A Message for "Exhausted" Alleged Conservatives
A few weeks back, certain NeverTrumpers sized upon the new Twitter meme -- all these people do is repeat crap they see on twitter -- that our current politics is "exhausting," and Trump is "exhausting," and we're all so "exhausted."
They said this in service of pushing their day-in, day-out Obsessive Compulsive Narrative: Say, don't you agree we should give the election to the Democrats, as we've urged now for the third election running? I mean, if we just give the Democrats everything they want, then we won't be so "exhausted," because then the Democrats will leave us alone, and we can go back to hammering checks on the Paycheck Conservative Grift. Grifters pushing this "exhausted" line were Erick Erickson and Seth Mandel, though many, many of the Twitter Friends Club got around to repeating the Group Meme. You know, as these daring, independent, and brilliant minds are always just repeating things they saw on the one thing that gives their pathetic lives value, Twitter. It was so obnoxious, and so transparently a marketing meme agreed to behind the scenes, that people began parodying it. In discussion groups I belong to, we now frequently say things are "exhausting" and how "exhausted" we are and so on. You guys? When you mock my crocs, my messenger bag, or my shelving skills -- you are so exhausting. I'm plum exhausted. I'm just pooped. Now, I don't know this Adam Muceus includes Mollie Hemingway John Nolte and other definitely non-exhausted troopers in this tweet, but I take his point in referring to the Paycheck Conservatives and their "Exhausted" marketing campaign. Maybe he saw them parodying the "so exhausting" attempt at a Twitter meme? Maybe he didn't realize they were sarcastically mocking the "so exhausted" stalwarts? Not sure.I am a christian political conservative american living in flyover country (OHIO). I will most likely never make six figures doing radio, TV, or writing about politics. I will most likely never run for high office of any kind. I want to send a message to all conservative pundits and republican office holders about the current state of our movement. I saw a tweet this morning stating that many republicans and conservatives are getting tired of fighting battles with media and the democrat party over @realDonaldTrump. I thought about that idea for a few minutes and I then got angry. I then thought about it for a few minutes and decided you all need to know something. What you all do for a living isn't manual labor or back breaking work, and if making six figures every year to host a daily radio show is too hard for you, then please quit. My Gosh, you sound like whiny little rich kids who didn't get the latest iphone. And you know what the dumbest part of this all is, you think this will go away when Trump is gone. It's like you don't remember Reagan being hounded, Bush being called Hilter, or every conservative in this country being called a racist homophobic dumb ass daily by these crazy pagans on the left in media and politics for 30 years. They will come after Pence, or any official who wants to end their worship of child killing with the same amount of fury as trump. The truth is simple. The media are the enemy of the american people, it's now just straight up leftist propaganda that wants to destroy us. If you don't get that by now, you are too stupid to be a thought leader in our movement anyway. There are millions of us normal american's out here in fly over country who want to be defended. If you aren't up to the task, then I humbly ask you to quit your easy gig and move over, we can fend for ourselves now. And to those who are out there fighting this insanity with us, I say thanks and keep up the good work.He added:

when they were first doing their Exhausted Viral Marketing Meme, people did push back, noting this. Someone said the only thing they were actually "exhausted" by was the notion that they were now expected to actually fight back and fight for the people paying them money to do so instead of just sitting around sipping tea together.

For every media shill, there are thousands of supporters that will disavow no end of freedoms in return for whatever illusion of security they are offered. This includes access to food and water, energy, employment - you name it. They will accept any train of abuses to avoid social unrest - and will turn in anyone who threatens the same.
And yes - those people truly are exhausted. They would rather lose than fight - and insist that everyone else lose right along with them. They will cajole, scold, nag, beg, plead, insist, and otherwise demand that - even if it means dying quietly in place - nobody else threaten their perceived security.
Fighting is ugly - but they perceive compliance as not only easy but safe. Those are the dangerous people. Their opinions should be ignored - the sooner the better.

PGA Tour members are the most Republican group you will find in major sport. Last time I saw a poll they were about 80 percent Repub. That was a couple decades ago but I wold guarantee they are 70 percent to this day.

Groups like National Review have often said that they do much better (donations, readers, support) when their party is out of power. All the conservative media always used to talk about Republican administrations as "the lean years."
And of course CNN is famous for thriving during war and crisis. Both Left and Right are taking different actions but with same goal.
So my theory, or really more of a perspective, is that these groups naturally try to frame things in the way that is in their interests. Opposing Trump is good for business (F*ck America) and having a constant crisis is good for business. This is an underlying force field or current driving the news.
These guys look around after every administration change and try to find a position which is best for their revenue. Yeah, the never trump donors and spots on TV where they get to play agreeable republican play a role, but only after they first align themselves in a way to maximize their potential.
Not just now, but during last administration everything had to be a crisis. Every shooting, every dead turtle, etc. bumblefuk was protected from criticism on both sides but still they needed a hook to drive every day's news so they found other stuff.
Trump is just an easy target. It is like the bottom feeder investigative journalist going to the restaurant and looking for slime in the ice machine. They don't have to work to attack Trump because he is not made of chocolate, or gay, or whatever. He is one of us - the producing class - but also one of them - vain, rich, cosmopolitan - so easy to attack and extra points because it distances themselves from what they are. Most of the media today is just a bunch of idiot salesmen trying to convince us to buy their latest line. It is no longer news, but late night TV infomercials for crisis and drama.

I was going to work in campaign finance once. Studied it extensively, even wrote a short paper on some of the aspects of how 503's and 504's can interlink.
At the end, though, I was overwhelmed with the realization that not only was the system corrupt, it had been built from the ground up to *be* corrupt. And that every single politician from either party who's run a professional campaign not only has a hand in the corruption, but is completely aware of how corrupt everyone in it is.
I ended up learning enough that I became too disgusted to have anything more to do with it.

He'd been cheating on her, openly and flagrantly and often, for years before the Monica crap. Hillary knew it, and so did everybody else. Hell, Hillary had actively aided and abetted it by being the bimbo wrangler for the ones who threatened Bill's career rise.
By the time of the Monica shit, Hillz had way too much invested in the political partnership with Bill to just walk away. And she knew he was always going to be more popular than her despite his lechery, so playing the wronged but loyal spouse to the public dupes was the easiest, and likely most lucrative, path for her to choose.
Hillary knew that once they were out of the White House, she could get her own place and they wouldn't have to spend as much time pretending to be a couple --which is exactly what happened. She bought herself a house in Georgetown and ran for senate, and she and Bill were rarely ever in the same place for more than a few minutes for years. They occasionally had a photo opp or two for the rubes, but they essentially lived separate lives, which is still how they operate, even though they both do it from the Chappaqua place now.
There was nothing "gutsy" about what Hillary did. She just evaluated her options and decided that staying married (or at least keeping up the pretense of marriage) would better serve her interests. And she had enough money (thanks to the years of graft and the corruption of the "charitable" Clinton foundation) that she could make that choice knowing she'd rarely have to have anything to do with creepy, lecherous Bill.

I remain convinced the two parties agree on one thing - there should always be just their two parties.
As the internet makes communication more and more available to everyone - I look for the parties to crack down on the internet ... in order to stifle any third party advertising.
And I look for TV and Radio to be artificially made more expensive via regulation - to again stifle any third party who, by definition, will be less well funded.

Story time!
A few years back, I was at the farmer's market getting some ostrich because mmm ostrich. I was chatting with the guy who runs the ostrich farm when this super duper hippie chick wanders over with her boyfriend. She sees the ostrich farm sign and starts going on and on and on about how great it is to eat local source food and heritage vegetables and to eat what is native to the area. I finally could take no more and dead panned "Yes, like the great native ostrich flocks of North Carolina".
Ostrich owner guy had to turn away because he couldn't stop laughing and her boyfriend had to do the cough laugh thing and she just blinked at me and oh yes just like that!
In her defense, she was hot enough to be that stupid.

It's become increasingly exhausting with this constant political sparring. Both sides are equally guilty of it and we need someone to emerge who can be a unifier. If the President continues to abrogate his responsibility to keep us together, no matter what our race, national origin of creed, perhaps he should contemplate stepping aside for someone who would rise to the occasion.
In encounters with respected men of good will on both sides of the aisle, I have heard similar thoughts.
We need to send a message to our adversaries that we are ONE people.
