Rumor: IG Reports Are Being Circulated in the DOJ and Say That the FISA Warrants Were Obtained ILLEGALLY

This seems to be claimed most emphatically by Joe DiGenova, who has been wrong in his predictions before.

But you know-- that just means he's due.

On Monday, Washington lawyer and former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova told Washington’s WMAL that, "I can report categorically that the inspector general has found that all four FISA warrants were illegal. They were based on false information supplied to the FISA Court. And Michael Horowitz has concluded that all four FISA warrants were illegal."

DiGenova participated in the Washington Examiner‘s Examining Politics podcast just after the IG's report on Comey's conduct was released. He told the panel the IG's report on FISA abuse is "being circulated inside and outside of the department for comment by interested parties."

Perhaps that's why Jerry Nadler (D-NY), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee has doubled down on his efforts to impeach Trump this week. It sounds as if a large number of Washington insiders are privy to the results of the report.

152 >>What? They've got some kind of "Queensberry Rules" for DOJ investigations?

It's not just DOJ. Every Executive branch agency has an IG although under Obama they were rendered pretty much ineffective. Why that hasn't received more publicity at least on conservative blog and media is frustrating to me since it made much of the criminality in the Obama administration possible.

The job of the IG is to investigate and if they find what they believe is illegal activity they make a referral to the DOJ. One way or another, the target is given a copy of the report so they know what they are or aren't being accused of.

Not everything a target might be investigated for is illegal. Some may just be against department policy. Maybe a firing offense but not illegal. And maybe just a reprimand but this gives the accused the information so they can respond.

No, sadly. It's also how you know the rule of law is no longer applicable. Crime is sorta based on punishment.

But, if you never enforce it, treason ceases to be against the law. You can commit it openly and not only will you never have to worry about being charged, your "punishment" will be a very lucrative book deal and guest TV appearances, followed by a multi-million dollar contributor gig for one of Progda's many media wings for the rest of your life.

158 Just read Flynn's Motion to Compel posted below.

It is a thing of beauty and is the final thing that convinces me that the entire Flynn prosecution is actually a counter-Intel Op that Flynn, Trump and Rosenstein hatched within days of Adm. Mike Rogers telling Trump he was being spied on.

Rogers knew about all ongoing ops the FBI was doing, including the spying on Flynn simce 2015.

Jimmy "Drama Queen" @Comey used Russian government disinformation provided by Trubnikov and Surkov, buddies of Vlad Putin, through Steele, to spy on the Trump Team. He's now the Dumbest Civil Servant in US History.

And Trump, Rosie, Flynn and Rogers had to know that McCabe was setting up Flynn to get to Trump (as Flynn's Motion quotes McCabe "First we fuck Flynn, then we fuck Trump".

The Judge is going to order the documents Flynn is demanding to be produced. When the government still doesn't produce them (because how can they? If they do, the whole sordid charade is at an end and all fingers point to Ex-Prez'nit Cock-Curious, AKA The Emperor Shit-Midas as the worst, most outlaw president we habe eve had), the Judge will have no choice but to dismiss the charges against Flynn.

Then Flynn gets to sue EVERYBODY.

I'd prefer that Flynn gets to take on Jim "My Mittle Pony" @Comey, Andy McCabe, James Clapper, and John "Angry Commie Garden Gnome" Brennan in Trial by Combat, but a lawsuit will have to do.

McCabe was referred over a year ago. His case has already been heard by a grand jury. We have had no news on what happened there.

We found out that Comey was referred a few weeks ago when the report in him was released. As The Jerkstore has noted it has been speculated that the DOJ did not go after him for leaking because it was a borderline case and they wanted to go after him for much more serious crimes that are more black and white.

The IG investigates. He does not indict or prosecute. The DOJ does that.

Barr is not Holder or Lynch. I think it's pretty naive to think the guy who was brought in specifically to deal with this mess, who said in Congress during his hearing that spying did take place which almost cause a couple Democrat Senators to shit themselves on live TV and who brought on a prosecutor whose specialty is public corruption and who has already tossed FBI guys in prison in the past is just going to bury everything.

It was widely reported this summer that based on the work Durham and Horowitz were doing more witnesses were coming forward and those who had already been interviewed were seeking to be re-interviewed to clean up their lies, aka modify their testimony.

I don't know. How long does it take to investigate the biggest political scandal in our countries history that includes multiple federal agencies including cabinet level officials and at least 6 foreign agents and/or governments? I gotta think it's more than the average whodunit.

I amuse myself by trolling leftwing blogs from time to time. I can tell you that while we might know what went on almost none of them do. And that goes for most of the Independent and less than political types.

This is also a political exercise. The cases need to be be rock solid or the media and the left will work overtime to frame them as political hits. We are almost at the finish line, might as well see it through.

It's an iterative process. You find evidence and gather testimony, and leverage it to get more evidence against more people. Repeat.

These investigations began about three years ago, at best, and have had to overcome the ongoing efforts of the previous administration to conceal what they did while also countering an ongoing coup against a sitting President.

It takes as long as it takes to do it properly, because the alternative is that you've blown your only chance. I don't think a couple years is excessive.
