Online Rumors: Turkish Islamist Tyrant Erdogan Is Reported to be in Stable Condition, Because Dead is as Stable As It Gets

Just rumors, though.

Still, just in case...

The thing is, given that Erdogan's rule rests largely on fear and his position as a strongman who routinely arrests dissidents -- the Turkish government will have to provide proof of life shortly, lest the general public start getting rowdy.

The longer we go without proof of life -- with him referring to the day's news or holding a newspaper, etc. -- the more solid this rumor looks.

We'll see. Might be disproved within twenty minutes.

But if not...

52 He broke the "Turkey government is Secular, not Islamic" mold and messed with threatening Europe with flooding the Eruo zone with muzzies

To be fair, it was the EU that broke the secular Turkish arrangement by telling Turkey that they couldn't even be considered for EU membership (which the EU was never going to offer them, anyway) until they amended their constitution to take supreme power away from the secular military. That happened in 2003, which just happens to be when Turkey went rushing headlong down the islamist rabbit hole.

The EU just likes to fuck anything up they can ... because they're such fucking losers.

As an exercise, look at a map of Europe, circa 1970, and try to guess at the Warsaw Pact and NATO set up and why we would want the Dardenelles and Bosporous held by a NATO ally.
For God's sake, this is a smart military blog after all!

Then Erdogan's party started campaigning on anti-corruption and returning to Islam (never mind the contradiction) and started winning. They've made one Hagia Sophia (not thr Constantinople one) back into a mosque, and make noised aboit turning the Big One back intona mosque...

But without Erdogan there's going to be a succession fight, and some of the contenders will let out the "coup plotters" framed by Erdogan, and maybe, MAYBE Turkey will head back towards civilization.

295 Hey everybody, again.

Sorry to threadjack but with regard to all the talk here about the big MSM and online companies needing to be broken up, it's really come home to roost here at my own house.

Seems Frontier's service for us (landline phone, cable, internet) went completely kaput last week. I called and begged for their first available tech to come out. The last time, they could send someone out the next day. THIS time, they demanded we wait 5 days and refused to budge.

I and my sister found my mom can save $100/month switching to Spectrum for all three services, so we went ahead and ordered that. My sister decided she would let Frontier know we don't need service and don't want their service anymore, once the Spectrum service was installed.

My sister is now on the phone with a Frontier rep in tears, because although they'll cancel our service and the trouble ticket, they absolutely refuse to pro-rate the service this month. They demand they get their full bill paid next month, no matter what. They're obviously pissed that we went to another service provider.

IMHO this is outrageous. These companies can't get broken up fast enough.

358 Hi horde. This comment has nothing to do with either people dying or with Coors beer.

My sister had a chunk of her lung taken out last week. It turned out to be a stage I carcinoma and it was right in the same spot where my mother's lung cancer started. My mom died in '85 at the age of 62, before they could do lung scans. My sister is more fortunate.

She had a rough few days and is still sore, but I guess she's feeling better. She's having a beer (Heineken light) in the backyard right now with two of her friends.

Under the Kemal Ataturk model, Turkish government proceeded like this:

1) Democracy2) Islamists win, suspend democracy
3) Soldiers shoot Islamists, restore democracy

I'm not sure if there are still enough military officers loyal to the legacy of Ataturk to pull it off again, but it has definitely worked out that way before.

By giving medical care for free to people who do NOT show a passport to a CBP official at a port of entry, haven't they already de facto extended medical care to approximately 7 billion people?

Posted by: Catch Thirty-Thr33 at July 22, 2019 07:42 PM (rxWk4)

404 "I'm just looking forward to the traditional muzzie funeral procession where his body is upended and wrestled to the ground by masses of crazed mourners and his carcass is ass-raped by thousands of heartbroken acolytes who beat themselves in the head after the raping so that they bleed like fountains."

***********************
You've perfectly described the crazed and hysterical scene when the Ayatollah Khomeini died.

David Letterman spoofed it by whipping out one of those old-fashioned kids' toys shaped like a jar lid with clear plastic over it. Under the plastic was a disk perforated with several holes, and a small object sitting loosely on it.

The aim was to shake the toy around until the loose object nestled into one of the holes.

In Letterman's case, the holes in the disk were shaped like Kohmeini's open funeral bier, and the loose object was his wrapped-up corpse.

A close-up made sure you could see the "corpse" being shaken this way and that, never quite returning to its bier.

It was sacrilegious, of course, but in the spirit of the times, hilarious.

That was way back, when Letterman was still funny.

405 Has anyone else noticed how all commercials seem to feature black people or black & white couples except for the fried chicken commercials which only feature white people. Also, the pharmaceutical commercials and insurance all seem to include at least one male couple in their flash frames.

408 I was enlisted Air Force stationed in Greece. The folks stationed in Turkey frequently described it as a wonderful place to visit, and a horrible place to live. The thing we had trouble with as American kids wasn't that Greece and Turkey were especially anti-American, it was the way that they were insanely pro their own country, and so filled with hate for the other one. If you traveled back and forth installing equipment or the like, it was pretty much a guaranteed jail sentence to say "Turkish coffee" in Greece or "Greek coffee" in Turkey. There were countless other little traps I don't remember (it was 1975).

409 The currency futures on the Turkish Lira haven't made any drastic moves, so the money guys aren't putting any faith in this news. If there were any truth to it, we'd have seen a pretty drastic move in the USD/TKY exchange rate by now.

So, unfortunately, pronouncements of The Sultan's death do seem to be a bit premature.

410 Methinks he is about to announce his candidacy for the 2020 Dem nomination. He is pandering to the dead vote, which is very large in some key precincts.

411 Evidence in media suggests there is no rampant racism except in politics. Men are portrayed as imbeciles but they aren't marketing to men so......

413 With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems of plagorism
or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of completely unique content I've
either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping
it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any ways to help protect
against content from being ripped off? I'd definitely appreciate it.

416 Its such as you read my mind! You seem to grasp so much about this,
like you wrote the book in it or something. I believe
that you can do with a few percent to force the message house a little bit,
but instead of that, this is great blog. A great read.
I will certainly be back.
