They Hate Us...Maybe We Should Start Accepting That And Respond Accordingly
Samuel Gompers was once asked what he wanted for the American labor movement and American labor, and his answer was simple, "More." And that is exactly what the modern Left wants too, but in this case it is a true zero-sum game, and we are across the table from them. Everything they want is at our expense, everything they desire is ours, and they want to deprive us of so many things...our wealth, our freedom, our safety, our defense against tyranny...
But it's not just their obvious desire for power and control that drives them. They have internalized all of the class hatred and envy from every psychotic progressive movement in their political philosophy, and have made that hate the primary driver of everything they attempt. We saw it exposed with Hillary Clinton's infamous "Deplorables" speech in 2016, and before that in Obama's "Bitter Clinger" remarks eight years earlier. But it is now accepted in polite company to express this hatred and disgust for half the country. What shocks them to the core is when our president doesn't just meekly accept the vile and vicious and contemptuous prattle, and responds with forceful condemnations of the people who spout this hatred. Make no mistake; this is not just political disagreement. This is a fundamental dislike and rejection of the culture, ethics, beliefs and morality of half of America. They Will Still Hate You Even If You DisarmIt was quite a surprise to find out that we Trump voters were personally responsible for the savage murder sprees of a creep who dug single-payer and a satanist fan of Big Chief Warren. The El Paso scumbag decided he wanted to murder Hispanics because migration would somehow destroy the environment, which falls right in line with classical progressive eugenics balderdash. The Democrat from Dayton was full-on #Resistance. But apparently we conservatives were to blame for their actions because we refuse to give up our rights.The 2nd Amendment is just the most obvious and important chip on the table. But if they get that one, does anyone believe that they will stop? The next right they want to destroy is free speech, which is coupled with freedom of religion. And after that? Who knows? Property rights are mostly gone already, so your guess is as good as mine. What's the answer? Well, I know what isn't the answer, and that is how the Republican Party has dealt with these attacks for a generation. I am through with tolerating personal attacks on my beliefs, and that means attacking the Constitution and in particular the 1st and 2nd Amendments. Yes, I take it personally now, and I won't back down. The Left and their willing fools have had uncontested control over the public square for too long. Push back wherever you can. That is actually an interesting legal point, I don't know how a court would have decided, but he could have raised this issue at an appeals level, and he had a chance of it being accepted. The original deal he was given was pretty sweet, and it's questionable whether the feds could just say "never mind" like they did.

I think we can guess now what Hess was up to, and why Churchill (and the Brit government ever since) has worked hard to block any access to anything he had to say. As soon as that was done, Edward and his supporters in the upper classes (very numerous, and in key positions) were going to order that Great Britain stand down from all military operations, and conclude a peace treaty with the 3rd Reich.
Churchill and the rest thought that information about this willful collaboration on the part of Edward would have been far too damaging to the Royal Family, possible fatal to the Monarchy itself, so they have always done all they could to suppress it by any means possible.

Trump isn't pardoning Blago, he's simply considering commuting his sentence to the amount of time he's already served (7 years). Blago's conviction would still stand, plus, because of his impeachment and conviction by the IL General Assembly, he's banned for life from holding any public office in IL, so no chance that he would be running for mayor of Chicago. (Though he could, at least in theory, still run for a federal office like Congresscritter or even, God forbid, POTUS.)
Clemency for Blago could potentially cost Trump some GOP votes in downstate IL, but since Trump's not gonna win the IL electoral vote anyway it wouldn't materially affect his chances of winning reelection.
