Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | FoxNews Source: The Soon-To-Be-Released IG Report Will Show Why Durham's DOJ Investigation Has Turned Into Criminal ProbeOne source added that DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's upcoming report on alleged FBI surveillance abuses against the Trump campaign will shed light on why Durham's probe has become a criminal inquiry.Via Ed Morrissey, here's James "TAKE THE KILL SHOT" Clapper finding out live that he was the target of a criminal investigation, and sputtering about "questioning the timing."
The race is on to see who will survive--the duly-elected president of the United States or a modern-day Praetorian Guard comprised of former law enforcement and intelligence officials tasked with taking down that president. As Barr gets closer to the key people involved in concocting the phony Trump-Russia collusion hoax--which included the use of powerful surveillance tools and government informants--House Democrats are escalating efforts in their attempt to impeach Trump before Barr's department starts issuing indictments. If Trump goes down before Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham, his point man on the investigation, can complete their work, that investigation could be completely discredited if not halted altogether as the by-product of an illegitimate presidency. The clock is ticking, fast. Two dependable sources of Trump-Russia collusion propaganda--the New York Times and NBC News--nervously reported this week that Barr’s inquiry has expanded, although neither outlet has the foggiest idea why.She notes a pair of reporters -- including "Fusion Ken" Dilanian -- now expressing shock and outrage that an investigation into election chicanery has begun. It is appropriate to note that neither Goldman nor Dilanian shared any kind of similar skepticism in their three-year reporting binge on the Trump campaign's imaginary collusion with the Russians in 2016. .. House Republicans stormed one outpost of the Praetorian Guard on Wednesday when they breached Schiff’s secret impeachment lair and refused to leave. That move, condemned by the news media and faux "conservative" websites such as the Washington Examiner, which compared the rebellious Republicans to Antifa terrorists, represented a true republican offensive against the Guard. Only one side ultimately will prevail. And we should know the victors soon. These are exciting times, interesting times... but as the old Chinese proverb says, "may you be cursed to live through interesting times." The faction that did this is now complaining that they're being investigated for their prior illegal actions. But whoever is to blame (spoiler alert: It's the left and the Deep State fronted by Obama's High Praetorian), we are at a very dangerous pass. Peaceful transitions of power and free elections do not happen in countries where one faction gets it in its head to start weaponizing law enforcement and intelligence against their opponents. That's where we are now -- and the left, aided and abetted by weak-sister social liberal fake "Republicans" who now have pretty much confirmed their identities as simply pro-corporate, pro-war Democrats -- began us down this path. By the way, can I once again congratulate the so-called "Experts" and "Elites" who Totally Understand How Things Work and who are great Patriots who really Believe in America for now having broken America beyond repair? Our super-elite totally-meritocratic Ruling Class has given us one last gift as they go: a possibly violent civil war and a class war we avoided for 300 years. And no, I don't think we're voting our way out of this. Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Time was that governments came and went, and so did the people within them. By creating a large permanent bureaucracy, we've created a bunch of people whose only interest is maintaining power for one side. The only thing holding that back was a justice system truly interested in equal justice under the law and a Congress determined to be measured in its use of power, so as not to upset the constitutional balance and undermine the republic. Democrats have now destroyed that and indicated they want a permanent ruling class of their choosing, not the citizens. God help us, because you can see this won't end well.

Britt Hume spoke to Boehner about that and said that he only added that the Committee Chair can issue subpoenas on their own without waiting for the committee approval. Boehner says he didn't write anything to suppress the continued minority subpoenas.
So it's out there in full now: Napolitano is a CRANK. --- Posted by: Axeman at October 25, 2019 04:30 PM (Fq70R) 191

The last thread was Willowed when I posted this:
--- About the Flynngate findings about Page: You can't prove that Page lied unless you can prove that she did remember. See, this is how they got Flynn. Arch Demon-lord Strzok and Page knew that the standard Washington dodge not to be caught in any lie is to say "I do not remember". This is precisely why they edited the Flynn 302s and changed his "I don't remember" statement to a definite statement. Now, Flynn could be prosecuted for changing a definite statement. I hit my head and don't remember was Hillary's big out for Benghazi (where "no scandal happened" the Demedia wants me to say). Also, Sciutto and McCabe agree that the $100,000 in Facwbook ads Russia bought, and the blog comment farm it was running in St. Petersburg was an assault on the very fabric of our democracy.
In fact, those ads and those comment bots were well worthy of overturning the results of an election whose results they themselves find distressing and refuse to accept. And anyone who disagrees is a Russian asset. Posted by: Huck Follywood at October 25, 2019 04:41 PM (NVYyb) 280

If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

>>Actually they think WE are dumb and that they could get away with this.
>>And they may be right. Based on experience, I'd say they are. We aren't dumb. We have been outgunned. The left has owned the government for decades. Politicians come and go but the deep state remains and that is exactly who has been running things. Clearly they ran this coup. And they had the media to control the narrative. They are going to be a powerful force to be reckoned even in their wounded state. But we have this now and they can't control the signal. And more importantly we have Trump. He is the Black Swan nobody saw coming. What took so long? Barr, Horowitz and Durham had to build a case tighter than a frog's ass if they were going to win. We don't get the benefit of conjecture and media spin. We have to absolutely bullet proof. We are going to win this if people don't go wobbly. Don't go wobbly. Let's win. Current wind speed at my location: 0 knots. I predict today's looming intentional blackout will be the last straw and even the lefties are going to go medieval on PG&E's asses after this craziness. The thing is, and I think Ace has touched on this before, President Trump wanted to be president, and he launched his campaign, won the primary, fought in the general, and according to some in the know was surprised that he won (i.e., did not have a victory speech prepared).
If the dems had been smart, yeah I know stop right there, but if they had been smart they could have worked with him, he would have compromised on some issues, and he might not have been reelected if the rest of us were disillusioned after his summer of Build The Wall!. But no, the dems lost what little mind they have, and attacked him non stop. They made an enemy of President Trump instead of just waiting four years and alienating him from his voters, as they did to Bush 41. By using the secret powers of government against him, they are showing all of us just how dangerous the deep state really is, and if they can go after the duly elected President of the US, they could squash the rest of us like the bugs they want us to be forced to eat. To be fair, it's not that they could squash. It's now been exposed that they have squashed. Past tense. That's why the dominoes are so unsettled. It isn't theory. Mass scale abuse of power is SOP in our government, but it's been largely hidden by the apparatus. But the people are now discovering the rot all about them. We were ignorant an/or naive. Caller to Rush a week or so ago explained the solar panels need to also have batteries to store that energy. But the guy also tried to explain having all that will so after give you free energy, seemed Rush wasn't buying that argument. Batteries don't last forever, especially if you cycle the batteries/ discharge and recharge them daily. Bastteries are not cheap. They also require regular maintenance too. A civil war gives us the chance to reconstitute this country, to spell out our freedoms In the Constitution.
=============== How about this idea: we spell out what the government is allowed to do. Everything else, like everything, is the rights of the people. In other words, I'm not spelling out shit. I'm telling you what you can do, D.C. Posted by: Huck Follywood at October 25, 2019 05:10 PM (NVYyb) 460

In one of his mystery SF novels, The Caves of Steel or The Naked Sun, Asimov has his detective lead character point out to his wife, who is rather proud of being named Jezebel after what she thinks is an infamous historical person, that Jezebel was really not that bad, she's just had bad PR. For the life of me I can't recall what his revisionist explanation was. Anybody remember?
Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius at October 25, 2019 04:37 PM (ClOmq) It was in the Caves of Steel. Jezebel was, as Queen, a supporter of the national, pagan religion holding up common religious values. The Jews called all such female priests "harlots" because they disapproved of the services not that she was immoral. The "painted Jezebel" comes from a scene where after getting the news that her husband and sons are killed and the mob is coming for her, puts on makeup and her best clothes to face them and defy them before they kill her too. Again, this is showing courage under stress, not immorality. The Naked Sun is the flip side - instead of Earthmen who can't stand the outside from living in their internal cities, he is on Solaris a Spacer Colony where they in effect live "on the web" and can't stand any physical interaction with other persons at all. Yeah the solar panel laws in Cali are one of the biggest scams in history. They're forcing people at their own expense to create tiny power plants to feed power to PGE. Its amazing they got away with it. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at October 25, 2019 04:52 PM (KZzsI) The morons that had solar panels were dumb enough to believe their houses had some standalone capability. Most had no idea that they simply fed into the grid and had no off grid capability at all. You didn't expect the establishment to actively work to dismantle the establishment did you? It incredible to me how weak and feckless and cowed the so-called news reporters and journalists are. Zero, absolute zero professional pride or integrity. Literally, here is the Story of the Century. The kind of story a reporter dreams day and night about. Think about this: An attempted coup has been run against a duly elected President of the United States of America. The conspirators and seditionists and treasonists are all members of the highest law enforcement agencies in the land as well as leaders of the opposing political party. Holy Cow!!!! It doesn't get much juicier than this in the world of news or journalism. Man, were I them I'd be digging up every scrap of dirt. Writing articles and working on my book that would be the Definitive History of the First Coup Ever Attempted in the USA! Fame, fortune, immortality, huge respect, etc, etc, etc. Bu-u-u-u-ut, these losers are all.....Nope. Just pitiful, sorry-ass losers one and all. Sad. It is surreal to go through my daily life worrying about mundane bullshit when I'm mostly sure there will be a shooting war I have to PARTICIPATE IN in the near future.
I wonder if that is how it always feels before the war starts. Mowing your lawn and putting up Halloween decorations one day, getting shot at by your neighbor the next. Posted by: Moron Pundit at October 25, 2019 05:37 PM (i16mG) 473

My dad owned a beach house on the Outer Banks. (He sold it a few weeks ago.) One of the other owners in the neighborhood is James Clapper. A year or so ago James Clapper ran for president of the HOA. He was not elected. I giggle every time I think of that. The man literally could not get elected as president of the HOA!
