There's an interesting video below the fold that speaks to the defensible suggestion that AOC (Alexandria Donkey-Chompers to her friends) is a figurehead who was chosen (almost literally) from central casting to be the face of some very bad people.
Whether the gentleman in the video is correct seems to be of less importance than the reality that dear old Donkey-Chompers is spewing socialist pablum rechewed for our current crop of poorly educated idiots. Don't be fooled by your visceral dislike for her. She is relatively attractive, speaks the language of the college-graduate barrista, and affects the image of a young and earnest "community activist" who is being attacked by the entrenched interests that want nothing of her unicorns and rainbows world. It doesn't matter whose words they are...she may be (and probably is) an empty-headed retard without an original thought in her entire body, but so what? Marshall McLuhan said, "The medium is the message," and they have a good one in Donkey-Chompers! After you watch the video (there will be a test on Tuesday), here's an assignment: There are some words that are clear tip-offs to the logic-free manipulation that the progressives are so good at...."mobilization" is my favorite, "justice" is a classic, but there are dozens that make my ears tingle and my fists clench.... C.S. Lewis wrote an interesting essay on that subject, which I read many years ago and only vaguely remember. So I'm probably misrepresenting. But the distinction he pointed out (I love his distinctions) was that the Old Testament uses the word justice in two distinct ways.

I think the psychology is different. Why would you vote for a woman because you want to pork her? Porking the leader makes no sense for a man. They at least subconsciously want to protect women, and protecting the leader who is protecting you makes zero sense.
The corresponding sentiment for women does make sense in light of feminine psychology (insofar as I understand it!). They at least subconsciously look for a protector and provider, ideally an alpha male, the "leader of the pack." Conflating political support with sexual desire makes PERFECT sense for them.

My reaction is meh, on top of skepticism about the premise.
She's from a one-party district. The incumbent was a typical, though lazier than usual, seat-warming incumbent-for-life. The district has changed to become "more vibrant" in the current lingo. Apparently the incumbent didn't even bother to do the normal machine-oiling stuff these creatures usually do. She received 16K votes - in a congressional district.
The primary is the election (as it is in most races in the US). She could have become Rep. Steven King between primary and general, and won by the same margin. We're talking robotic, tribal, ID-driven, inertia-soaked typical congressional voting here.
"our current crop of poorly educated idiots" - THAT is where our problem lies, not in shadowy evil figures. I just wonder about the need to always find sinister unseen forces behind mundane, if disastrous, trends in our society.
It's like being in a discussion with Arabs in the Middle East (most). Nothing but exotic 1,456-dimensional conspiracy explanations for almost everything. Reality is a lot simpler, and in this case, a lot worse, than a B-movie plot about unseen forces.

The buzzphrase "progressive values" is one that grates on me like you have no idea.
"Progressive values" are diametrically opposed to everything that we Americans stand for. This is one of those things that's almost too simple to explain: if they're uttering that phrase, they aren't promoting American values. Her Heinous described herself as "a proud Progressive" as opposed to "a proud American." They're not even trying to hide their mysterious hatred of their country that has given them (and the rest of the world) so many good things.
If you want an example, the Kavanaugh hearings was an excellent one. We were to automatically believe all accusers just because they are accusers. The idea of "innocent until proven guilty" did not apply, and the idea that if a rape did occur, to report it to the police immediately got totally ignored.
Progressives are filthy communists who happen to call themselves Americans. They are nothing of the sort, for they do not believe in American values such as the ones pointed out above, nor do they believe in personal and individual responsibility. They don't believe in self-control which is why they're all pretty much sex-crazed animals.

I would have thought so, but now that the people behind this are her Congressional staff, and her name is at the top of the Brand New Congress PAC, it appears they're really invested in AOC in particular as their front person. Pair that with the uncritical, Obama-like love she gets from the MSM, I'm not sure what she could do that they couldn't save her from. The FEC is clearly partisan, choosing to not look into obvious illegalities (Hillary laundering $84 MILLION through the DNC), so I am not confident the illegal campaign stuff will stick.
