San Jose Police Chief: The Suspected Murderer of an American Woman Was Shielded From Deportation by Sanctuary Policies Six Times

Boy, the left's (including Bill Kristol's) plan of replacing Noncompliant Americans with more compliant foreign replacements will happen at an even faster tempo if the replacements also murder us.

Monday, San Jose police arrested 24-year-old Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza for the murder of 59-year-old Bambi Larson. Police believe Carranza stalked the victim before breaking into her home and stabbing her to death. Her body was discovered by her son and a co-worker after she didnít show up for work....

This is far from the first time Carranza has been arrested.... [Remorseless record of criminality omitted.]

If you've lost count, thatís 10 arrests after he was deported. Six of those times, ICE asked the police to hold Carranza so they could pick up this homeless drug addict rather than have him be released back onto the streets. But according to Chief Garcia, police ignored those detainer requests because of sanctuary policies. "Let me be clear, we are here to protect and embrace our otherwise law-abiding undocumented residents. We are not here, nor should we be here, to shield admitted gangsters or violent criminals regardless of immigration status," Garcia
said.

Frankly, that sounds like he's making excuses, trying to preserve the sanctuary policy while also claiming that if the police psychically predict they're holding a future murderer, they should ignore the sanctuary policy.

Paul Kelly, the head of the San Jose Police Officers Association, told KPIX, "This should have never happened, not in a million years. We have to change the laws that protect monsters like this suspect."

That sounds firmer, without claiming we can keep the policy while precognitively weeding out future murders.

Flashback: Bill Kristol favors a liberal (open borders) immigration policy with the express goal of replacing "lazy" American citizens.

Weekly Standard editor-at-large Bill Kristol said Tuesday afternoon that the white working class should be replaced by immigrants as they have become "decadent, lazy" and "spoiled."

"Look, to be totally honest, if things are so bad as you say with the white working class, donít you want to get new Americans in?" Kristol told author Charles Murray during an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute titled "It Came Apart: What's Next for a Fractured Culture."

It takes some cheek for an obese, sedentary man who's lived off of money grifted from multiple billionaire Sugar Daddies nearly his entire adult life to call other people "lazy," "decadent," and "spoiled."

Oh right -- he's a "mindworker" or something, right?

What's the last "mindwork" this grifter completed that was not a 288 character tweet? Anyone remember any contributions by Bill Kristol in the world of letters these past ten or fifteen years?

And speaking of fat men living off the charity of rich men...

There to meet with Senorita Steve Hayes, no doubt.

Friends were goofing on this puff-piece the liberal CJR did on him. And of course it's a puff-piece; liberals know their own.

Goldberg and Hayes plan to start their project, still unnamed, this summer, with newsletters and podcasts--"NPR is the 800-pound gorilla in recorded news podcasts," he says. "We want to get into that space." Then, in September, they'll launch online with daily reported news and long magazine stories, produced by a staff of 15 to 20. A print publication remains a possibility for later. Goldberg says they have an "exciting number of investors who are interested."

You know what's an exciting number? A number so exiting the Mayans are still stoked they invented it?

Zero.

One friend imitated Goldberg's stoned dreamjournaling about his future plans: "We're going to do newsletters and also podcasts and also news and also long stories and also maybe print and also be online."

And then we'll maybe start a BAND!!! Like a punk band but not really a punk band but maybe more of a power-pop band but with grit, you know?! Like the Rasberries mixed with The Knack but also mixed with the Velvet Underground and David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy!

And then we'll get skateboards and put an AWESOME skate team together and get a big sponsorship and THRASH ACROSS EUROPE!!!

Wow, this Business Plan certainly is well thought-out.

Here's Goldberg's Elevator Pitch for the next media venture Steve Hayes will bankrupt.

I assume this elevator goes from the ground level to the observation deck of the Empire State Building when it's overcapacity and suffering from mechanical stress, because this is not what I'd call the classic one-liner elevator pitch.

So whatís the pitch? "We're interested in topics that are covered a lot by the mainstream media, but from a fairly conventional perspective, or that aren't covered much at all because they donít fit the conventional narrative. We're also very interested in the conservatives and Republicans who are trying to reconcile long-established conservative principles with the tectonic shifts beneath them. So we might cover the work done by crisis pregnancy centers to reduce the abortion rate in this country. We might do a deep dive into how our politics have become performative, particularly at the presidential level. The presidential historian Richard Neustadt argued that the chief power of the president was persuasion. But in recent decades, as the presidency has become an avatar in the culture wars, presidents (and presidential aspirants) care more about playing a role for their fans--and foes--than actually winning over new voters."

I'd like to see the Pitch Meeting Guy do a Pitch Meeting for Jonah's pitch.

Oooh, run-on sentences and incoherent stoner ramblings mixed in with barely-remembered name-drops from an Intro to Political Philosophy class at Goucher College are TIGHT.

So Jonah Goldberg plainly has absolutely no experience in nor intuitions about running a business. Steve Hayes is the Business Genius who took a business that couldn't fail -- a business whose actual job it was to lose money, forever -- and somehow bankrupted a business designed to be perpetually bankrupt.

This is going to be quite a crazy ride, guys. It's like a boring version of The Producers.

The ONE job our government has is to protect its citizens from this kind of crime.

If we had a functioning immigration system and politicians devoted to upholding the laws that protect citizens, this shit would not be happening.

Someone should file a wrongful death lawsuit against the traitorous officials who not only let these monsters stay, but actively encourage it and protect these noncitizens over and above US citizens.

81 I want Trump's campaign promise on this to be met. I want them defunded. This includes where *I* live, which would go to shit. It will be worth it.

"Sanctuary" policies are extremely corrosive. Some laws matter, some don't. Laws the Left likes matter, the one's they don't, don't.

Beyond the bifurcated standard of law, it results in illegal aliens - whose FIRST ACT ON OUR SOIL was a crime - being treated better than citizens by our system. If I were to *yell* at my girlfriend too much, she can call the cops and I get a felony DV. If an illegal alien *beats* his girlfriend, he'll get a misdemeanor - if anything - to avoid any chance of his deportation.

Or driving licenses (which shouldn't exist at all). If I drive without a license, I'm going to court (possibly jail), will have to have my car towed home, and it will wreck my life for years. If an illegal alien does it, he is just allowed to drive away.

"Sanctuary" policies make me angrier than most other vicious, stupid, wasteful, hateful, freedom-destroying things my government does. "Consequences be damned, we like the illegals and will treat them better than citizens because they serve our shitty purposes."

Fuck them all.

142 The Page and Hillary scandal is not what keeps Obama awake late at night that just involves some prison time at the worst...
The legal problem that really worries Obama and his crowd is operation
Fast and Furious. This operation was funded out of the "Stimulus"
trillion (its right there in the budgeted items in plain text) - so it
was planned and conducted out of the White House. The White House point
contact on the project refused to answer any questions from the DOJ
Inspector General when he investigated the operation.

The President had to change BATFE policy for the operation to occur (he
was the only one who can change the policy of a federal agency - remember
he changed NASA policy from "manned space flight" to "outreach to
Muslims"). Obama also said he was working on gun control quietly in the
background. The idea was to claim that gun shops along the U.S. border
were fueling the Mexican violence from the cartels. There were even
shows done in cooperation with BATFE by the Justice network that claimed
just that.

So what is the legal problem? This was a conspiracy to oppress 2nd
amendment constitutional rights - which is a violation of 18 U.S. Code
241. Since Brian Terry and hundreds of Mexican nationals died as a
direct result of that conspiracy, it means that the death penalty
provisions of section 241 apply to everyone involved in the conspiracy -
from Obama on down. Now you understand why Fast and Furious scares the crap out of
them - they committed multiple capital crimes.

Not quite true - police officers can only be sued when they've done something illegal, or completely unreasonable. Otherwise they have immunity.

The real pisser that few people seem to know about is called Sovereign Immunity.

It means that a private citizen is not allowed to sue the State or the Federal Govm't, unless that Government gives them permission to do so.

and then you'll say "but I've heard of so many lawsuits!" and then I'll tell you that almost every big anti-Government lawsuit you've ever heard about was actually orchestrated by a group INSIDE the government, using the process to get a result from a judge that they could never get accomplished by themselves.

So what is the legal problem? This was a conspiracy to oppress 2nd
amendment constitutional rights - which is a violation of 18 U.S. Code

provisions of section 241 apply to everyone involved in the conspiracy -

What's the last "mindwork" this grifter completed that was not a 288 character tweet? Anyone remember any contributions by Bill Kristol in the world of letters these past ten or fifteen years?

According to wiki, his "books" have been a re-tread collection of his Weakly Standard articles, a collection of essays on Bush v Gore coedited with EJ Dionne, and introduction to a collection of essays on homosexuality and politics, and a book on the Iraq War co-written with Lawrence Kaplan (which means that Kaplan did all the work).

It's amazing that a public intellectual like Kristol has never actually written a whole book by himself, he's literally incapable of sustaining a train of thought for that long without someone holding his hand and wiping his nose.

You are correct; of course, failing to detain an illegal alien at the request of a federal law enforcement agency would seem to fall under the categories of illegal and completely unreasonable. In a just world, the police chief and mayor would be on the hook for a civil suit -- but it's California-town, so they're probably don't fear being defendants in a civil suit.

I imagine with all of the new DOT rules for truckers, a lot of shipping companies are going to hire illegal aliens. What's not to like? They don't have to obey traffic laws, since they can't be arrested, and they can disregard the regulations. So what if a bunch of American drivers get killed, that is just bonus.

Posted by: Vashta Nerada at March 13, 2019 05:28 PM

Don't get me started. Shortly after some implementation of nafta some four foot tall Canadian trucker side-swiped my daughters car at 50 miles and hour, totaling it. She called me from her cell, as it was only 10 minutes away. Four patrol cars came to the scene after I arrived. Mainly to restrain me from drop kicking that tiny little piece of shit back to Canada with one bounce.

I've never been more pissed off in my life. Apparently there was some agreement to honor canadian truck driving licenses here. Despite the fact that short little piece of shit would never would have secured an American truck driving license. Never looked in his side mirror before changing lanes.

I gave the cops more shit then I should have that day. But they dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't' because I told them if they didn't my daughter was going to lose every dollar she paid to buy that car. That little fvcker could have killed her. Should never have been on our highways. The little spanish turds will be just as bad.

A root. I was on a trip there years ago and took a boat ride along the Kauai Coast with a guy who called himself Captain Zodiac after his fleet of Zodiacs.

He was from CA and moved to Hawaii surf, shocking He had small "farm" where the poi grew wild and the Hawaiian government paid him for it because it is an indigenous food. He did absolutely nothing, the stuff grew wild on its own.

So he surfed, zodiaced and got paid for doing nothing.

They won't be surprised if the show fails!

Jonah the Plagiarist will liberally borrow without attribution from Mel Brooks, because where's the fun in attribution??, and essentially his New Play will be a revival of The Producers. Different title though. Which makes it totally a new and original play.

The only question is how many of these fake "conservative" media outlets is the Left willing to fund.

More likely young than senile.

We got sonic booms in the sixties from military jets. The FrogLimeys came up with the Concorde to get from Europe to Los Angeles or Singapore in about seventy eight minutes.

Sonic booms broke windows and bird eggs and pissed everyone off, so the Concorde was limited to going supersonic only over the ocean which meant London/Paris to New York only and they went out of business.

Well, after exploding some people to death, but they were going out of business anyway.

No - remember in the Obama era, the Obama DOJ got a Supreme Court ruling saying that States aren't allowed to enforce Federal Law, even when they want to?

Think realistically, the Left still owns the Court system, we don't, and we never will. the Best we can do is to get enough conservatives in to neutralize it, but it will NEVER be on "our side".

So make plans, knowing that the Courts and the Bureaucracy, on both the State and Federal Levels, are your enemies. And always will be. You cannot use either of them to fight this.

Short of having a team of illegals leaf blowing the runway after each arrival and departure, not much can be done.

How they sold sanctuary city policies:
"People deserve to be protected from monsters. We don't want illegals to be preyed upon and for those illegals to be afraid they'll be deported if they report crimes. We therefore resolve to not check the immigration status of victims of and witnesses to crimes."

How they actually uphold sanctuary city policies:
"Not only will we not check the immigration status of anyone at any time, we'll also take steps to shield violent felons who are illegals from Federal Agencies."

Looks like Sparky up there is still trying to sell the former, even though everyone knows the latter is how it works.

481 As for Goldberg's self-proclaimed "dive into performative politics," it is tragic and disgusting to watch this man who in the realm of ideas had been a great foe and exposer of "liberal" fascism become, with his first steps as an actor on the political stage, a leading supporter and advancer of faux-liberal fascism.

At the very moment when the Obama-Clinton machine succeeded in turning our intelligence agencies and Justice Department into the KGB, fixed on determining the outcome of our national elections, and almost succeeded in using this KGB to turn the U.S.A. into the U.S.S.R. by carrying off that election-stealing plot, Goldberg went all in against the target of these totalitarian usurpers. Why? Because Trump refuses to talk the politically correct speech that Goldberg has spent his life perfecting.

P.C. operates by intentionally misunderstanding as offensive anything that can possibly be misunderstood as offensive. Goldberg has dedicated himself to speaking carefully, to not leaving opportunities for intentional misunderstanding, and in this way has been able to go further across the P.C. battlefield, as he sees it, than others who do not speak so carefully. Then in comes Trump, not giving a damn about those who intentionally misunderstand, giving the intentional misunderstanders fodder to attack again and again as he completely ignores their faux-outrage, giving the lie to Goldberg's pretended bravery.

Instead of submitting to P.C. norms like Goldberg does Trump cuts the Gordian knot: "why would anyone care what people who intentionally misunderstand think?" Trump runs them straight over, driving them mad, causing them to expose their Brown-Shirt/ Red-Brigades totalitarianism and political violence.

"Nooooooo" cries the coward Goldberg: "You are ruining everything I have worked for. I was showing the way to navigate P.C. norms and still say important things and you are upending the whole leftist playing field that I have shown you how to win on."

And so he sides with the faux-liberal fascism that he made his name denouncing. His first step onto the actual stage of performative politics is in the service of what he fully knows to be the greatest evil, because he cannot abide the personal insult of having his coward's way rejected. Trump is a thousand times the man that Goldberg is, with a thousand times the morality. He does not roll for the intentional misunderstanders the way Goldberg always has, and to protect his ego Goldberg becomes the intentional misunderstander himself, refusing to witness Trump's bravery and moral honesty or his own cowardice in not rejecting the P.C. mode.
