Fortunately there were album rock FM stations in Phoenix and Tuscon, when I lived there from 72-80. When I moved to Houston in mid-80, I found nothing but Top 40 on all AM and FM stations. One station, 101 FM, threw-in some non-Top 40 stuff occasionally, but overall, I found Houston radio to be a rock music wasteland.

I loved that line, it was the point at which the Chevy Chase character actually shows he's more than just a goofball, that he's that way because he hates his life, the people he runs around with, his upbringing, all of it.
