Shhh. Don't say that George Soros funds many, many operations on the political left -- it's antisemitic. Bill Kristol and J.V. Last and other neo-Brockian lefties who are totally not funded by George Soros-affiliated organizations have so decreed it.

Liberal billionaire George Soros bankrolled a massive "hate crime" database that is used by more than 100 media partners--including Google News Labs, New York Times Opinion, and ABC News--to report alleged hate crimes, according to tax documents and interviews.
The database, launched following the election of President Donald Trump, is "unverified" and receives stories of alleged "hate" from the likes of the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), an organization currently in upheaval over charges of institutional racism perpetrated by its recently fired co-founder, Morris Dees, and the Council on Islamic and Foreign Relations (CAIR), a Muslim civil rights group that was previously listed as an unindicted co-conspirator of terrorism.

Lee Smith brilliantly laid this all out more than a year ago -- as "news" media lose money and get lazier and more incompetent, they become more and more reliant on private propaganda outfits -- like Fusion GPS, most famously -- to write their "news" for them.

The media isn't "digging up stories" any longer. They are merely printing the stories written for them by privately-funded, hidden-agenda (but not that hidden) leftist Mercenary Media organizations who create stories according to the wishes of whatever corporation or political patron is paying them to.

The "media" isn't the real media. The "media" you see on tv and in newsstands is just the clearinghouse for narratives created by the real media, the Mercenary Media, whose hand is kept hidden so that the public doesn't know their reality is being scripted or that their "Media Heroes" are really just NPCs reciting someone else's script.

I agree. The fact that Trump pulled in a lot of Democrat votes last time leads me to believe that --with a combination of a good economy and Democrat Party acting like commies--he'll pull in even more next time.

My feeling about vaccinations is that there is statistical evidence that they work, for a certain percentage of people. But, modern medicine in general has claimed a lot of success for it's methods, but ignored the effect of improved sanitation and water supplies. This was occurring slightly before and during the development of vaccines and surely decreased the amount of disease. Personally, I think that it is better to contract the disease and let the body develop it's own antibodies. Sure, some kids will die, but that's just nature, isn't it? The physical and mental weakness of recent generations might not have been so pronounced if we had just let nature take it's course.

Having looked into him as much as possible, I am honestly convinced that Carter Page is *absolutely* innocent of everything he has been accused of, both on the left and the right. He's kind of a goofy guy, he acted naively, but mostly he was in the wrong spot at absolutely the perfect time for Trump's enemies, and they seized on him as a convenient focus for their attacks. He is the guy at the middle of the storm who has absolutely no idea why the Storm chose Him as the object it decided to swirl around.

likewise, I think the worst sin Papadopoulos was guilty of was being young and overconfident in his own value and ability. It made him easy to manipulate. I don't believe either of them were ever traitors to Trump.

I do think Manafort was just a huge mistake on Trump's part. Should never had anything to do with that guy.

I don't know about that. But there's something else at play. The Dem coalition is starting to find itself at odds with itself... gays vs feminists vs trans activists, blacks vs Mexicans, muslim vs jew, etc.

On top of that, there is a quiet war within the party between the geriatric kleptocracy and the neo-Maoist youth candidates. Part of that conflict is rooted in bitter resentments about Hill and Bernie.

Add to that the Hobbesian Jungle Primary they're setting up for with dozens of lunatic candidates, I could see significant numbers of Dems just sitting this out, even if they hate orangemanbad.

The whole situation is definitely going to make some Dem voters really unhappy. Enough to hand it to Trump? We'll have to see, but I think it's a real possibility.

Sure, "moderate" liberals do this all the time. Some utterly whacked out leftist policy proposal is pushed (i.e. reflecting the logical end point of liberal belief about the subject), and the moderate *feels" (the operative word here) that the policy "goes too far." They cannot intellectually articulate a cogent reason for this, only that some invisible line has been crossed in their own thinking. So they make an unprincipled exception to their own liberalism and oppose it.

But their opposition is incoherent. The only way to counter leftist idiocy is by taking a NON-LIBERAL stance against it. But most moderate liberals never do that. In this manner modern liberalism is still kept alive in the minds of millions--because they refuse to think.
