Twitter Now Suspending Accounts for Saying "#LearnToCode"?!? This is now "Hate Speech"??!!

Hate speech is whatever leftwing NPCs say it is. (Whoops, I see Oregon Muse covered this.)

But Twitter is totally a politically neutral content platform and not a publisher. It should have immunity to lawsuits for defamation or IP infringement as if it were a neutral content platform, even though it is clearly a publisher, because most of our alleged "conservative" thought leaders are Twitter Addicts who don't want their favorite drug adulterated and also sorta-kinda might be taking money from Big Tech.

The below must also be hate speech, yeah?

By the way: Look at all that sweet, sweet Diversity in the first picture.

NBC "News" is running an "analysis" article which is straight-up lobbying effort to get critics of BuzzFeed banned from social media.

5 Justice Ginsburg is not in the office today, again.

Some time ago her lifeless body was mummified in strict adherence to the protocols contained in the Book of the Dead and her organs placed in canopic jars.

She was deposited in a sarcophagus in a vault underneath the Great Pyramid by Imhotep, Priest of Osiris to prepare her for her journey into the afterlife.

There her "ba" or spirit-essence will be joined with Ra as he travels the sky in his sun-barque, pending the god Anubis leading her into the presence of Osiris.

She expects Osiris to find her pure of heart upon which he will re-animate her body and nominate her for the Chief Justice position on the Court.

Judge Ginsburg said she is bringing her case files with her into the afterlife and during down time will be ruling on cases. She said she will communicate her decisions to me once her "ba" is reunited with her mortal body.

15 The Donkey

Once upon a midnight gloaming, my mouth agape and whitely foaming,

my frantic mind e'er roaming, roaming o'er outrages of liberal lore,

I gave my dork a playful slapping, setting my balls slowly flapping, but suddenly there came a tapping,

As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -

Only this, and nothing more.'

Ah, distinctly I remember, as the calender thinned e'er closer to November,

tugging at my flacid member, trying to forget the anguish Bush v. Gore,

But still I awaited new elections; - and vigorously I stroked my erections,

To fancies suiting my predilections -

dreams of Bush's eviction, thoughs of Cheney's Halliburton conviction,

the proof of quagmire prediction, and avenging the crucifixion of sainted Martyr Albert Alphonse Gore -

But all this was madness; dreams only and only dreams

and surely nothing more.

And so in thought, my schlong palm-wrought, the pulsing urgency of my cock demanded more

But my jacking had to be stopped; just as I was recalling a a feel I once copped

off Eleanor Mondale, in nineteen eighty-four;

And so having paused my bishop-beating, I stood there anxiously repeating

`'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door -

Just a guy from NARAL entreating entrance at my chamber door;-

Let me with my visions of the Daughters Gore.'

And so the pulsings of my cock grew stronger; and my weiner grew still longer,

but even now more urgently came the tapping at my door,

`Please!' I cried in frustration, `You're ruining my masturbation,

How can I continue stroking while you;re so insistently poking,

And so insistently poking, poking at my chamber door,

Thou hath spoilt my chicken-choking!' - here I opened wide the door; -

Darkness there, and nothing more.

Of that darkness deeply drinking, my dinky winky, e'er shrinking,

Thinking, thinking thoughts I'd scarcely dared to dream before--

But the silence was oppressive, and the Patriot Act so repressive,

And the only signal there expressive was the whispered word, `'04!'

This I whispered back, and an echo chanted back the word, `'04!'

Stiff I was, stiff like Albert Gore.

Back into the chamber turning, my choad within me burning,

Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.

`Surely,' said I, `surely something at my window chants;

Let me tuck my wiener into my pants, and with dork pant-sheathed let me this mystery explore -

Let give my prick a rest and this mystery explore; -

Let me venture, venture out beyond the safety of my door.

I stepped fearfully into the night, clutching throat and warding fright,

and then I smelled something foul, as foul as anything I'd smelled before.

For in the gloaming was something rank, filling my nose with a bestial stank,

and there a shadowy figure of imposing girth, sniggering with malicious mirth,

Surely it could not be--

husky huckster Michael Moore??!

Open here I flung the shutter, raging like a Earth-First nutter,

In there stepped a strange donkey, draped in a campaign poster for Al Gore.

Not the least obeisance made he; not an instant stopped or stayed he;

But, without a word in passing, his butthole venting and gassing, he crapped a load of crap upon my chamber door -

Crapped upon my Restoration Hardware chamber door -

Crapped, and shat, and nothing more.

Then this wicked ass began beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,

By the lunatic grin and crazy countenance it wore,

`Though thy droppings be upon my door, thou,' I said, `art sure not crass.

wild-eyed and lunatic ass wand'ring in from some Berkeley or Massachusetts shore -

Tell me what hath driven you from darkling domains to take a dump upon my modest door!'

Quoth the donkey, `Wait till 04.'

Much I marvelled this strange ass to hear discourse so plainly,

Though its answer little meaning - little relevancy bore;

For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being

Ever yet was blessed with seeing talking jackass poop upon his chamber door -

crapping and shitting on the Mother Jones magazines lying near my chamber door,

shitting on the collected works of Cornell West on a shelf along my floor,

With such message as `Wait till '04.'

But the donkey, sitting lonely on the stoop, having now pooped out a stinky poop,

Spake just this command, as if his soul in this demand he did outpour.

Nothing further then he uttered - nor his tail he even fluttered -

Till I scarcely more than muttered `Other friends have shat my door before -

On the morrow the ass will leave me, as my hopes have flown with Al Gore.'

Then the ass said, `Wait till 04.'

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,

`Doubtless,' said I, `what it utters is its only stock and store,

Caught beneath our fascist chimp master, reeling from economic disaster,

Followed fast and followed faster till his brayings one burden bore -

Till the dirges of his hope that melancholy burden bore

Of 'Wait Till '04.'

Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed by the donkey's anal censer,

the stink of donkey-floppings whisping o'er the bust of Howard Dean standing by my chamber door.

`Ass,' I cried, `by thy words thou hath pained me - by these poopstains hath thou stained me!

'Away, Strange Ass, away and bray no more, dismaying me with memories of Al Gore!

'I pray thee mercy and stop, stop reminding me of that Tennessean bore!'

Quoth the donkey, `Wait till 04.'

`Be that word our sign of parting, ass or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting, as the ass began loudly farting -

`Stop rubbing your ass all over my chamber door!

'Leave no brown loaf as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!

'Leave my loneliness unbroken! - stop crapping all over my floor!

'Take thy ass away from this place, and stop reminding me of Al Gore!'

Quoth the donkey, `Wait till 04.'

And that donkey, never flitting, still is sitting, still is shitting,

On the "Save the Whales" welcome mat lying by my chamber door;

O Cursed Ass! What mischief hath thou arranged, my fragile psyche thou hath ill deranged,

'from my mind hath thou all sense estranged, filling me with false hope that all might be changed,

'changed-- do not tempt me with fancies strange, that the fascist chimp might yet be exchanged

'for President Albert Alphonse Gore!'

And yet the evil ass still is sitting, his dirty ass ever shitting,

shitting o'er the crystal unicorns arranged upon my floor;

And dares me yet to dream, dream of taking the White House once more, of Borking judges on the Senate floor,

of paying unwed mothers, cutting the military like we've never cut before,

legalizing pot, hugging trees, and giving heroin needles to the poor,

My mind has become unhinged; I've joined the political fringe!

Just you all wait -- wait till 04!

There was a lot of resistance to the notion at the outset. But with total media control they had at that time, anyone who was opposed was readily, easily and completely branded as regressive racists and opposition was snuffed out with relative ease.

Posted by: Wyatt Earp at January 28, 2019 11:49 AM (bkUtD)

Because it doesn't actually despise them. It despises us. As Covington showed us, quite a few "conservative" websites actively market that hate as well. Until the slipped mask becomes too obvious.

You know, one thing I realized over the weekend is that the dynamics within the legal system and media are very much that of a colonial society. You have minorities being pushed to the front of a well paid and influential sector, convinced that it is for merit. In reality, they are there to serve as regime loyalists, against the interests of the native population. The hatred engendered among the natives against the minorities serves as a useful distraction from the elites that sponsor the media and laws, while the hatred causes fear among the minorities and forces them to double down on regime support.

I'm silly for not applying the lessons of colonial Britain to modern America. How neat.

175 Oh, I didn't see this post. My bah'd comment:

#Learntocode?

In 1978, I powered up my new Radio Shack Model I and typed in

? "Hello"

The computer replied

Hello

I'd been looking forward to that moment ever since I semi-hacked the public terminals at the IBM exhibit at the NY World's Fair in '64.

It was a lot of study and experimentation between that first little command and the hardware fixes and machine-level games I later wrote, but it was a good My First Desktop for learning the ins and outs of software and hardware.

I was never a pro programmer, but always liked making these machines dance to my tune. I'm just another user with machines nowadays, mostly. I know how to reboot. Utilities and apps are for the younger people. Who, by the way, don't seem to be very good at their jobs!

A person interested in programming could do worse than cut their teeth on a Model I with the child-could-do-it instruction book. I hear HeathKit is supposed to be coming back. Unemployed journalisters take note.

177 About everything being "Hate Speech" :

This "Celebrate Victimhood!" mindset on the Left has caused people I was on friendly terms with not 5 years ago to have turned into emotionally-wrecked balls of neuroses that suddenly have 5 or 6 "conditions" that their therapists (who they've only recently gone to, going by their Twitter) have diagnosed for them, and now they demand to have everybody they know acknowledge their victimhood for it and afford them special treatment because of it. And that if the proper amount of sympathy and deference isn't shown, then it's tantamount to "hate".

It's just a sad state of affairs that they're allowing themselves to be worked into such a downward neurotic spiral.

Targeted? Probably. Coordinated? Probably not. Its a meme. Memes are organic. There's no wood-paneled room full of cigar smoke, club furniture and evil conservatives plotting the takedown.

There's no coordination, there's just a lot of hate for worthless pseudo-journalists who hate most of the people who are ostensibly in their target audience.

Hello

I'd been looking forward to that moment ever since I semi-hacked the public terminals at the IBM exhibit at the NY World's Fair in '64.

...

A person interested in programming could do worse than cut their teeth on a Model I with the child-could-do-it instruction book

in 1979, i went up to montana with a group of my high school friends to see the eclipse. one of their parents brought along their brand spanking new trs-80 model i (level i basic, 4k ram). read the manual on the way up and stayed up all night before the eclipse playing with the thing.

A source at Twitter just called me to explain this a bit more. I'm told the particular term ("learn to code") isn't the problem; it's the targeted and coordinated harassment of specific individuals, which has long been against the platform's rules. Perhaps a useful clarification.

Targeted?

=====
It is to laugh.

It WAS targeted and coordinated when Obama said it, and then the Times, Post, CNN, etc etc ad nauseam ran with it over and over again for a month.

They are in living in a different universe that just every so lightly overlaps with this one. Sadly, it does not overlap enough for them to perceive just how hypocritical they are . . .

322 After what we've all witnessed from Jack Dorsey's Frankenstein monster, I don't know how anyone can still be on that ridiculously biased platform. How can you be a part of Sh*tter, where "learn to code" is hate speech, but calling conservatives the most vile of names, threatening Trump-supporting children with extreme violence, calling Jews termites barely registers a yawn. Why be a part of that? It doesn't seem like anyone in Washington gives a damn about violation of rights and suppression of free speech for a certain segment of society. Nothing in the pipeline to regulate them. So far, no lawsuits for discrimination that I know of either. The only recourse is to leave it.

382 SNOBOL -- StriNg Oriented and symBOlic Language -- is a family of programming languages originally developed in the mid 1960s, primarily for the purpose of text processing and string analysis.

The last stable release of SNOBOL by the original developers was SNOBOL4, in 1967. You'll see both books and websites use both "SNOBOL" and "SNOBOL4" (and sometimes "Snobol"). On anything after 1967, these all refer to the same (final) version of the language.

There were also a handful of extensions and implementations. Snocone is a language preprocessor that provides syntactic sugar to the language, making it easier to use. SPITBOL is a compiler for SNOBOL; this is of particular interest because it was originally thought that SNOBOL was uncompilable. There is also the Snowball programming language, which was inspired by and named after SNOBOL.

Why don't you take your writing skills (being a writer), couple them with your doctorate in romantic comedies, and try writing a romantic comedy. Just crank out a short paperback, see if you can sell it. You could even plagiarize a little as most of your crowd is good with that.

405 my degree is in philosophy. after my graduation, after my beaming parents and i retired to a&w for some celebratory hamburgers and root beer, dad says: "philosophy? i always thought philosophers were folks sitting around with one thumb in their mouth and the other up their ass trying to decide which to pull out first!"

naturally, i put my degree to work by becoming a programmer; i.e., i learned to code.

I'm in exactly the same situation. Degree in philosophy (though I was a computer science major for a while), now a systems analyst doing a lot of database coding.

Of course, I favored the logic side of philosophy.

Eric Allman used it as the configuration language for sendmail and I did not even recognize it. Someone told me about it long after I gave up on sendmail.

I had to learn SNOBOL in a course on data structures. Fortunately only 2 of 6 assignments were in SNOBOL and assignments were only 40% of the grade ... so I passed (the rest was ALGOL).

408 From the sidebar - "what happens to those conservative writers at the WS who were just trying to put out conservative articles?"

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. This applies to twitter, as well - if you help to keep a wicked and corrupt system going, then you have only yourself to blame for the consequences when it finally comes down.

People do. People have by large numbers in the past, shutting down the switchboard, piling tons of letters in etc. You know what happens? They cackle, rub their hands together, and do whatever the hell they want anyway.

The time to act is when primary elections take place and stop voting for the same a-hole who keeps annoying you all term long.

No exaggeration, 4-5 times per day (for two days), the organizer kept "reminding" us that we didn't want too many white male presenters or panels with only white men. She dedicated 4 slides to it in the opening presentation. It was very uncomfortable, and there isn't a single other group where it would be at all okay to be that blatantly discriminatory.

511 In a court document filed Sunday, lawyers for the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell wrote they "do not dispute" what Saints coach Sean Payton told reporters after the game -- that the league called him and admitted the officiating error shortly after New Orleans' 26-23 overtime loss.

"And, because the officials on the field are humans, like the players and coaches, errors will happen. The NFL parties do not dispute that they have previously advised the Saints, including the club's head coach, that one or more penalties -- for pass interference or illegal helmet-to-helmet contact -- were mistakenly not called late in the NFC Championship Game, and that the NFL would like its officials on the field to make these calls," the league's lawyers wrote.

"This was acknowledged immediately after the game to the coach of the New Orleans Saints by NFL Senior Vice President of Officiating Al Riveron."

It was a miraculous thing at the time, next to COBOL (which I'd done maintenance coding in) or FORTRAN (which was syntactically closer, but did very little after college), but it seemed like PL/I got what a programming language should be.

Of course, C was like PL/I without the IBM collared shirt and necktie, much more freedom, but also easier to shoot yourself in the foot.

BTW, I started as a VM sysprog about thirty years ago. We ran VM/SP because a higher-up preferred interactive over batch for no good reason. About 80% of what I had to do was recreating facilities [badly] that MVS would have given us out of the box.

I spent a week at one point a dozen years ago going through the code that made up James Hansen's GISS, and concluded he knew less about FORTRAN than I did.

It was literally a learning experience for him, and it was obvious that I should trust his 'software models' no more than I'd trust a tax software program from a second-year CS student.

The magical acceptance of the quality of the input data and the lack of bounds-checking sticks in my mind.

That and CPAN compilation woes finally pushed me over to Java.

Sweet in that that is some of the funniest and best writing I have ever been privileged and fortunate enough to read.

Screamingly funny.

Bitter in that it comes so infrequently now.

Perhaps that is inevitable. Now that our backs are against the walls, perhaps humor must give way to righteous rage.

So it goes.

Perhaps when this is all over, some of that amazing talent that created the "Kaboom" story, the "Dennis Miller Gets Sodomized by a Kodiac Bear", the "Ace of Spades Sex for Money Skankathon", can turn back to mith , instead of war.

But this isn't the time for that I suppose.

Again, so be it.

So bring your righteous fury against our enemies and hammer then without mercy.
