The Morning Rant

talking ape.jpg

"The Democrats have always been a racist party. From the rise of the KKK, to lynching, to segregation, to the Jim Crow laws, it's been Democrats who've been the lead actors. Racism is inextricably entwined in the DNA of the Democratic Party. The only reason the Democrats get black votes is that LBJ greatly expanded welfare benefits during his term in office. He did not do this out of the goodness of his heart (of which he had none), but instead, it was a move of pure cynicism to buy their votes. And it worked. Anyway, my point is, the Democrats have always been about racism yesterday, racism today, and racism forever.

"Don't believe me? Listen to what Jihad Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley had to say at the recent Nutroots Nation convention in Philadelphia. She's part of a far-left group of rat bastard commies called the Justice Democrats, whose goal it is to get even more commie swine elected to public office. In describing the type of candidates they're looking for, she said, quote, we don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice," she said. "We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice, unquote.

"So what did she mean by a "brown | black | queer | Muslim voice"? Obviously, potential Justice Democrat candidates better do what Pressley says, and say things that she wants them to say, in order to qualify as an authentic voice for their grievance group. But the idea that there is only one authentic voice per grievance group is straight up racism. There can be no differences? There can be no diversity? How can that be described any other way but racist?

"You know, I'm old enough to remember when minorities used to complain about "stereotyping." Well, this is some serious stereotyping, imposed in quite a totalitarian fashion. It reminds me of that ridiculous feminist who wrote that ridiculous article during the 2008 election season that argued that Sarah Palin wasn't actually a woman. Because she wasn't down for the struggle with the rest of the sisterhood.

"If Martin Luther King were alive today, he'd be thrown out of the Democratic Party for being a racist. If Malcolm X were alive today, he'd be pilloried for acting white. If Caesar Chavez were alive today, he'd be ostracized for also being a racist because he was adamantly opposed to illegal immigration. These are the end result of the identity politics which have corrupted the Democratic Party to the core, and there doesn't seem to be any way to stop it from continuing. And I have yet to hear any sane Democrat protest the insanity. "

Friday Shoe Pr0n:

shoe pr0n 20190809.jpg

Recipe

Thanks to moron commenter 'Off the reservation' who went looking for it, it turns out that the food pr0n I posted on Wednesday came from a recipe site. So, here it is:

Bacon Bourbon BBQ Chicken Kebabs

16 oz barbecue sauce
1/4 cup bourbon
2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1" pieces
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons paprika
3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
6 slices raw bacon, cut into small pieces

1.Light the grill and heat to medium-high

2.In a small bowl, combine the BBQ sauce and bourbon. Mix well.

3.In a food processor, combine the kosher salt, white pepper, onion powder, paprika, garlic powder, dark brown sugar, smoked paprika, and bacon. Pulse until completely smooth.

4.Put the chicken thigh pieces in a bowl and then rub with the bacon paste. Once well-coated, thread the chicken thigh pieces onto skewers (pre-soaked, if they’re wooden).

5.Place the kebabs on the preheated grill. Cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until nearly cooked through.

6.Brush the kebabs with the bourbon barbecue sauce and cook for an additional minute on each side.

7.Serve with the remaining BBQ sauce.

107 I read a comment last night that was posted late in the Sooper Seekret Russia Collusion Pitch Meeting thread, asking about one of Bongino's episodes where he elucidates that the whole thing was previously set up, but didn't work that previous time. Can't find the specific episode, but here is what Bongino (who calls this operatoin the "Movie Script") said:

1. Glenn Simpson (FusionGPS) wrote an Op Ed in the WSJ in 2007/2008 about "Russians Trying To Gain Influence in US Politics (or words to that effect)";

2. The Op Ed connected a bunch of Russian named folks to several folks in McCain's campaign, and many of those Russian names were the same names we heard about in the 2016/2017 version of the story. I think Manafort is also mentioned;

3. There started to be other mentions in the press about surreptitious contacts between "Russians" and members of the McCain team;

4. President W, not being a fucking traitorous cock-curious shit Midas like Obama, immediately let McCain know what NSA, CIA and FBI knew about these "Russians", and McCain publicly distanced himself from anyone associated with Russia and Russians;

5. The FBI/CIA/NSA under W, not being seditious typewriter-humping, gun-dropping would-be 007 Fails, DIDN'T take all the stories that were swirling in the press about this bullshit to the FISA Court and get a Warrant to spy on someone in the McCain campaign to use the Two Hop Rule to gain access to every single piece of communication between members going back to the beginning of time, and DIDN'T start pushing spies into the McCain camp to set up "collusion";

6. The scandal died, and McCain went on to lose the election because he was a shitty, self-centered, arrogant jackass who pissed on Conservatives as if from a tall mountain.

Bongino's thesis is basically that "They" ran this Op once before, but were stymied by W, and they ran it again against Trump and St. Comey the Retard and The Dogeater were too stupid AND corrupt AND evil not to try to destroy Trump with it.

Maybe so, but Trump can go to every major city run by DemonRats in this next election cycle and give a speech that lays out the true history of the Ds, and challenges minority voters to finally see who the Dems are and to abandon them.

Telling the truth the DemonRats, including how Planned Parenthood was started by a virulent, genocidal racist and which puts its clinics in minority areas in order to "serve" the minority communities by killing disproportionately more of their babies than white babies, would be bound to peel off a significant percentage of black and Hispanic voters from the Evil party.

179 Reading the census notes on Vermont is intereting. The state added nearly 50% to its population between !950 and 2000, due to inward migration. Bernie himself arrived during this period from Brooklyn. The state has the oldest workforce in the country (at 42.3), indicative of an aging population, and one of the lowest birthrates (essentially tied with Rhode Island and Massachusetts in last place). Inward migration, such as it is, is making hte state even older. It has the highest divorce rate among the states. It is unusually white, at nearly 95%, and mostly unaffiliated with any religion. The largest combined urban area (incorporating all of greater Burlington) contains around 200,000 people. Most of the state is small settled areas and the state is the 30th most densely populated.

In other words, a perfect breeding ground for Bernies brand of "make the young people in Texas pay for my healthcare as I age".

193 Maybe so, but Trump can go to every major city run by DemonRats in this next election cycle and give a speech that lays out the true history of the Ds, and challenges minority voters to finally see who the Dems are and to abandon them.

I would like to think so, but I suspect the Left would pack the are with their rent-a-mobs of the right colors, and Trump would be made to look bad. Trump is better off tweeting.

239 I've often said something similar to this, that multiculturalism is just an apartheid mentality with a little spin to make it palatable to those who have never given it a closer look.

Its proponents demand that you adhere to a heavily stereotyped caricature of your race, or you're a race-traitor. If you enjoy something originated by another culture, that's cultural appropriation. Its only function is to prevent people from assimilating.

Where do those of us mixed-race individuals fit under this system? We don't fit at all. We are told that we have to choose one set of ancestors over another. I refuse. They made me who I am, they passed the torch faithfully across the aeons that I might live, so I honor them all.

It's often applied to explain why the states in the South stopped voting solid Democrat and started voting Republican. But take Texas, for example - when you look at what actually happened, Texas Republicans today support almost identical policies as Texas Democrats supported in the 1950's and 1960's. Voters stayed the same, the Democrat Party decided to go far left and ignore what the voters wanted, in exchange for the money they were getting from the 2 coasts. Texas and the South were *never* far left liberal places; the Democrats didn't used to be, either.

Put another way - John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan supported virtually identical social and economic policies.

265 And happy - er, well, today is Nagasaki day.

Due to cloud cover they missed the aimpoint - an ancient bridge near the port - by a country mile, and some. Which turned out best for both sides, as it reduced casualties and the raid achieved its purpose anyway. By chance it was a direct hit [not really relevant with nukes in most cases, but anyway] on a large military industrial target, a factory.

An amazing story is that after the surrender, just at the very beginning of the occupation, before the ceremony on the Missouri, members of the crew of "Bock's Car", which dropped the bomb, did their own self-authorized [heh] trip to Nagasaki to check it out - before even the official investigative team, in ships off shore, was authorized to land.

They just flew their own transports from Tinian, landed as close as the could [after stopping over in Tokyo and partying a bit, and also being chased off the airbase where newly arrived troops were setting up the first American center of operations]. The 5O9th had a bit of swagger due to their special circumstances and privileged position in the war effort, it would seem.

Highly highly recommend visiting Nagasaki when in Japan. Friendly like all of Japan, but also very historically important for Japan's ties to the west, dating back to the 17th century, and with a large Christian heritage. Beautiful setting, mellow pace, good food. Don't miss the Mitsubishi shipyard tour, extremely interesting.

267 234 You forgot the Trail of Tears. The work of Andrew Jackson. The founder of the Democrat Party
Posted by: Victor Tango Kilo at August 09, 2019 11:52 AM (PIF9T)

Jackson's plan was far less harsh than what was carried out. His intent was not to inflict undue hardship, but to save the Natives from the destruction caused by continual encroachment and conflict, much of it sponsored by state governments that wanted their land developed and taxed. It was not supposed to be a genocide, but to prevent one.

Much of the blame for the Trail of Tears as carried out belongs with people like Winfield Scott.

George Wallace stayed a dem. Roberty Byrd. Clinton's mentor was a segregationist. Biden has a history. As others have suggested, ask for examples of all these Democrats who supposedly switched to voting Republican. Also why then do Democrats not love Calvin Coolidge and Republicans not love Woodrow Wilson?

Finally, in regards to voting patterns, Democrats have dominated the black vote since the 1930s, when they were still explicitly very racist and associated with the KKK. Republicans made most of their in-roads in the South in the 1990s, and some areas still haven't had Republican governance ever, or since Reconstruction. Ask how that lines up with their theory of a sudden switch. in 1976, Jimmy Carter won the South.

352 Lastly, policy-wise Republicans haven't changed since the party was formed. The spectrum of views that exist within the party and debates are largely the same as they were before the Civil War.

Calvin Coolidge and Warren Harding are excellent examples of the small government conservatism wing. Hoover, Nixon, Teddy Roosevelt, good examples of more technocratic-progressive Republicans(McCarthy was actually one of these types).

363 "The Democrats have always been a racist party. Anyway, my point is, the Democrats have always been about racism yesterday, racism today, and racism forever."

Here's an unpleasant thought--what if that's because it works?
Posted by: Monty James at August 09, 2019 11:56 AM (Zqz9o)

It does work.

History proves that over and over.

However, it's a deeply cynical and evil ploy.

The Democrats care nothing about America as a country, an idea, or a people.

America and it's people are simply a piggy bank to shatter and collect the money.

They believe they will control the chaos they unleash and float on top, while all the suckers in their fragmented racial, religious, sexual groups fight it out.

and they may be right.

I suspect things will eventually shake out worse for them than they ever could possibly have imagined.

The working and middle class of America are the organized doers, makers and if they truly feel their children (Hellooooooo, racist Dims!) and themselves threatened, they will act and act decisively.

This isn't a wish or dream or anything. It's a nightmare. But, it's what they seem to want.

Idiots.

364 Trump is ambling towards disaster on "red flag" crap. He really has no moorings in this area - which is understandable, it hasn't been his interest or focus for years, unlike other policy areas. Check his twatters.

And he's not alone, which is the problem. The GOP, a disaster that is not being fixed in any respect, has many who are itching to do stupid unconstitutional things. [I crack myself up, "unconstitutional"! A term without practical meaning for years]

If the NRA's key required elements of any "red flag" restrictions are included in any law, it renders it not what people think they want ["think" used loosely here].

Yeah of course it's 1,237 dimensional chess, everything will be fine, blah blah blah. Things would be even finer if Trump didn't legitimize/pretend to share the emotional and ridiculous reactions of many people, which the authoritarians always are vying to exploit to destroy freedom, with no benefit WRT the underlying problem.

In my experience, Americans usually don't learn to "play the game." That is, develop the skills to fly below the radar when tyranny comes. It's understandable, culturally submitting has never been the ideal of heritage Americans, but tyranny is nonetheless here. Trump plays the game, possibly from having to deal with Third World autocracies and vast herds of people. Either you learn how, or go down fighting, either of which has my support. Yet the red flags are stopped by the Senate vacation. Giving the NRA, and yourself if you get involved, time to mobilize against this.

if the gov't went after antifa like the FBI and the groups, as well as the media, went after the KKK-

Bock's Car. It's on display at the Air Force Museum at Wright Pat outside of Dayton.

The bomb that actually ended the war, proving that Hiroshima wasn't a one-off stunt.

The Hiroshima bomb was a uranium gun-type bomb, which was allegedly "fool proof". You shoot Uranium 238 plug into a machined U-235 target piece. Boom.

The Nagasaki bomb was a plutonium implosion type bomb, which was what was tested at Almagordo, NM.
It was more technically tricky, but smaller in design.

I am for red flag laws as long as American citizens are treated no worse than Iran.

Under the Obama/Leftie red flag foreign policy philosophy, all I would have to do to pass a red flag test is to promise to use my weapons only for peaceful purposes for ten or so years. This red flag policy would excuse published kill lists, homophobia, maritime piracy and murder.

And as an added bonus, the US Govt. would airlift me pallets of cash.

Because I'm not homophobic, don't have kill lists, don't steal boats and have not killed people, I wouldn't be red-flagged. Just send the cash. 20s, 50s and 100s please. Prefer nighttime or early morning delivery.
