I can't watch twitter videos, so I don't know exactly what is depicted, but the screenshot SEEMS to reveal that it's a "fleshjack"-type toy.

Infant/childhood mortality might skew the results a bit, but the mean lifespan of adults was mid-40s or so until around 1900. I once walked through a cemetery in the gold country of California, and was shocked that few people in it had lived to see 50.
Bear in mind that many women died in childbirth, and that many men died in workplace related accidents. Merely stepping on a rusty nail crossing a farmyard could easily lead to a fatal case of tetanus.
Also on reading Dickens's novels, modern readers are struck by how many of the children depicted are orphans. But that was the historical reality, when people married late and died early.
But the wealthy landowners - such as the Founding Fathers - were not doing heavy manual labor, nor doing anything exceptionally dangerous, apart from rebelling from the Crown.

It is not a bad concept, and there are things in it I relate to. Pixar's skill is making unusual scenarios universally relatable. This one has its moments. but they needed to push it further. In our context, it's just a juvenile, clumsy attempt at an SJW morality play.
I run an office of five men. Last year we had a female intern for three quarters. Tried to hire her too, but she returned home to Oklahoma. Point is, I was very aware that the dynamic was different when a woman arrived, and we all tried to adjust to accommodate. It's not as natural or easy as having an all male environment, but it's important and better in most ways.
I think most of us are aware of the dynamics and the ongoing need to keep working on the workplace environment that we could hear a storified version of one person's experience. (this short is the directors personal story).
But when they make the rest of the cast a bunch of white frat boys, my mental middle fingers go up.

It was as believable as the rest of the plot.
I liked the part where he never even hit a ball once in practice. Not once. And then he smacks 10 in a row out and over the bleachers and literally knocks the cover off the ball in a game ... and he still ends up sitting on the bench because that star-guy was starting in centerfield (as if they wouldn't have thrown him in some other position).

OK so #1 is not a surprise really, but the openness of it is (or the stupidity of the Ex worst President's social media team is, at least).
#2 really gets my goat because the charge has, clearly, and unlike the Kavanaugh case, been corroborated. Fairfax has admitted to knowing the woman, being alone with her in a sexual situation and having what he terms was "consenual sex" with her. This is, in fact corroboration and proves opportunity. Now, granted , it's circumstantial evidence - but it is SOME corroboration. Unlike Kavanaugh where there were no witnesses to prove that Kavanaugh ever met or knew his "accuser" or that he was ever at the "party" in question or that the party she remembered even happened at all.
In fact, the only alleged witnesses (you know, the ones she said were there and saw the whole thing) disavowed any of it. Kavanugh categorically denied it or even knowing the woman. So not only was the Kavanaugh accusation uncorroborated it was actively proven to be likely a false report, ginned up by political activists (so strange that the accuser's "beach friends" turned out to be deep state/Clinton operatives isn't it?). Now, with Fairfax the woman comes forward and says he strong armed me and held me down so he could sodomize my mouth and the Lt. Guv says "Oh that woman, yeah, I know her but our sex was consensual"(!).
Ahem, these are two different things. The Kavanaugh accusation should have been dropped and the woman quietly told to either seek professional help (physician heal thyself) or to simply go away before the newspaper starts a false accusation investigation. Frankly, it should never have been put into the public sphere at all (Shame on you Sen. Feinstein, shame).
With Fairfax - the situation actually calls for further investigation by the newspaper - interviewing friends of the two, looking at campaign records from the time, etc. You know, dispatching even one of the 20 or so crack teams of "journalists" they sent to interview Kavanaugh's elementary school friends or to investigate what "boof" means might be a start, since Fairfax may step into the governorship of one of the most important states in the Union. But no - the MSM just dropped it and, falsely, labelled ii "uncorroborated" in the hopes that everybody will adopt that term and move on.
It is very clear to everyone, despite the ridiculous $10M super bowl propaganda advert using dead journalists, most of whom were killed by the MSM's muzzie, jew-hating friends, that the only "corroboration" the MSM needs to have for unleashing a locust-host of reporters on you, your family, friends and nursery schoolmates, is to "corroborate" that there is an (R) after your name.

When you have 16 kids but lose 5, it effects not only your perceptions, but also the perceptions of your children. Meaning not only do you cherish the ones who survive even more and ache for the deaths of the others, but their siblings are given a very grim and harsh lesson in the realities of life at a very early age.
Combine this with the sexual devolution and you get the dems preaching after birth abortions and casually talking about making babies comfortable while they decide the best way to kill them off.

I said I'd rather it be in his second term. That means he won. Besides I'm not wishing anyone dead because of political expediency. Trump would get his nominee confirmed because the GOP holds the Senate but I'd prefer not to go through the added stupidity that he shouldn't be able to nominee someone.
