I suspect that he probably isn't. But there are other factors. Mueller wasn't given a blank check. He is investigating *something.* He can't just go completely wild. And even if there are skeletons in Trump's closet (again, I think it's likely), how long ago were they put there?

He probably isn't, Emmie. But, he's certainly presidenting in a conservative way on most things and to me (and I suspect to you) that's the most important thing. Besides, I do believe that people can change and I believe he did change for the better on the abortion issue. So I can believe that he's good in other areas too no matter what his past may or may not have been.

It's not spin and the NYT article of the other day helps point out what was happening. McCabe and his corrupt crew had already opened up a counterintelligence investigation against Trump because he fired McCabe. That was it. Not a shred of evidence, just firing Comey. And there was no stopping it, not in any practical political way.
The appointment of Mueller, who Trump had interviewed the day before his appointment, removed that investigation from the corrupt FBI and put it under Rosenstein's control. And after that over a dozen senior people at the FBI and DOJ (as Trump just mentioned again today) were fired, demoted or forced to retire.
And now Mueller is going to effectively clear Trump.

I have had lousy luck with Schick razors. They had a flex razor that absolutely s--ked, and their Quattro just plain failed.
My favorite was the Gillette Excel, a two (2!) blade razor, except the refills cost as much as their new five blade razors.

And as I've pointed our here numerous times when he testified to Congress he said that what he signed is not what has been publicly discussed and he was happy to be interviewed by Horowitz and confident his investigation would clear him.
Trump has been saying over and over again that he likes Rosenstein. Sarah Sanders has been saying the same thing. He's invited him to the White House for personal functions. He helped bring Kavanaugh to Congress. He is even letting him retire on his own timeline rather than forcing him out as he has with other people he didn't want around.
Rosenstein was dropped into a shitty situation but Trump is going to emerge unscathed and no matter how much they whine the left is not going to convince many people that somehow Mueller went from a great guy who needed to be protected to a Trump buttboy.

The appointment of Mueller, who Trump had interviewed the day before his appointment, removed that investigation from the corrupt FBI and put it under Rosenstein's control. And after that over a dozen senior people at the FBI and DOJ (as Trump just mentioned again today) were fired, demoted or forced to retire.
And now Mueller is going to effectively clear Trump.

Korean manufacture, I believe. Their 6 blade razor refills were less than half of the Gillette razors at Costco, so I placed an order.
I still had nearly half of them when an email Dorco sent me a special offer, 50% off their normal pricing. For the 6 blades, with a lubrication strip. They do this once a year.
I now have at least 3 years worth of blades, at about a quarter of what the Costco Gillette blades cost. They work great.
After a while, the decision becomes a no brainer.

The investigation was FBI, there was no need to appoint a SC as it would've went right to the new head of the FBI once appointed.
McCabe reported directly to Rosenstein in the meantime. And as Rosenstein was already in on "get Trump" meetings (according to Rosenstein not in agreement with them) he was in the perfect position to shut the shitshow down immediately.

Well - the smart GOP Play would be to oppose that. Play the investigation up bigly. But they won't. Because that would require some will to fight. They don't have any.
This investigation will not "backfire" on the Dems. This shit never does. The Dems took a shot at Trump, with tacit support from some Repubs, and missed. The understanding was always that it was a free shot.
