Confirmed: When Trump Fired Comey, Deep State Began Plotting to Remove Him From Office

Trump had the right to remove Comey -- but Andrew McCabe, Rod Rosenstein, etc., did not have the right to remove Trump.

And yet -- the media and Ruling Class are pretending it was illegal to fire Comey and yet legally required of the Deep State to violate its oaths to remove a president they didn't vote for.

McCabe's new book repeats his claim (denied by Rosenstein) that Rosenstein offered to wear a wire in his meetings with Trump. All to gather evidence for a 25th Amendment removal.

Because firing James Comey was apparently proof of mental incompetency.

Meetings were held at the Department of Justice on whether President Donald Trump should be removed from office with the 25th Amendment after the firing of former FBI Director James Comey, former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe writes in a new book.

"There were meetings at the Justice Department at which it was discussed whether the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet could be brought together to remove the president of the United States under the 25th Amendment," CBS News' Scott Pelley said Thursday in a preview of his forthcoming interview with McCabe.

Pelley noted that these meetings were part of an extraordinary 8-day period after Comey's firing in which Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein also suggested to senior FBI officials that he should wear a secret recording device in his meetings with Trump.

...

The 25th Amendment allows for the removal of the president of the United States if a majority of his Senate-confirmed cabinet believe he is no longer capable of discharging his duties while in office. Rosenstein reportedly speculated that he could convince at least two cabinet officials to sign on to a plan to oust Trump from office.

These people should be in jailed, if not being stretched at the lower end of a rope.

8 Hold on, did someone tell you that Justice Ginsburg is not in the office today, again?

Not true. In fact, she was just here.

Yep, Justice Ginsburg just left this stack of her rulings on pending Court business right here on my desk.

What, you didn't pass her on your way in?

My assistant probably saw her. Oh wait, no, I remember it was while my assistant was getting coffee.

I have to say, she was in and out like a flash. Said she had some errands to run and had to be on her way.

That's the thing about Justice Ginsburg, she's so quick! You know she does a lot of walking and running and -- and wind sprints. Wind sprints will make you quick! You should try them yourself, great way to get in shape.

Um no, she was not with her driver. She was all by herself. I think she said she took the Metro. She's very proud of how D.C. runs the Metro, so efficient and cheap and safe!

Who knows, if you run out after her right now you might just be able to catch her!

Check with some of the reporters hanging around the building. If you tell them that I just saw her, they'll probably tell you that they just saw her, too.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. We have her rulings all nice and tidy right here on my desk, and that's the important thing, right?

Now I realize all of that was based not on logic or reality, but on movies and TV where the FBI is portrayed as law abiding supercops. The guys you turn to when the local cops have gone bad.

71 The reason that McCabe feels comfortable is that nothing has happened to any of the conspirators other than some losing their jobs. They still have their wealth, no midnight SWAT raids for them, they are praised constantly from Capitol Hill, they still have buddies that cover for them at key agencies, and they are honored and feted by the left--for example McCabe is getting some of that sweet Apple Job's money via the Atlantic.

The conspirators feel confident because nothing has happened to them that nothing will happen to them. And, that they will be rewarded for their loyalty to the cause by the Left with jobs, money, honors, book deals. So far, they are correct.

I'd be down with a constitutional amendments that limited proposed laws to one side of a standard piece of paper (let's be generous, and make it legal size), in 12 point type.

Also an amendment that made any law that performed a function unrelated to its title prima facie unconstitutional.

For instance, a bill to fund a new post office couldn't have a rider attached that gave forty billion dollars to Iran.

Even we pedestrians have known it was all lies from the get go ... from the rigged primary for Hillary, to the Strzok insurance policy, to the Skolkovo/Uranium treasonous sale of our military might. And yet there sits Mueller ... dragging Trump supporters out of their house with CNN participating in the coup/PsyOp.

Whitaker say it is troubling ... but does nothing. We're gonna need a bigger boat to Guantanamo. We are still on a war footing btw, since 9/11, and those military tribunals might reach out and touch more people than most believe is possible. It's occurred to some of us a long time ago.

Why do you thing McCabe was fired? Why are McCabe, who was fired for lying and leaking, and Rosenstein who Trump did NOT fire and continues to praise publicly, continuing to fight right up until this very moment?

Why did Rosenstein appoint Mueller and specifically instruct that McCabe NOT be part of the investigation?

This is a particularly good and factual piece that lays out the timeline and what happened in broad strokes.

134 That is simply insane. It makes no sense. Removing a president under the 25th amendment is harder than through impeachment. It requires the same people who are needed for impeachment, plus more.

Impeaching and removing a president requires: a simple majority of the house, plus two thirds of the senate.

Removing a president against his will through the 25th amendment requires: two thirds of the house, plus two thirds of the senate, plus the vice president, plus a majority of the cabinet. If you have all of those on board you don't need the 25th, you can simply impeach and remove him.

The purpose of the 25th is (1) to remove a president who doesn't object but can't resign because he's in a coma or a straitjacket; or (2) to reluctantly remove a beloved president without having to embarrass him and harm his place in history. Neither of these apply to Trump. He would certainly object to his removal, and those seeking it don't love him.

I'm sure you've noticed that NO ONE talks about Carter Page anymore, even though he was the focus of so much of the early investigation. After reading a lot of what he said, I'm convinced that Page is one of the few who, even though he's kind of goofy in person, has always told the EXACT truth about everything he did and said every step of the way, to everyone who would listen. Every check on his stories has come back with, yep, he was telling the truth.

And so his investigators have got the problem that nothing he ever did was actually in violation of any existing law, and he never lied to anyone about any of it. And so, after years of scrutinizing everything he ever said or wrote, we've finally come to the position that "well we just won't mention his name anymore."

271 Okay, since McCabe claims there were others present at the meeting, take each of them separately to a professional interrogator and grill them for inconsistencies in their stories. If they all agree, and all say that Rosenstein said what McCabe alleges, we should know if he (Rosenstein) is telling the truth. If they don't agree, it's probably Rosenstein, who is being truthful.

We're halfway through Trump's term. I don't understand why this investigation requires 2 years and counting.

When Barky says he had a scandal-free administration, he is right. It takes widespread information and outrage to create a scandal. His administration had plenty of crimes, but not scandals.

Bush 43, OTOH, had scandals without crimes. (Plame and Gonzalez --- big outrage in the press but no actual crimes.)

Over half of white evangelical Christians, 55 percent, feel God put Trump in office. That drops to 36 percent among Protestants and 20 percent among Catholics.

Trump voters are nearly six times as likely as Clinton voters to believe God wanted Trump to win the election (46 vs. 8 percent). The results are nearly identical among Republicans (45 percent) and Democrats (9 percent).

445 It's in Boston. There isn't anything other than he said she said from 14 years leter, and the accused is a Democrat.

See if you can guess what they decide. "

Actually it's got better chances of being filed than you may think. First off, and perhaps most importantly, the Boston DA is a woman who's especially hard on rape cases.

Second, forget the smokescreens about "no corroboration" - Fairfax already admitted that yes, they were together that night, and yes, they had some form of sexual relations. So, 90% of her story has already been confirmed by the Accused (stupidly). No need at all now to establish whether or not "it" happened, it did, he confessed - the only question is whether it was consensual, or whether it was forced.

And that is a question only a jury can decide, and it will come down to who is more credible in the courtroom. (btw, almost EVERY rape case between two people who knew each other comes down to that exact same question, it's nothing new)

447 PArt of me wants to think the 25th Amendment discussion is a diversion from the real issues. What did Rosenstein actually believe as an AAG that would materially backup a 25th Amendment claim? Would there really ever be a plausible basis he could get from recording Trump? I doubt it. So did they want McCabe to hear this conversation as their own insurance policy? Maybe.

The real damnable offense here is the so-called Russian Dossier, it's funding and promotion by Obama's Executive Branch and the Intelligence Agencies, the FISA fraud and general politicizing of the DoJ. The Mueller probe is just an attempt to cover it all up.

We're not a 3rd world craphole because of traditional culture at large. That's why our 3rd world craphole government wants to import more 3rd worlders. They think we'll magically be just as prosperous and just as stable, but they'll have more power. And they would have more power, until the 3rd world coups start happening.

I didn't either.

The premise here has a crapton of theological problems too. If you believe God is present and works in the world or even understand the theological concept of "creation and conservation" you believe that people move toward the objective good through the use of reason, ie being created in God's image. So if you believe, like I do that Hillary was an irrational choice, then the subsequent parallels include that man made the rational choice toward the objective good, the ultimate of which is God.

I'd love to get some of these guffawing nitwits in a room.

475 Finally, one of the principle actors at the center of the Russia / Special Counsel investigations, former, because he was canned for perjury, FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe now confirms that he and his cohorts were effectively colluding to remove President Trump from office.

Does this not reek of Mr. McCabe and other top level FBI and DOJ bureaucrats placing their will before the 60 million Americans that elected President Trump, that they were effectively engaging in the early stages of implementing a coup?

Why?

Apparently because President Trump sent packing former FBI director James Comey and that President Trump was and still is a brash loudmouth.

And too the fake charges brought by them that President Trump had actively conspired with the Russian government to "steal the election," a charge that has been falling apart for years.

One need note the great irony, that the origin of all this fakery came from candidate Clinton using lies knowingly fed to her and then on to the FBI and DOJ by actual Russians.

Noble not these people are. Mr. McCabe and his fellow colluders are nothing but political hacks that now chase book deals and interviews where they are allowed unchecked to sound wise and great, rewarded with fame instead of shame.

Special Counsel was appointed to get McCabe off the case, and instead he ends up fired and facing indictment.
