And the interest meter starts . . . now! Posted by: Count de Monet at December 11, 2018 04:13 PM Nope. This is important. The judge ordered her to pay X amount of dollars. He didn't say with interest. As long as she sends a single dollar a week off to pay down the judgement she's fine. Which I'm sure will be her plan of action. Now if she makes some sort of agreement with Trumps lawyers to pay interest that's a different story. But that takes her from one category; incredibly stupid, into intergalactic level of stupidity. ________________ This judge, but maybe she'll have better luck with the judge in her legal malpractice suit against Avenatti. She probably has a good claim. After all, she's not the legal expert, so she's not the one who should have decided that filing the lawsuit against Trump was a bad idea. And if Avenatti didn't fully disclose to Daniels all the risks to her (like getting stuck for $300k in Trump's lawyer fees if they lost), then he's the one who should have to pay. Of course, since deadbeat Avenatti's probably judgment proof, it may just be a pyrrhic victory for Daniels. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at December 11, 2018 04:30 PM (fqUgw) 185

This judge, but maybe she'll have better luck with the judge in her legal malpractice suit against Avenatti. I still say Trump would have been smarter to not have engaged with Stormy Daniels legally.
Sure, Trump was victorious in court, won some money, ruined Stormy and Avenatti, but everyone paid attention to this story when dumb fuck Cohen sued her over the NDA she signed. I just know I had completely dismissed the story as just another gold digging ho that was lying until Trump sued her over violating her NDA. It also gave Mueller a 2nd life with his sham investigation, my guess is Mueller will largely hang his hat over campaign finance. Just don't think it was worth this much of Trump's bandwidth to get back at Stormy. Posted by: Blago at December 11, 2018 04:48 PM (UfkIY) 266

Maintaining frame is good 9/10 times, but some people are in a cocaine induced euphoric state and can't see how fucked they are when the music stops and there aren't enough chairs. Avenatti thought he was a king, turns out he was a pawn. Considering that he was probably threatened with extreme punishment if he backed down, I'm sure he isn't in a good place. Posted by: kallisto at December 11, 2018 04:24 PM (+OYy0) He has always maintained that he did not have sex with her. They met at a golf tournament which is where the one and only photo of them together was taken, in the clubhouse or on the course in a tent with a zillion other people around. The story has always been , back before Trump EVER began a campaign, that her co sex worker girlfriend ran to some media outlet and told them that Daniels told her that she had a one night stand with Donald Trump. Daniels denied it , and it went away. Until Trump decided to run for president. Tabloids, including the National Enquirer , were trying to recycle the story again and they went back to Daniels. Sometime during this period, Avenetti, who has worked with the Democrats for years on campaigns, etc. ( just their type, sleazy) suddenly showed up to represent Daniels. I believe he and the Dems told her to threaten Trump with the story in order to derail his presidential campaign and they would pay her bigly. Then Cohen decided to offer her an NDA with $130,000 to shut up and go away, and they took it. Then it was leaked to the press that there was an NDA and payment made to Daniels , which must mean Trump did have an affair with her he wanted to keep quiet. Next, Avenetti is talking about Cohen and Trump and then the Stormy Daniels talk show tour started, she began blathering about having a one night stand , then went on 60 minutes for the infamous detailed ridiculous story of their sexcapade. It was obvious the NDA didn't work, Cohen sort of half heartedly went after them regarding the violation of it, then Avenetti advised Daniels to sue Trump for defamation when he said she was simply trying to get money, that he hadn't had sex with her, he would never have had sex with a porn actress, etc. The suit was dismissed, but it still went to court and Trump incurred all these court costs to get it dismissed. And since it was deemed frivolous, Clifford owes him bigly to cover the costs of his defense. Posted by: Jen the original at December 11, 2018 04:51 PM (L/94n) 273

This is more significant than meets the eye.
Since Mueller is making "payoffs to Stormy Daniels" the centerpiece of his Impeachment Memo getting an actual judgment against Daniels will help show how sleazy she really is --because blowing random dudes on camera no longer qualifies as sleazy in our country. It really goes to how the "payoffs" were likely a result of La Sleaze already having tried to extort him by an means necessary, i.e. making the whole transaction more a reflection on her than him. The "legal" part of the "Impeachment" fiasco (to come) will center around Finance Law. But as we know, its all about The Narrative. Posted by: xnycpeasant at December 11, 2018 04:54 PM (koNhm) 286

It would seem that the money/slush fund is from house appropriated and controlled funds and doesn't touch the executive branch layer. Pence is a dullard. He thought about running for pres in 2012 but backed down. People seem to forget that he's just not a charismatic guy. He's another one of these VP's that can't get there on their own so they try a side shot way in thru the VP slot. They are ALWAYS a disappointment. They are not up to the job and wind up making the situation worse. Frankly all VP's should be told they won't be endorsed for President unless they've been gone from vp slot for over 4 years. They really are a huge disappointment. Take a look at history and you'll see what I mean. Oh they have good chance of winning (but not all that good as ppl think) but they wind up being disaster for their party. Posted by: jakee308 at December 11, 2018 05:18 PM (auJJo) 360

TJM;
They say a mom becomes a mom at comception, but a Dad doest become a Dad until the baby is born. I say bullshit. My wife lost our second very late in her pregnancy and it was crushing to me. It was the only time in the last 15 years that I flat out, no holds barred cried like a baby. In private, alone. If it helps to know, the pain and loss passes in time. The baby you will eventually have will be amazing and you'll love him, and it helps me to know that pur second born would not exist if her older brother hadn't died and left a place for her in our lives. Be strong for your wife. Be the rock that your family needs now. I'll pray that you all heal quickly.
