Quiet Preparations Being Made In Case of Ruth Bader Ginsburg Vacacy

Frontrunning candidate to be next nominee to the high court? Squi.

F-f-f-f-fuck liberals.

Quiet preparations are underway within conservative legal circles and the White House counselís office in the event that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg retires, two sources familiar with the process tell The Daily Caller.

The 85-year-old Ginsburg did not appear for oral arguments at the Supreme Court on Monday, missing the first session in her 25 years on the court for reasons of ill health....

"Gingerly preparations are underway, not just for Ginsburg but for any SCOTUS retirement," a source directly involved in the Supreme Court nominations of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh told TheDC.

Gingerly preparations? Isn't Amy Coney Barrett a ginger?

SOON.

Remember, the NeverTrumpers sneered us down when we pointed out that there would be a guaranteed one, a likely three, and a possible five Supreme Court justices appointed under the next president.

See, they're the people who Really Know Stuff About Politics. That's why we should always obey their self-serving wishcasting "predictions."

8 Justice Ginsburg is fine. However, she did call in to say that she will not be in the office today, again.

She said she was asked by the Secretary to assist Agent Ethan Hunt with an urgent IMF mission involving the recovery of missing nuclear warheads.

I ask for everyone's understanding on behalf of Justice Ginsburg. She's not required to accept these missions, you know, and if things go poorly there is a possibility the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of her actions.

She said she will keep me informed as to what her vote is on all matters before the court.

They were crucial wins of course, but after all of the drama and ?controversy and anger, what if a Dem is running the show in 2021" Ginsburg and Breyer would safely retire, locking down the liberal wing, and then we hold our breath for 4 years+ and hope they don't get to replace Thomas, swinging the court back to the left for a generation, and making all the previous battles meaningless. No thanks.

I wish Ginsberg no ill and hope she recovers enough to be able to enjoy a nice retirement, but in my dream of dreams, her or Thomas retire before the fall and Trump gets to replace, guaranteeing a 5-conservative majority for decades (OK maybe 4.5 with Roberts), no matter what shenanigans go down in 2020.

Creating RoBotGinsburg has been easy, and hard. Easy because it's much easier to replicate the physical behavior of an octogenarian than it is a kid leaping around a playground. Even their behaviors are more predictable, you have seven-plus decades of known actions and reactions to work from.

What's harder is making sure the algorithms have digested not just what's in the public record, but finding the little crap that isn't, the pee the puppy left on the carpet thirty years ago, the babysitter that left the front door unlocked way-back-when, and so on. You can only play clueless so much.

I am certain. In medicine, quite a few residents do great work , then have the attending sign off on it. But the senior in a profession has to add some value, otherwise what are they there for? If they only verify the results with the weight of authority, fine. But. If a resident forged the signature of an attending, even if they 100% knew the attending would approve, there would be jail time and lawsuits.

The legal profession should either be held to the same standard, or exposed as a sham.

Posted by: trev006 at January 09, 2019 12:24 PM (VJTFS)

209 Chronic excuse-making in Congresscritters may start out subtly. The trouble begins when blaming others works to get them out of consequences. This is when it can become a much bigger part of their personality, because they're using it to solve their problems. Keep in mind that while your goal is to teach your Congresscritters to take responsibility instead of blaming others, his goal is probably to get out of being punished.

Why is it so important to address excuse-making? As your child grows up and becomes an adult, the people in his life won't accept excuses for his behavior.

A reverse of Chevron is in the cards with 5-6 conservative votes.

Take out Chevron, and suddenly the administrative state can't just make up rules anymore. It opens up massive lawsuits against the government for rules that bear no relationship to laws passed by Congress and signed by the President.

It would be a body blow that the administrative state probably couldn't get up from.

From Reagan on, there have been deals cut with the Dems for Border Security, giving concessions to the Dems.

But they don't hold up their end of the deal.

He needed to list those. List the times the Dems have promised but not delivered.

Then said, well, they now want to make another deal which they will not follow through on.

317 Don't get too froggy. The progs will keep her around William Douglas-style if they have to:
At age 76 on December 31, 1974, while on vacation with his wife Cathleen in the Bahamas,
Douglas suffered a debilitating stroke in the right hemisphere of his
brain. It paralyzed his left leg and forced him to use a wheelchair.
Douglas, severely disabled, insisted on continuing to participate in
Supreme Court affairs despite his obvious incapacity. Seven of his
fellow justices voted to postpone until the next term any argued case in
which Douglas's vote might make a difference.[44] At the urging of Fortas, Douglas finally retired on November 12, 1975, after 36 years of service....
Douglas maintained that he could assume judicial senior status on the Court, and attempted to continue serving in that capacity, according to authors Woodward and Armstrong, and refused to accept his retirement, trying to participate in the Court's cases well into 1976, after John Paul Stevens had taken his former seat.[47]
Douglas reacted with outrage when, returning to his old chambers, he
discovered that his clerks had been reassigned to Stevens, and when he
tried to file opinions in cases whose arguments he had heard before his
retirement, Chief Justice Warren Burger
ordered all justices, clerks, and other staff members to refuse help to
Douglas in those efforts. When Douglas tried in March 1976 to hear
arguments in a capital-punishment case, Gregg v. Georgia,
the nine sitting justices signed a formal letter informing him that his
retirement had ended his official duties on the court. Only then did
Douglas withdraw from Supreme Court business

"Should be" is the operative phrase. But it isn't, that's the rub. In our system, under the Constitution, NO ONE is allowed to apply any standards or rules to the Supreme Court, or its justices, except the Supreme Court itself. Good point to bring up to anyone who thinks the Constitution doesn't have any gaping flaws - it does.

(the single exception being impeachment, which has already been pointed out is a ridiculous option - although I should point out that West Va. has been impeaching a good part of their State Supreme Court, which is encouraging)

I do want Trump to humiliate liberal lawyers by exposing RBG as a comatose shell who can't even read the opinions she supposedly authors. Eventually public pressure will force Roberts to speak out against her, or be further revealed as a liberal shill.

I think clerks should be jailed for fraud if they represent a judge's opinion even when the judge is in a coma, but clearly the Supreme Court and its servants are above petty laws. Not the best look, to put it mildly.

I think all three branches should have mechanisms for declaring laws unconstitutional.

I'd rather have them constantly fighting about rules already on the books, than only coming up with new ways to screw with the American people while waiting patiently for SCOTUS to deem the issue worthy of their attention.

You know what happened to the Alien and Sedition Acts?

Jefferson called them unconstitutional and refused to enforce them. I honestly like that tact.

Adopting kids in this country is a huge pain in the ass. Years and tens of thousands of dollars only for heartbreak. The foster care cartel make it difficult. Kids spend years moving from foster homes to neglectful parents and back before they're finally taken away for good. In many cases they have severe issues due to drugs and abuse. Child Services agencies in many parts of the country are corrupt, and social workers will place kids with workers' relatives who then kick back a portion of the assistance money.

Hence why many couples adopt from overseas.

Have heard that it is harder to adopt US kids? For example, a lot of birth moms are scared off by various state adoption disclosure laws that ensure that their kid will eventually find them. Also, activists work against mixed race adoptions because white parents can't properly teach the non-white kids their culture. And on and on.

583 And Warai-otoko I like the rest of your initial post. I don't think adopting non white Non American children is necessarily a sign of liberalism or virtue signaling. It could simply be a loving act.

584 Those chicken tenders were frozen in boxes. That sheriff is full of shit. They were perfectly edible with ranch sauce. sheesh. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

585 121 As long as he continues to appoint people from that list he made up at first we will be fine. But I am still not sure about Kavanaugh.

Either Judge Roy Moore or Judge Roy Bean DA 1977 would suit me. If not them then ACB it is.

586 #579 You want to bother libtards just bring up the women's vote thing. Suggest that because they are not subject to the draft they should not get to vote.

587 If it was money that fell off that truck that same sheriff would be complaining about people picking up spoiled money I bet.

Barrett adopted two haitians. Don't we have enough kids in this country that need to be adopted? She's just another virtue signaling piece of shit that will go full on leftard as soon as she's appointed. Nominating her would be a huge mistake.

595 "Adopting kids in this country is a huge pain in the ass. Years and tens of thousands of dollars only for heartbreak..."

The same is true for international adoption. Also, why did she feel she must adopt to begin with? She has five bio kids, one of them with special needs. She is not a stay home mom, obviously. If she had to help a child in this manner (why?) she could have fostered domestically.

She either 1) felt soft for these 2 kids (saw them somewhere) and adopted them against her better judgment or 2) this is a part of her broader belief system which entails treating foreigners as US citizens (this is more likely). Neither bodes well for her tenure on SC.

Everyone is pushing for this basically unknown judge with a huge red flag to own the libs through abortion. But that's not the only important issue. This will be David French on the bench.

598 In fact, if they wanted to really give us a run for our money, Putin rolls on Europe while Xi takes Taiwan. And Iran goes after Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Posted by: torabora

The Poles would stop Putin cold, Xi would watch the PLA die in the Taiwan Straights - before our carriers even got there, and Iran would get bogged down in Iraq - KSA might need the USN to stop the Shia flotilla in the Gulf.

601 A Clever Way to uncover Totally free Adult Chat Rooms!

Chatting over the internet is hugely popular. The problem is
you can find few free adult forums where we can discuss adult topics.
Due to their popularity, website owners increasingly opt to charge for that service.
In this article, you will learn how you can easily find numerous
these chat communities, many of which are entirely free.
It has become difficult to find good places for adults to speak.

Most of this is due to the spread of instant messengers, virtual worlds, and social networks.

The few good chat sites available usually are full or, worse still,
full and intent on asking you to pay a membership fee. To most folks, it seems
like the days of good, fun, lively free places for adults with an adult chat have died.
Thankfully, there's a significant clever opportinity for us
to still find good rooms.
All of the big dating communities offer their members free
adult forums. Now, I'm sure you're thinking, "Yes, and the internet dating sites also impose a fee a regular membership of these free rooms!"
This is not always true. Many such chat communities cost nothing, others have the freedom
but have limited features to the non-paying members, and others still offer a
totally free service for girls.
The beauty of joining a substantial, well-known dating community is that you get given use of an enormous adult chatting community containing hundreds, sometimes many people utilizing it at anyone
time. Better yet, their rooms tend to offer users the opportunity to hook of their
webcams. So you might be chatting away inside a room and have the
opportunity to click a user profile watching them on their webcam,
too!
