The Media Isn't Just Burying the Hunter Biden Corruption Story. It's Also Burying the Story of Joe Biden's Brother, James Biden, and His Corruption, Too.

Mollie Hemingway spoke about this today.

The media is mostly ignoring that former Vice President Joe Biden’s brother is also involved in a scandal, said Federalist editor Mollie Hemingway.

Hemingway discussed the Biden family's business dealings in Ukraine with "Fox & Friends" hosts Monday. Both Biden's son Hunter Biden and brother James Biden have been involved in shady business dealings, Hemingway said.

...

The Federalist editor pointed out that a July New Yorker profile said a Chinese businessman gave Hunter Biden a diamond gift.

"It's kind of surprising that some of these media figures are so ignorant of these facts or claiming that to talk about these facts is a conspiracy theory," Hemingway said.

"I actually think it's so much worse than just a double standard, which is something that we’ve seen for a long time," Hemingway added. "We actually have a story here where [President] Donald Trump and a few people in the government are trying to get to the bottom of what actually happened in the 2016 election, which involved some meddling from foreign countries -- it involves the weaponization of our law enforcement and intelligence agencies. And as this comes out, they’re trying to... refocus this story in a different direction. And it is not good."

Video at the link.

Biden recently threatened CNN and Fox News that they must not run a Trump ad about the Biden family's corruption. CNN complied with the threat, naturally.
The ad is here.

Hemingway had additional thoughts on the media. Via Twitter:

The @chucktodd meltdown is instructional. It is clearly very frustrating for those in the media who are pushing impeachment (after the Russia hoax they pushed for years) that those outside of their bubble are not falling for this latest attempt to undo the 2016 election.

Media/Democrats are struggling to get impeachment going, hoping that (historically feckless, admittedly) GOP pols can be pressured to join. A few barriers: 1) They've not come close to articulating a coherent case for impeachment 2) can't even get an official inquiry launched...

3) GOP voters are already upset that GOP pols were cowards in the face of an obviously false Russia hoax that they allowed Democrats/media to perpetuate for years 4) GOP voters would like action against those who perpetuated the dangerously false smear of treasonous collusion...

5) GOP voters at this point would be ready to utterly destroy any GOP politician who not only did nothing in response to the previous attempts to unseat the Republican president, but followed it up by joining the latest attempt.

She also noted:

Which has been clear for a long time, but which has never been so clear -- they're not hiding their open contempt much any longer.

And might as well link Mollie's appearance on special report from Friday.

It is known that Joe Biden threatened to hold back
aid unless the prosecutor who happened to be investigating Hunter's employer was fired.

It is now also known that Joe Biden lied when he said he never discussed Hunter's employer since they all played golf together.

The Clintons lost their meal ticket. Worse, they owe a lot of people who paid big money for favors they can't grant.

This is part of the fury right now - they are having to go on a diet for the first time, ever.

This is also why the Strzok and co. are looking to cut deals because they know that not *everyone* will be taken care of. Too many people clamoring for cover. Some will be left exposed.

So, we hate science, not that we disagree with their interpretation of the data. Plus, you know, science demands we teach hard atheism in public schools. etc etc.

And of course, we must be polite above all else. It saddens Romney that the GOP failed to apologize and surrender at an instant when trump, he fights.

I don't need any. And you personally don't deserve any, but I'll offer a defence for people here who do :

The default stance to war should be, "don't". For war there needs to be a solid argument FOR it, which is why America's Constitution puts that onto the Senate, supposedly the senior deliberative body here.

"But we've already sunk so much into this" is a fallacy, the sunk cost fallacy. "But all the other... er, Senators... other than Rand Paul disagree!" is also a fallacy, in this case the bandwagon fallacy.

No, it's called bribery.

Follow the money. Jonah Goldberg's "principles" are paid for by corporatists. His six-figure "chair" depends on him doing what his master likes.

Trump threatens that.

We know that National Review takes Google's money and also that they were willing to take paid programming from Jeffrey Fcvking Epstein.

They are whores. They call themselves "courtesans," but they're whores.

They don't like the term and try to avoid mentioning it, and they overcompensate like crazy.

David French's whole "holier-than-thou" act is an effort to convince himself he's not just another carnival barker.

Goldberg used to enjoy his gig because he wasn't forced to smell the glove much. Now it's basically strapped on his face. No wonder he hangs out in bars on weeknights.

And Kevin Williamson has always had an inferiority complex the size of a trailer park. The man's sexual insecurities could probably power Buffalo if he ever tried to work through them on a bicycle.

None of these people truly believe what they say. They might have during the Bush era, but now the cruel hand of fate is making them bark for their dinner in ways they never imagined.

if he criticizes an ally, he's unpat because our allies are beyond reproach.

As long as they are involved in our politics, every one of our enemies knows they have a 100% chance of success, so long as they are patient. And they are.

Until we crush the Left at home, we are doomed abroad, and ground wars are nothing more than a pointless waste of our finest patriots.

I wouldn't be so harsh, becasue I remember when I used to believe the US needed to use our power to straighten that place out. At one time, I really believed we could do it.

Now I know we cannot. No matter what we do, it will fail in one way or another. It's like the end of the movie War Games - the only way to win is not to play. So, some people still sincerely and devoutly believe, I remember what that felt like. They're wrong, but not wicked. The ones who are wicked are the political power players who want troops to stay there because they will personally profit from it, and most of those involved in the military industrial political complex will.

Fuck all this. If anybody in Congress wants troops sent over, they can DECLARE WAR, that's actually Congress' job.

208 Romney Says 'America Is An Unreliable Ally' After Trump Pulls Troops Out Of Syria

The US Government is an unreliable government to the inhabitants of North America.

Romney pretends that our State Department is the epitome of integrity and honesty (e.g. Oil For Food Program) and doesn't care a bit that most of "America" government is trying to burn down the country, stomp out Western Civilization and eradicate the Constitution and the culture that values it.

While my government is destroying everything of value to me, Romney worries that a bunch of goat herders who have done absolutely nothing for us but cost us blood and treasure are somehow going to be offended because we don't continue this insanely one-sided relationship in the manner the MIC sees fit.

Posted by: Blue Bird of F'ing Joy at October 07, 2019 08:17 PM (lD3vL)

209 As has been said ad nauseum, Turkey is a NATO country, the Syria conflict was instigated by the SCOAMF, if the mission is necessary and vital EU NATA countries can scrounge up the troops from their 1.5 million man army that sits closer to Syria than NY does to Florida.

Maybe it's just me,
maybe I'm the problem, but unending expenditures of American blood and
treasure to satisfy the Globalist/MIC's bloodlust and coffers harshes my
mellow.

I'm going to borrow a Stephen Crowder bit for all of the we must not pull our troops anywhere ever crowd.

See also: the Crusades.

The Western Europeans and the Papacy sunk a sh!t ton of resources to keep a few castles up and down Palestine. And what did we get out of it? A few castles up and down Palestine (and, er... Constantinople... d'oh).

We got as far as we did because the Moslem states were dysfunctional. But eventually the Crusaders sided with the wrong side (the Mongols, in that case) and united all the Moslems against them. So much for the Crusade.

Better to have not bothered in the first place, and to have concentrated on the Crusade in Europe. That side of it actually got Sicily and Lisbon back.

"ROBERT KHUZAMI, Attorney for the United States, Acting Under Authority Conferred by 28 U.S.C. § 515, announced that JOHN GALANIS, a/k/a “Yanni,” DEVON ARCHER, and BEVAN COONEY were each convicted today of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and securities fraud, following a five and half week trial before U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams.

Mr. Khuzami said: “As a unanimous jury swiftly found, these defendants orchestrated a highly complex scheme to defraud a Native American community and multiple pension funds, all to corruptly bankroll their own personal and business interests."

The big scoop was Trump said bad things, illegal things, in a conversation with the president of Ukraine. Oh, if you could only hear what we heard! It was horrible, Trump sold out the USA!, they droned on.

The smear merchants started working overtime.

So, Trump de-classified the entire conversation and made it public!

There is zero, nada, nicht, nyet in it about Trump doing anything wrong. In fact, he represents US interests well in the conversation.

So the Leftie press and Democrats (but I repeat myself) scream even more about more whistleblowers, and the topic is still the horrible conversation with the Ukraine prez.

262 Obama withdrew troops and everything went to hell in a handbasket.

What is the definition of "Hell in a Handbasket"?

Because while the US was killing off its youth in Korea and Vietnam, China was slaughtering up to 250 million of its own people - and the US did absolutely nothing to interfere (even though we bailed out China from Japan's aggression)

Furthermore, these people are savages who have been slaughtering each other since Ishamel was kicked out of Abraham's camp.

I'm trying to figure out exactly why I should care, and how many dead Americans and billions of tax dollars we are supposed to sacrifice to put off the inevitable.

Its sort of like California demanding that people can't clear out the kindling and dried brush so that when the inevitable fire comes, it is absolutely devastating.

US presence in that theater is keeping the kindling and dried brush around.

Senate Rs would line up to pass it, because GOP beaks get very wet in wars.

And if it was "Pelosi's War," then the Dem voters wouldn't complain because it's their own people pushing it.

But the Dem politicians would see to it that that state of affairs lasts exactly until the next (R) President, when it would suddenly become of the utmost importance to end this senseless (R) war.

They'd probably go for it, because as always, these protracted conflicts that never achieve results are in the interest of both wings of the Uniparty.

If it had been President RD, not Clinton, they would have had armor and artillery to back them up.

If Blackhawk Down happened, 48-72 hours later there would have been a separate operation. Go into Mogadishu four to six blocks by ten blocks, clear the residents, set up kill zones, and invite the jihadis to the dance. Introduce them to machine guns, mortars, and naval gunfire; with a rotating CAP of AC-130's to bust up these gangs.

Keep killing them until they break, then run down the losers as they flee.

The Crusades are as poorly understood by what gets upchucked by the state run indoctrination daycare centers as anything else, but there are lots of good books available on the fascinating topic. One of the least emphasized benefits is how it, ironically, opened up trade with the east and introduced Western Europe to things at low prices that had formerly been prohibitively expensive if even available.

Otherwise, messing around in their countries is counter-productive. There are all manner of things we could do other than invade Muslim countries that would be far more beneficial.

329 It's pretty obvious that the Crusades were mostly motivated by religious sentiment (with the possible exception of the Fourth, which was eventually derailed by the way it was financed/debt). It was enormously costly to go on crusade and involved leaving one's lands in the hands of others while one was away for an extended period of time to engage in an uncertain, dangerous endeavor. Very few ever gained lands by doing so. And most were eager to return home at the first opportunity.

I would suggest you read Doctor Jonathan Riley-Smith's work on the subject. You might also acquaint yourself with Raymond of Toulouse, one of the leaders of the First Crusade and who just happened to be the largest landowner in France at the time.

The crusaders actually did pretty well with logistics, all things considered, and they learned very fast. The steadily increasing ability of Europe to raise large amounts of money and move large numbers of men long distances is one of the seldom-noted aspects of the crusades.

392 There were no Crusades against fellow Christians. There was a Crusade against the Cathars in southern France but the Cathars were evil. I mean, literally a cult of death which thought marriage was sinful.

The Fourth Crusade was supposed to be against Egypt but it got diverted, in a farcical series of money-raising schemes. First by Venice to some town in Dalmatia whose name I've already forgotten, then by a butthurt prince of the Angeloi exiled from Constantinople. It was never supposed to be against Christians but it ended up that way. The Pope himself excommunicated the idiots involved.

453 The Church had a complicated relationship with secular authorities. Often the Church clashed with local rulers over issues such as who had authority to fill ecclesiastical appointments. Local lords liked to give away particularly juicy bishophorics and dioceses to favorites. The Inquisition was started in large part because the Church sought to remove questions of heresy from the secular legal system.

I never meant to imply that there weren't rich participants bankrolling it but I think you're overstating how smoothly things went as far as feeding the mammoth number of people along the way, particularly going through areas where agriculture wasn't able to produce surpluses. Even Constantinople shit their britches at what to do with them.

The First Crusade had issues, but given that the force was several times the size of a typical large army of the time (William the Conqueror had 5000 men at Hastings, whereas the Crusaders had 20,000 or so) I think that just getting that army through Anatolia was a pretty big achievement. By the third Crusade they seem to have pretty much nailed moving armies across continents.

John French has written a book specifically on the logistics of the First Crusade, but while I own it I haven't yet read it. Given his other work I have read, I suspect that it is pretty good.

560 That was weird. I got home from work, turned on my computer, and I had no internet connection. I unplugged and replugged the modem and router, but still nothing. So I went downstairs for awhile to read, and also listen to the news radio station to see if Comcast was having an outage.

I didn't hear anything, so after a while I went back upstairs figuring I'd have to call Comcast. The computer was still on, but the screen was black. I tried restarting it a couple of times, and nothing. Now I thought I had a hardware problem, but I didn't know what was wrong or even how to go about finding out what was wrong.

I shut it off in despair and went back downstairs. After another hour I went back upstairs and tried turning it on again. This time everything worked. I have no idea what that was all about.
