48 Clicked a link to get to an online article from "Work and Money," showcasing, in one of those annoying click-through countdowns, from 18 down to 1, their opinion of "America's most successful small cities."

Number 1 is Bend, OR. The list includes places from all around, but there seems to be a theme, if you look at the demographics of each.

Lotsa white people, and few, if any, instances of "immigrant communities." Bend has 76,000 people and is over 91 percent white, with an AA "community" of only 0.5 percent.

That ain't much community.

Yes, Crowdstrike.
- Someone stole emails and gave 'em to Wikileaks.
- DNC then hired Crowdstrike to investigate and declare it was a hack by Russians in their report.
- They then destroyed the server after refusing to turn it over to the FBI. In the midst of all this Xavier Bacerra tuned over a copy of the server in attempt to pass it off as the original, IIRC?
- Wikileaks, after being blamed for working with Russian for the hack, pointed people to one of their classified memo drops that included mention that deep state had the ability to fake evidence of Russian hacking.

Jack Straw no doubt remembers more about this . . .

Close enough. The betrayer left after Jesus fingered him, but he didn't go back to pick up the reward until after Jesus' arrest.

30 pieces of silver IIRC was about the price of a healthy slave.

A father in Australia fought off several dingoes after his toddler son was locked in the jaws and dragged by one of the wild dogs early Friday, emergency medical officials told local news outlets.

The 14-month-old was dragged by the back of his neck and suffered a fractured skull and deep cuts on his head from the attack.

The family was asleep in their campervan on Fraser Island in Queensland when a dingo entered and grabbed the child. Paramedic Ben Du Toit said his parents woke up when they heard their child screaming and the sound moving farther away.

299 The reason why Laminates are used in modern construction is that it is the only way to create a wood supertructure that has a known burn / damage rate.

Natural wood beams have no such consistency.

Like I said, one part of a tree will burn faster than another...and there is no way of changing this or knowing how it will behave in a fire.

Jack Straw no doubt remembers more about this . . .

350 I chanced upon this work on a visit to the National Gallery. I was captivated by it and stunned motionless for a while. In person, it has a powerful effect. My feeling about this painting is that Dali captured a transcendence that most Western art depicting this subject could not define.

351 I would go back to the National Gallery just to see this painting. IMO the daVinci Last Supper - the one we Italian Catholics all had in our dining rooms - is trite and saccharine. But that's likely da Vinci being a product of his time, and also giving the customer what they want.

Didn't know this about Andy! I know about Don Shula and Mark Wahlberg though.

another element of this painting that moved me was the posture of the apostles, indicating they knew they were in the presence of the Man-God and demonstrating appropriate respect. I had the sense of a deep reverence on Dali's part when I viewed this painting. I think his portrayal of the apostles expressed his respect and honor for Our Lord.
