewide races--the Rep. AG candidate is getting over 60 percent and AG Commissioner and Auditor are getting about the same. The Rep. in the Sec. of State race is getting about 55 pct while the Dem is getting 45 with no Libertarian.
Most of Jefferson County (Louisville+suburbs) and Lexington are not reporting yet and a number of other counties.

Another wild defection story involved a P-38 pilot in Burma. He decided he wanted to join the Luftwaffe, so he went AWOL, used mil-air to hitch rides all the way to an Italian airbase, took up one of the [I believe recon] P-38s, and defected to the krauts. Forget how they used him. He evaded justice somehow, *enlisted back in the Army* after coming back home, and was discovered, tried, and imprisoned only a bit later. Amazing.

Recently I read AJP Taylor's "Origins of the Second World War" which focused on British grand strategy in Central Europe, which obviously failed, because they were dealing with Hitler. That was good for what it was. Didn't explain *Germany* much.
Arthur Bryant's "Unfinished Victory" tried to get into the 1920-36 German brain. It seemed reasonable to me. If a little maledited.

actually, the opposite.
Puget Sound and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are over 500 feet deep in places. The waves of tsumanis crawl along the floor of the ocean/sound, and then rise up to cause damage when they hit shore.
Think of carrying a big bowl of water, and sloshing it. The water rises most at the edges of the bowl.
Same for Puget Sound. There are examples of this in Alaska, where tsunamis entered deep bays and the water sloshed well over 100 feet high.
But yeah, about 5 or 10 minutes is all the warning that Puget Sound cities will get.
