I wrote that. I mean, that one's mine. Sure, I derived it from actual cucks explaining why it was so thrilling to put your wife into bed with another man, but I repurposed it as an ethic of "Frenchism" -- the fact that you are so willing to be humiliated and denigrated -- that you are brave enough to be such a coward; that you are man enough to be willingly made eunuch; that by transforming yourself into a groveling, servile worm, you really re-make yourself into a mighty dragon (of virtue signalling) -- is part of the secret thrill.

Couldn't be prouder.

Today it is a fault that "the shame is part of the kink" doesn't appear in Nietzsche's genealogy of morals. He won't quite "go there" in his probes of the psychological imperative to convert erotic urges into ethical principles that defines so much of contemporary life.
Our contemporary sexual psychology now leads key critics of French-style defenses of "muh principles" to trace the genealogy of today's worship of procedural liberalism not to "slave morality," as Nietzsche would have it, but to "cuck morality:"
Yes, another man should take my wife, I should go live in the shed, it is right, it is moral, it is justice... To live rightly, I must prevent posterity from being identical with me...

Of course Christianity and cuckoldry are not good metaphors for each other. No good Christian can embrace cuckoldry.
But the charge of cuckery, leveled against Christians like French, has to do with the perceived untenableness today of staking out a middle position between the Benedict Option of evacuating from fronts collapsing in the culture war and the yet-to-be-named option of reasserting powerful constitutional authority for localities to resist and reject colonization by the revolutionary vanguard of institutionalized wokeness.
Because there is just no question that the aim of that institutional vanguard is to choke off America's production of a certain kind of adult male and the architecture of social order that radiates upward from him toward the heights of authority.
This project is out in the open and the reams of academic and ideological writing about its details and justifications are widely available. The metaphor of cuckoldry is selected to the exclusion of all others because nothing else quite as effectively sharpens the charge that your obsession with the details of honor and principle has in fact become fatally abstract: you are being kicked out of your own house by a rival power actively working to take away everything that is yours, your children included. And that's probably the worst thing you can say about an officer in the military - they'd simply get you killed and not advance the mission at all.

You can't just "serve" and be given the douvt that you served well - you're presence isn't enough. You needed to be a "good" officer - which was the highest praise you'd ever receive from the enlisted you lead - worth more than any dumb ass medal.

I understand. My husband grew up in a liberal, anti-gun family in Atlanta. When my AF dad died, he left us all his guns, and for some insane reason, I let my husband sell/get rid of them all.

Having a war vet son, my husband and I have had an awakening about how important it is to embrace our Second Amendment rights. My husband now owns an AR (gifted to him by our son), and we have other guns that may or may not end up in the bottom of our Atlantic shoreline.

It's really important to get training from your best local indoor or outdoor range. Learn to properly handle and respect (an love) your gun(s).

"Do you agree with the DC vs Heller decision in regards to protecting the individual right to bear arms that are in common use and which are utilized for lawful purposes?" Biden was asked.

"The answer is," Biden said. "If I were on the Court I wouldn't make the same ruling. Okay?"

The Heller ruling, which was decided 5-4, confirmed the individual right to keep and bear arms is protected by the Second Amendment.

"The Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home," the 2008 Supreme Court ruling states.

"It has always been widely under�stood that the Second Amendment, like the First and Fourth Amendments, codified a pre-existing right. The very text of the Second Amendment implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and declares only that it 'shall not be infringed,'" the late Justice Antonin Scalia stated in his majority opinion. "There seems to us no doubt, on the basis of both text and history, that the Second Amendment conferred an individual right to keep and bear arms."

Biden's comments come at a time when Democrats are vowing to confiscate lawfully owned firearms through government force.

Back when I wasn't a semi-voluntary celibate, when I was about, I dunno, 27, I got to chatting with an early/mid 30s chick online. She didn't have kids yet and she seemed nice, and she was very active in various local stuff - the rodeo for one - she had her own home, didn't seem like a loser (and no, she wasn't a loser).

So I went up to visit, and we got along well, I tagged along as she went to that rodeo she was helping to run, we went back to her place, kissed goodnight but that was all. First date etc.

AtC would understand.

The NEXT morning, I got up; and she was fussing around doing errands. I was of course hoping for more date-type stuff; maybe a visit to a museum, or a movie, anything. Failing that I offered to help.

But no. I was stuck there in her house watching this lady fuss around with, I don't know what. I felt totally worthless.

After a couple hours of this I just said bye and went home. Didn't see her again. I got second-hand comments that she liked our time together but I just remembered feeling like an interloper for hours.

I used to work at a hotel with lots of business class travelers, primarily in healthcare cuz the hospital was our biggest business (helped that it was practically next door). I was the overnight guy closing out the business day. Being a hotel, we naturally had the Spanktravision.
