I was surprised/not surprised by his association with Les Wexner.
It has always been rumored that Les was a homosexual, and that his wife Abigail was a "beard". They have had several children. As a wise friend once said, most "homosexual" men are actually bisexual.

Its not celibacy at all that's the problem, as proven by how some people who are not celibate do horrible stuff to children, and most people who are celibate do not. All the master's degrees and wheel reinventions and staggering wealth transfers to education personnel are indefensible from any serious perspective.

Celibacy is definitely not the issue. The repression and shame-based indoctrination toward sexuality isn't a good thing on the other end of the continuum, but that isn't the issue either. It's all about going to where there is a steady, vulnerable supply of prey.

The modern equivalent of one-room school houses. Meaning; mixed ages and abilities together, the more mature kids helping the instructor with the younger, not as advanced ones, concentration on classics - literature, math, western civ, writing, tight discipline and meaningful testing. And, kids are responsible for some of the schools needs: cleaning, cutting the grass, etc.
This could include the special needs kids as pretty much everyone would have an individualized program.

Clerical celibacy does limit the pool you can draw from, though, to men who don't want to marry or have children.
So there is an impact. The main problem is predatory
gay men who prefer teen aged boys, no doubt about that.... and I have no problem with the celibacy vow, but you can't say it isn't a component of the problem.
