sarcasm noted, and I agree. But a wild card is that Trump and swamp draining is an existential threat to the DC Cartel, which sweeps up a lot of the GOPe. So at some point, Senators may fear prison and/or losing all support (from their Corporate and/or foreign masters) ... more than the fear the backlash from voters.
Many of those types have left Congress (Ryan a prime example?) ... but many are still there ... some of the better ones may have left (Chaffetz?) out of frustration. The Final Battle ground is not yet determined ... they are still running a coup, what else will they try? Old rules may not apply.

I saw Amber Heard in person earlier this year at some cocktails and mingling event. I did not immediately recognize her or know her name, but knew that she was famous and I did think that she really really looked like someone I had seen in movies. I resorted to asking the person I was with, "Who is that woman over there?": and was informed that it was Amber Heard.

I was watching a YT video by the Duran on this and they were saying that the Syrians and Russians were moving almost at once into most of the vacated area and that all parties seemed to be coordinating the regarrisoning. Their opinion is that all sides, including the US military, had all parts of this set up from before the starting whistle to go down smoothly.
