But I am concerned about a young man's welfare, so I do have to ask: will this upstanding young Aristocrat be bullied or abused in prison? Let's check the evidence:![]() After growing angry over the GOP’s handling of the nomination process he posted the personal info of Graham (R-SC), Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and now-former Utah Sen. Orrin hosta on Wikipedia. He then released the info about Kentucky Sens. McConnell and Paul. ... Cosko pleaded guilty to five felonies in April, including making public restricted personal information, computer fraud, witness tampering and obstruction of justice. US District Court Judge Thomas Hogan said the sentence is intended to signal that politically driven criminal harassment will be punished severely. "We have...a society that has become very vicious," Hogan said. "It's very concerning to the court and unfortunate that you played into that."Well, the prosecutors sought five years, and the judge knocked one year off, despite acknowledging that we have become a vicious society and this little twink's actions are both an example of that and a potential source of inspiration for other twink sociopaths. But judges always have to show themselves to "be fair and empathetic," at least when sentencing a well-connected rich Democrat. With Republicans, you put them in solitary confinement and ship them off to Riker's for process crimes. But you know, we should remain very invested in nurturing the current order and power structure. We're obviously on top of it, right? We should be the most vigorous defenders of the political/power hierarchy, because we're so clearly its primary beneficiaries. What went wrong here? Resistance criminals aren't supposed to go down, and last I heard he was supposed to get some slap-on-the-wrist house arrest. He still got a marked-down sentence (which he would not have, had he targeted a Dem - it would have been consecutive full sentences, not concurrent reduced ones), but this is harsher punishment than that to which they are usually willing to expose Resistance criminals.

I drive through Seagoville, just south of Dallas, every couple of weeks. One of the big executive level prisons is there, right on the side of 175. That's where Edwin Edwards got to spend some time. It may be minimum security, but it's still got 20 foot tall cyclone fences all the way round, with cyclone wire on top. It doesn't look like a place you'd want to go sit for 4 years.

The judge and lawyers decide how much time he has to do, he decides how to do the time. You don't want prison guards deciding which prisoners they personally are going to punish by putting them in dangerous environments. The guards are not qualified to issue punishment for the behavior that got them in prison. They should only be involved in punishment for their behavior in prison.

Look, he's not at Alcatraz, but he will spend three years that otherwise be footloose and fancy free having to live the prison lifestyle with bed checks, loss of privacy and of course the fact that he can't spend spring break in Florida, etc.
So, it's not nothing. For those wishing he'd get the max, those are reserved for repeat, career offenders. No one get the max on their first-time offense unless there's something uniquely sadistic about the crime. He's going to jail. That's a good thing. Posted by: Under-sellin Author __________ That's the way I'm looking at it. I'm sure part of the reason this happened to him though was because US Senators were effected. Had he made a breach like this on a "nobody" private citizen with no "juice" it probably wouldn't have been prosecuted. but it's a start when even a Republican Senator gets some form of justice. One Air Force base issues warning of incel violence following incel attack at Dallas, TX Federal Building. Exhibit on how to spot Beckys" and "Stacies".
At least one Air Force base is on the lookout for a sinister new threat: angry men who can't get laid. Personnel at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland were recently treated to a threat brief regarding an "increase in nationwide activity" by self-described "incels," members of an online subculture of "involuntary celibacy" who adopt an ideology of misogyny, mistrust of women, and violence in response to their failed attempts at romantic relationships. . . . Indeed, the screenshot appeared the day after Brian Isaack Clyde, a former Army infantryman who frequently posted memes that referenced the incel movement alongside anti-government conspiracies to his Facebook page, was shot by federal officers after he opened fire outside a Dallas, Texas federal building. The screenshot features a reproduction of an internet meme popular among incels known as "Becky vs. Stacy." A derivative of the 'Virgin Walk' or 'Virgin vs. Chad' meme that contrasts awkward virgin incels against an imaginary hyper-masculine bro known as Chad, the Becky vs. Stacy meme purportedly reflects how incels judge women based solely on their physical features. Incels believe "(they are owed attention from 'Beckys,'" the Joint Base Andrews brief reads. "Most Incels believe only men can be Incels as women could engage in sexual activity if they wanted to." https://bit.ly/2WUEm6P Posted by: Anonosaurus Wrecks, Tyrannosaur Wrangler at June 20, 2019 06:38 PM (+y/Ru) 298

Story goes that the pitch for Miami Vice was simply MTV cops. And the NBC honchos were sold on that premise alone, without anyone actually coming up with scripts or anything else.
It was basically 77 Sunset strip with bitchen visuals. Every generation seems to have a show like it, but they do actually hold up better than I expected. Philip Michael Thomas isn't great but Don Johnson is actually damn good and some of the stories are pretty interesting and gritty. This came up recently. I had never given a thought to Doris Day, I thought she was some washed up bint from an earlier era, but she went on Johnny Carson in 74 and showed...advantages. https://youtu.be/ou7-3wAyQFQ?t=30 Posted by: Bandersnatch at June 20, 2019 07:42 PM (fuK7c) 690
garrett: "I can't believe anyone actually thought John Belushi was funny."
Let's see. There was Akroyd and Murray. And that's about it for the early years. Relatively, they were great. Their true greatness didn't shine until they did stuff outside of SNL. Looking back, SNL has never been great. A few decent seasons but mostly average to crap. Funny is a tough business, but a lot of it was just bad. The entire era's worth of videotape masters should be erased.

Some of those Battle of the Network Stars things were unfair though I mean, guys like Gil Gerard were athletes who became actors. Him against, say, Catherine Bach in the dunk tank and she's gonna take a bath.

He may be going to prison, but he's not going to prison-prison; i.e., not Pound Me In The Ass prison. He'll do easy time in an easy facility.
